Maybe he is really a she.Over/Under on this guys age is 14 which would explain why he didn't show up and hasn't talked to her on the phone.
Really!! She never met this guy before (or even spoke to him) and it so happened she was to meet/pick him up at the airport an hour before our gathering. Under the circumstance (all explained already) we did not want this nut job in our house, if the niece had know him personally already- no issues. It seems you don't trust your neice and if that is the case why is she allowed in your home?
You have an innate ability to yell minus caps. Kudos.Really!! Because she is young and made a desperate & terrible decision does not mean we do not trust her or question if she should be allowed in our home.
I asked earlier if your niece sent the guy money for the ticket, or any other money? Do you have that info?Really!! Some dude from Nicaragua walks in his kitchen. Young, muscular, and swag. Toothpick mid chew, turns it with his taath and says "Hey dere mannn."I asked earlier if your niece sent the guy money for the ticket, or any other money? Do you have that info?Really!! Both were going to make a ridiculous decision and could be considered a nut job for this but I already know my niece and she is only a harm to herself for this. This guy is a total unknown stranger to the niece and us, maybe not a total nut job but certainly not somebody I want in my home with my family. What makes this guy any more of a nut job than your niece?

I doubt you want a total stranger in your home, to me this is worse than just a total stranger. A total stranger has a clean slate and very well could be fine but this guy under the original scenario was going to move cross country to be with someone he has not met or spoken to so IMO this was reg flag worthy and really worse than a stranger we knew nothing about.
Not that I'm aware of, my brother did not even know about the situation until a week ago so I really don't know a whole lot about it and now that it is over before it even began here I doubt we will hear much more about it..I asked earlier if your niece sent the guy money for the ticket, or any other money? Would your niece be opposed if you just tied him up in the yard until it's all over, then if she kept him on a leash and you carried a huge can of mace, no???Not that I'm aware of, my brother did not even know about the situation until a week ago so I really don't know a whole lot about it and now that it is over before it even began here I doubt we will hear much more about it..I asked earlier if your niece sent the guy money for the ticket, or any other money? There is no update. He was not going to be at our house regardless and he never showed up so it is game over. I mainly wanted to see what the FBG opinion was to have him in the house or hell no/no way, looks like it is mixed. Also figured it was worth a FFA Friday topic, knowing there would be some of the usual FFA banter included but we all need to contribute to keep these crazy topics flowingupdate?
Yep, looking like it may be the case. There's this show on MTV. It's called Catfish. It may have some points for the niece to take heed of.
I don't think this guy would just give you a free feel.So what happened? I would think you would want to meet this guy to get a feel for the safety of your niece.
I'm not so sure about that. She did meet him on Craigslist. He may like a good feel.I don't think this guy would just give you a free feel.So what happened? I would think you would want to meet this guy to get a feel for the safety of your niece.
Inviting him is strange, him saying yes is stranger still.really strange. It's weird that she would want to bring him to a family event the first meeting IRL.
Is it possible to add another quote underneath your name? If you do that to bother me consider yourself successful.Inviting him is strange, him saying yes is stranger still.really strange. It's weird that she would want to bring him to a family event the first meeting IRL.
T Bell said:I think they were trying to keep an open mind about leatherface462.I'm surprised they let him in if he was carrying an axe.In 2009 we had a quadruple ax murder here that made national headlines. The teenage daughter invited a guy she met on the internet over. THAT's the worst that could happen.
It should have been a clue.

Yeah I agree with any sentiment that if two people meet online and there isn't either a real phone conversation or video chat within a few days then someone is lying.dmac37 said:Yep, looking like it may be the case.rail said:There's this show on MTV.
