ESPN Mort Chat - Free live, but now Insider only ? (1 Viewer)

Did anyone else notice just a half hour ago with the live Mort chat you could post and follow, but now I've gone back and its Insider only?

Does ESPN normally do this with chats, open it up to everyone to get questions, then shut it down to make it pay-only? I've never noticed with their chats before, I thought they were always free, even archives?

ESPN doing this for quite awhile now for pretty much all their chats in all sports. Live chats = all welcome. Archieved = insider only.

Thanks, DY. Guess I hadn't been too interested in their chats in awhile. Only ones I bother to read are Simmons', and those have always been free archived, but I guess more bc they are positioned as column content.

The hawk the crap out of that ESPN Insider on all their radio shows. Seems at least every break. Not enough they make money hand over fist in that place, they gotta try and pinch the little guy to listen to their radio drivel?

Does anybody really pay whatever they're trying to scam so he can podcast Mike and Mike and Dan Patrick? :o

I actually pay for ESPN insiders just for the Herd podcasts. I can't stand the other shows. But Cowherd is entertaining and as a bonus he talks sports. The other stuff, the insider website stuff, I barely use. Once a month there might be an insider link I click. P.S. I used to pay for the Rome podcasts, but he's gotten soft and I enjoy the Herd more.
