Explosions at Boston Marathon (2 Viewers)

Confirmed explosion at JFK library according to police scanner...
WTF. How far away is this from other two
According to twitter, this is a pic of library...https://twitter.com/DaveWedge/status/323877195313463296/photo/1

I had heard there was a fire at the library. Seems like a heck of a coincidence, but who knows.
I'm sure Boston has fires every day.

Similarly, the "suspicious packages" could just be packages that nobody would have noticed had bombs not gone off at the marathon. They could just be regular ol' boxes. Not saying they shouldn't investigate, but I doubt everything that's reported is linked.

I don't think you understand the difference between one who is placing blame on what happened, and one who is placing a bet on what happened.

I don't know who to blame. I am betting it's a tea party extremist. If I'm wrong, I bet wrong. I never blamed anyone.
this strikes me as tremendously disingenuous, and entirely unproductive in a democracy

Remind me to never occupy the same foxholes as a lot of you in here. Things get stressful and you just eat each other. Calm the F Down! Quit being panicky citizens!

Don't care what kind of terrorists it is, but hopefully with all the video around they catch these ####s and hang them in the town square.

@TimWilliamsCBS: #BREAKINGNEWS: AP reporter says Newtown families were in the VIP section right by the explosion.

It's an internet message board. When have we ever approached entering the realm of productivity by posting here? If anything, this whole place exists to be anti-productive.

It's nice to see some here jumping to the same predictable mainstream media conclusion of a Tea Party, anti-government extremist being the most likely culprit. Time after time you have been proven wrong.

Let's see:

1. Mutiple simultaenous explosions - Known al-Qaeda calling card.

2. There was a wave of al-Qaeda linked bombings in Iraq today. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2013/04/15/iraq-bombings-wave-attacks.html

3. Boston was used as the departure point for two of the four hijacked flights on 9-11 so al-Qaeda has a history of operating there

4. The Boston Marathon is an internationally known and well-televised event allowing for maximum media exposure for a terrorist group

Could this end up being some kind of domestic incident? Sure, but the left's never ending rush to judgement to blame the poltical opposition for every incident which occurs in this nation is pathetic. I would say some of you should be ashamed of yourselves but considering you don't appear to have an ounce of moral fiber in your collective bodies, there's no point.

Please stop. If this was done by a right wing extremist, then he has nothing to do with the Tea Party. The Tea Party is extreme only by American political standards, meaning they hold some rigid views. They are not violent.

You know that flight originated in Maine right?

Also the bolded sentence below after you obviously figured everything out is equally pathetic. What alias is this?

>Atta and Omari arrived in Boston at 6:45. Seven minutes later, Atta apparently took a call from Marwan al Shehhi, a longtime colleague who was at another terminal at Logan Airport. They spoke for three minutes.3 It would be their final conversation.

Between 6:45 and 7:40, Atta and Omari, along with Satam al Suqami, Wail al Shehri, and Waleed al Shehri, checked in and boarded American Airlines Flight 11, bound for Los Angeles. The flight was scheduled to depart at 7:45.4
The hijackers boarded in Boston. What the hell difference does it make where the plane originated? Using semantics to deflect away from all the typical leftist insanity exhibited here isn't going to work.
Just stop, please. You are not helping

guy working at the medical tent said he saw numerous victims with missing limbs
that's really awful.

how is it that limbs just kind of "blow off"

you'd think an explosion would just kind of blow you up, or hurt you as a whole, but it's weird how limbs come off in these explosions or in explosions like land mines, etc.

Man, this whole thing really sucks.
Ball bearings.

You apparently don't understand the difference between semantics and facts.

You said Al-Qaeda has a "history of operating" in Boston, which is not really true. I like that you called someone else pathetic and then blamed Islamic terrorists based on faulty data.

Slow down, friend. He was just positing an explanation for why a bomb would blow off a limb rather than blow up an entire person.

They are going to find the people who did this pretty quickly IMO... There are/were probably thousands of cameras around Boylston today. Something is on camera somewhere.

Umm????

You fools have gone off the damn deep end since 2010 with the whole racist, teabagger crap. The ridiculous rhetoric does not even come close to matching reality.

Remember when Sarah Palin's gun symbols on a campaign site supposedly caused that guy to shoot Congesswoman Giffords when in actuality he was a freakin nutjob? Remember when that guy who flew his plane into an IRS building in Texas was claimed to be a Tea Party party supporter when in actuality he left a manifesto with strong leftist sympathies? Remember when the Colorado movie theater got shot up and the media blamed in on a Tea Party worker who happened to share the same name as the culprit without verifying their data?

There are many other such examples. It is increasingly obvious you guys have some sort blood libel against those who do not tow your poltical line. I have no idea what the results of the investigation may show after today's terrible events, but I do know that if you keep falsely accusing the innocent you are going to pay a price for it, maybe even a self-fulfilling prophecy.
