This ESPN coverage is awful. They're literally saying the exact same 3 things over and over and over and over again.
the death penalty has become a sport now?
It always has been. Just look at the threads here. There's always a competition to see who can be more outraged and vengeful.

I hope they kill him publicly, slowly, in front of his victims!

Oh YEAH? I hope they rape him for 10 years, non-stop, with a barbed-wire covered broom handle. And THEN They kill him slowly in front of his victims! I'm actually TOUGH on crime!

and so on.

I would think they'd work in shifts.

brohans stuff like this does not make me happy or feel better because hey he will probably get the death penalty and then he will be gone what will not be gone is the idea that doing what he did is proper or worthy of praise and what is more scary and sad to me is that there are people out there who traffic in that type of hate and who use fear to try to shape society and the answer of how to stop that type of thing is not easy but what i suggest we can all do at the very least is be good to each other all the time it is actually a lot easier than you think and spread the good to fight the bad

Finally, Watertown charges ... Counts 23-26 all Guilty.

Counts 27-28 ... Guilty.

Counts 29-30 ... Guilty.

Guilty on all charges.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts should bring old sparky out of retirement and have this sub-scum ride the lighting.

I'm tough on crime, dagnabbit! !! 1!!

In a bid to save Tsarnaev from a death sentence, defense attorney Judy Clarke has argued that Tsarnaev, then 19, fell under the influence of his radicalized brother. Tamerlan, 26, died when he was shot by police and run over by his brother during a chaotic getaway attempt days after the bombing.

"If not for Tamerlan, it would not have happened," Clarke told the jury during closing arguments.
I've got two older brothers. Both of them have always had a big impact on my life.

But I'm pretty sure that if one of them said "hey, let's go try to kill a bunch of innocent people" I'd balk.

But you'd probably still run them over.

Does being found guilty of everything make the death penalty any more likely? I think everyone already knew that he was going to be found guilty of most of the charges. If he was found guilty of 23 out of 30 instead of all 30 would it have had any effect on the sentencing?

It should be for 26.2 years.

I'm still a bit surprised this dude didn't off himself. There wasn't anything that was going to happen to him that was positive after being on the run.

I don't want him killed. Put him in isolation in a tiny cell. The only person he sees for the next 60 years is the guy who slides his sandwich through the hole in the door three times a day.

This. And I ran Boston the year of the bombings. Death is too easy for this POS.

Hey!!!!!

I have a feeling this jury will come back with th death penalty. Perhaps even more quickly than the 12 hours it took them to unanimously convict.

He's toast.

The Feds put McVeigh on a fast track and smoked him within 5 years of his conviction.

I expect a similar conclusion in this case. I could easily be wrong, though.

Justice is done.
No, vengeance is done.
The whole thing is sad. Young guy living in Boston, he could have gone to the Marathon, cheered the runners, hit the pub, and he could have had a wonderful day and a good life. Instead he decided to build a bomb with nails in a nap sack and he placed that bag next to a child having a beautiful day surrounded by scores of happy people and then he went off to kill more people and gut a city. I don't think I can fathom a reason why he should see another sunrise, you tell me.
