Whether it's for health, fun, or both...what do you do for physical activity? Are you in a sport league/club?

Personally, I like to run (outside and the gym), lift weights, and bowl.

:D

I've gotten back to men's basketball once a week for a couple months. I got back into it mostly to get my high school son there. I'm the oldest at 42. Most of the others are late 20s to early 30s. Its been good for the kid. Personally, I need to be going 5 times a week. :bag:

At my career high 217lbs.

I play competitive soccer and I am a member of a fencing club, though I don't take that one very seriously.  Outside of those, I do yoga and ride my bike regularly.

Crossfit and ice hockey.

I'm also an ice hockey ref on the side, I can a really hard skate in there sometimes.

Played sports growing up and eventually got tired of it after a couple years out of high school.  Now just lift and do cardiovascular a couple days a week.

Lift and run. I play sports as often as I can, but the opportunity doesnt come as often as I would like.

Mountain biking.  Always gives me something to tinker with, which I enjoy, and keeps me in shape.
Thought about this eventually but I don't lives near any mountains.  Have a friend who does this a lot and loves it.  Can get expensive,  though.

Disc golf

Running around in the back yard with the dog

Walking over to have sex with the old lady who lives across the street

Starting yoga again after a ~10 year layoff

Landscaping

I run. It's a love/hate relationship.

Love it because I've lost 20 pounds and kept it off for the last 4 years. Also have run a couple of marathons, a bunch of half's, and a 5K. Love it because I had no idea of the outfits women wore at those races.

Hate it because it's running and crawling out of bed at 5 in the morning just flat out sucks somedays.

swimming 3-4 days a week for 30 minutes. on a good day can crank out 1300 to 1500 yds.

golf once a week when the weather's good.

I've been doing kettlebell swings every morning for the past 4 months. I like that I can do it at home and if gets my heart rate up very quickly. It doesn't really build muscle but I've lost a visible amount of body fat. Also hike as often as I can.

Also sometimes if some Michael Jackson or Earth Wind & Fire comes up on my Pandora, I'll spontaneously get down, full-on white dude at a wedding mode.

Volleyball 2x/week.

Basketball every now and then

Lifting/biking/yoga/cardio/hiking very sporadically (i.e.; not as often as I ought to).

Sports are a much more fun exercise than... exercise.

Work out with weights for 45-60 minutes first thing in the morning 4-5 days a week.  After work I try I walk the dogs for up to an hour..on a good day I can get 4 miles in one hour. I have 2 Labs and they set a good pace. Been averaging 80- 90 miles a month on my Nike app, hit 100 a couple of times in the summer.

I used to play softball but gave that up, too many pulled hammys and groins from sprinting, still play hockey sometimes 2 games a week with guys I played in college with.  Only problem is the games are at 10-11 at night. I get home all jacked up and can`t sleep on those nights.

Golf in a league in the summer but even though I walk I drink at least 2-3 beers in 9 holes not counting after. So not sure that counts.

Ditto here.  Would prefer to play sports more but can't really commit to a game-time schedule so it's mostly gym life instead.

Like most of these things it's as expensive as you make it.

I bought a $400 bike off craigslist three years ago that I get tuned up once a year for 35 bucks and I've taken it out all over the place including big 35 mile 6000 vertical feet rides.

Very.  The retail price of my primary mountain bike now is around $5k (full suspension 29'er carbon).  I ride with guys who have $10k+ bikes.

Very true.  My hardtail was under $1k brand new.  It's when you go carbon and full suspension that they get "stupid expensive".

Mainly lifting weights. I would say sex but my woman does most the work.

Weight lifting & I'm about to start coaching my kids soccer team.  Hopefully I can pick up a little well needed cardio.

I play squash 3 times a week, fantastic fun exercise. A form of HIIT, in my opinion.

I run when the weather is good but winters are just too cold and sidewalks paths too snow covered and I'm too uncoordinated.

Softball in the summer but it's barely exercise. Hoping to get back into a ball hockey league in the summer. Did indoor soccer last winter as well but it's tough getting enough people to commit and it didn't happen this year.

Leg extensions.

The wife and I walk 2 miles with our dogs almost every night.

Squats and core 2x/week.

Swim 1x / week, sometimes more.

And I run a little.

Flag football.  Need to get back into a winter sport, as I haven't played indoor floor hockey in a few years since I moved away from the closest facility that held games.  Flag football isn't the workout that floor hockey is, but the spring and fall leagues somehow keep me in shape (although the winters without hockey have been getting tougher and tougher).

I miss my volleyball, basketball, and broomall days but - kids.

I just run now. Been inconsistent with strength training, but getting back on the 3x per week wagon this winter.

Also coach my oldest sons track team and the family did the couch to 5k program with him last summer. Middle son may be this year.

I'm now 3 months post-op this week after tearing my ACL/MCL so looking forward to trying to get back to some stuff.

Rec softball
Karate
Tennis

I'll leave the basketball alone for now.  I'm also allergic to the gym.  My wife runs so I might start trying to join her, but I have always hated running.

I've been doing MMA workouts for about four years now. The last one has been pretty much just boxing though. I highly recommend a boxing class for people wanting to get into shape. I've never had so much fun working out, and it really gets your competitive juices going again.

I do jiu-jitsu four days a week - love it - and teach a fitness kickboxing class twice a week - which has been fun.

With the NFL season over, I plan to start lifting weight three days a week and running three days as well.

I didn't know you were teaching a class. That's awesome! Got a lot of hot housewifes in there?

You've really been kicking some butt over the last few years

I walk my lab twice a day.

Go to the gym 3-4X a week.  1/2 hour treadmill, 1/2 hour on elliptical.  Then I'll do some floor work with core, lots of stretching, pushups, etc.  I'm doing less weights as don't want to be too tight for golf.  I don't go as hardcore in the gym as I used to.  Just trying to stay reasonably fit.

Golf 2X a week if weather is good

Don't let the way fall aside too much JS.  As we get older, resistance training is our only natural ally in our continuing battle with  muscle loss.
