They list #22 Chevis Jackson as NB(meaning?) where the MLB should be. Doesn't anyone know who started there? Lofton seemed an early substitution.

Who was the staring MLB? Did anyone watch this game?

I assume that NB = nickel back so they probably opened up with the nickel package, meaning that MLB Lofton was on the bench.

Any thoughts on if Lofton will start to see nickle snaps next season?

I know its early and the Falcons aren't going to be looking too far ahead considering they are in a playoff race right now, but I'd like to know if this is expected to happen eventually or if he's doomed to a 2-down role for the foreseeable future.

It's pretty hard to say. There's no guarantee that Brooking will return next year (though he is under contract) and Boley is an UFA as well. The kicker is Stephen Nicholas, who the Falcons feel highly enough about to play with Brooking and Boley when they play a 3-3-5 nickel look. You'd have to think the Lofton assumes a larger role next season, but there remains more than a slim chance that he may not.I'm with Aaron, BTW, NB is a common designation for nickel back and it was fully expected that Lofton would see less than 50% of the snaps yesterday against the Saints.
