It would be nice if there way an option to give them a lovely gift from poopsenders.com instead.
Exactly. Just a little insight into almost every politician though. Living off the public dole just seems to be expected by most of them. You gotta be dry-humping me. What a shameless POS.:X Terrible.Scott Walker is getting in on this too
Ay, que lastima.A friend's kid set one up to help him study in Spain this summer....Target goal=$4000, amount donated= $250 in 3 months.
Maybe this is why i have not seen this yet. I am sure it is only a matter of time.go fund me has been pretty decent IME.
sounds like you people need better social media friends.

Also the sports teams. I don't ask you to fund my family ski trip so I'd appreciate you not asking me to fund your travel softball team. Total bull####.A couple of years ago it came out that a family members child has a very painful disease and the treatments for her were extremely pricey. Her immediate family held a fund raising event that many local Philly companies supported. All the sports teams sent memorabilia, the local radio stations offered sit in's on their different shows, etc. Quite a bit of money was raised and they were able to really help the young lady. Fast forward to this summer and the family is asking for $ once again on Facebook via a GoFundMe page. Normally I would be fine with this but the family just bought a freaking new vet and a mobile home. So yeah... FU and your begging for money.
That leads me to last night. Wife says to me he did you see Kacy's facebook post about sending her daughter to Ital (This is a totally different family) via a GoFundMe page? Ummm no I didnt. Didn't they just have a huge 2 week European vacation this summer? Yes they did, but now the daughter wants to go back and study over in Italy and they are asking for money.
So I check Facebook this am and the mothers post was this "Well things are looking meek. We have only raised a couple hundred dollars, but I still have faith in all of you."
So is it now common place for well off families to beg for handouts on facebook etc? This #### drives me nuts.
Yeah really. Gotta actually admire these people for taking $ from stupid people.Apple Jack said:man, that's a lot of rage. and pettiness. you dont have to contribute.

Things looking pretty sour at the moment, I need like $60,000 but all I got saved so far is $150. Little help FFA?

Wait, what?urbanhack said:There's a woman here in Chicago who runs a wellness center based around raw veganism. I went through her detox program
Or when you see a homeless person with a sign saying former vet, please help. That's why in this case I'll buy a lunch for the person rather than give money which may very well be used for something other than food. These types of people are disgusting. There's some good people out there that have been dealt a really tough hand in life and could use some help. You read about these leeches and it starts to make you second guess who's telling the truth and who is full of crap. Just like the social programs that the government has in place that get brought into question because of the parasites that undeservedly feed off the system.

Vegan go fund mes are the worst of the worsturbanhack said:There's a woman here in Chicago who runs a wellness center based around raw veganism. I went through her detox program years ago and I appreciate what she does and the concepts. However, she charges a fortune for her products and services. She married some sugar daddy to build her this place and it burned down a year or two ago. She's loaded and drives a Bentley. She just started a kickstarter or gofundme to open the business back up. #### that ####.
Who's the bigger fool; the fool or the person who follows him?don't do FB so haven't noticed this, but holy #### are people d-bags if they are using these to send their kids on trips, etc.
Who is worse, the ones who start the pay for my kid to travel fund or the morons who actually donate to it? I actually think the ones who donate to those type of causes are more in the wrong. Getting $0 donated would be the best way to slap these people awake.
awesomeMy buddy's wife created one to raise money for her divorce. As best I can tell, she didn't raise any money despite her one sided and inaccurate story about the wrongs done to her. I can't say for sure since the page has been taken down lol.
Throw a bunch of change at their feet when you first see them. That'll get the message across.Wife and I had a slight disagreement about this last night. She asked how much we wanted to donate to the daughters trip. Obviously I said F'ing nothing. "But, they will know we didn't donate." So what? That doesn't make us bad friends, it makes them bad friends for even trying to guilt money from their friends and loved ones.
I will be seeing them this weekend. I hope the whiskey doesn't kick in.
The husband owes me several hundred which I was told I would get this weekend. Hope he didnt have to start a separate GoFundMe page for that.Throw a bunch of change at their feet when you first see them. FYI, I'm up close to 6K between Yahoo and Starsdraft, and down 1K on Fanduel. Its just harder to win there. Maybe you should switch sites?
My kids would have to be on the verge of starving before I would even think about asking my parents for a loan and I would be mortified. I really don't understand this mindset.Buddy Ball 2K3 said:Whatever happened to being embarrassed to even ask for a loan of a few bucks? Am I justified in thinking much less of these people now?
I never get these. I guess I feel left out of the outrage I could be expressing here. Can't believe this is seriously a thing. It's not, thankfully, among our FB friends. Aren't people embarrassed to do this?
I know more than a couple people that his happened to - adopt a kid and then get pregnant, decide to get in vitro and get pregnant right before things start up, etc.2. Close friends (husband and wife) wanted to have kids. 5 years of trying, doc told them they couldn't have kids. They wanted to adopt and needed help with the upfront fees - $250. (They started the process, then surprise! got pregnant on their own, decided not to adopt, asked each donor if they wanted their money back, most of us said 'No, there's your baby shower gift')
Too bad you aren't Iranian. Over there the groom's parents pay for everything. With (4) daughters, I should start a GoFundMe for weddings..
so basically you're saying exactly what everyone else is saying.Apple Jack said:Never have, never would. But as I said, it has its uses. What are they raising money for for the boat kids? Scholarships? We had a younger cousin fire up one of these for basically a trip to San Fran, never been so offended, wanted to drive up to Tampa and choke her myself.
Rich folks lost a couple 13 year olds letting them take a boat out from Jupiter, FL to the Bahamas, should have been arrested for child neglect, instead they are raising money with the help of Joe Namath, I #### you not.
I have found a lot of the go fund me sites to be very selfish and self centered in their roots. Some are good but many are just an excuse to grab some other's coin.
Is it possible that it was someone else trying to make him look bad or shine light in his career choice? I have a hard time with that otherwise. Great troll for whoever did it though.I've donated to a bunch of these --mostly friends or friends/family of friends who are in serious need. The mom or dad has cancer, or had a fire, or some other devastating event. And maybe I'm a softie, but I contribute to all of them.
Aaaaand then there was the dude I graduated high school with. He was one of the few from my class who wasn't on FB. All of a sudden one day we all get a friend request from him. And then within about a week, there's a Gofundme set up so he can raise enough money to fly to Florida so he can continue his adult film career. No joke. He lost SEVERAL facebook friends that day.
