Legal issues - where the case will be tried, motions the defense will make, very strange (and huge mistake - according to Dershowitz) of government to not read him his Miranda rights.

I haven't read into any analysis of this issue yet, but I agree that it is a mistake for the government not to read him Miranda rights. It seems like the "public safety exception" is only going to apply to his statements that involve public safety issues like the location of bombs that he may have placed. I feel like the government will be taking a risk by trying to get more information out of him without reading Miranda rights. The thing is the reading of Miranda rights is so commonplace and routine these days that few defendants even really consider the implications of the rights and will talk to authorities regardless. They should have at least read him the Miranda rights while he was disoriented from being bombarded with stun grenades. It would have at least given another potential legal argument for federal prosecutors if they end up facing a motion to suppress his post-arrest statements.
