ESPN confirms that Frerotte will start (1 Viewer)

I think it is best to avoid Gus unless you are very desperate. STL looks bad. I do not think they are going to look any better with Gus.,

i am pretty desperate. have mcnabb and bye and leinart sucks. so going with jason campbell this week....

ouch.

i want no part of frerotte.

Linehan takes over play-calling dutiesBy Jim ThomasST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH10/03/2007At the start of practice Wednesday, coach Scott Linehan walked over to reporters and confirmed that he will take over play-calling duties starting with Sunday's game against Arizona and that offensive coordinator Greg Olson will be moving up to the coach's booth during games. It was another 180-degree change of heart by Linehan, who on Monday issued a strong defense of Olson as the team's play caller. Olson had taken over playing calling for the final six games of the 2006 season following a shutout loss to Carolina. During that time, the Rams went 4-2 and averaged 28 points per game. But in part because of injuries, the Rams have scored only 39 points this season, the second-lowest total in the league, and have scored only two offensive touchdowns.
This can't hurt either.Needless to say, the Rams have been bad. Heck, even I put a small fortune on Dallas last week. However, and there is always a however in life, this may be a good oportunity to "buy low" on the Rams.

I think we should completely drop the phrase "ESPN confirms" until their reporting improves and actually carries some weight. The only thing I trust EPSN confirming at this point is that Emmitt Smith is an idiot and doesn't belong in front of a television camera. Everything else, I'll check with other sources first before I believe it.

campbell vs. det should be your choice over mcnabb or leinart anyways, but what does that have to do with ESPN confirming Frerotte will start?

I think it's safe to say that if Bulger is benched for a few weeks until he's healthy, the season might all be lost (if it isn't already). If thats the case do they rush back Jackson? If they are 0-7 and possibly in the running for "worst" team in football and the |#1 pick in next years draft couldn't you see them sitting Jackson until he is fully healed? Who knows how long "fully" healed would be?
