I really like Hilton for $6400. He had a monster year last year, was targeted 11 times last week, and is facing a Philly secondary that looks to be not so great.

I also like the Stack of Luck/Hilton to try to hit big in GPP.

I also took a chance on Peyton in a Gpp, because I think it has the small possiblity of being one of those monster Manning weeks...and I put the rest with value guys like Forsett and Hilton and Hunter, etc...

I'm afraid of going with West, after looking at the play by play of last weeks game...I think he could strike out for a lot of people.

I thought west looked pretty good. And it was promising that Cleveland kept with the run game even down 20 points in the second half. He didn't do anything to jump out be he did what he was suppose to do. he was a draft pick that I think they will give a chance to prove himself before they just throw crowell out there

I am only running one $5 this week. I feel like the lineup is pretty solid

QB - Ryan
RB - Lynch, Moreno

WR - Edelman, Cooks, Sanders
TE - Bennett

K - Graham
DEF - Lions

Anyone else noticing Foles, Ertz and Michael Floyd under 10% alot? I didn't play many matchups tonight so my sample may be way off.

seeing a lot of point chasing in h2h hurns, cooks, minn def, also lots of jthomas, calvin, stafford but those are always decent plays

Like that they added Dodds blog to the inseason page. Lot of quality info

Also looking forward to Lee incorporating the Vegas lines into his "Tips and Picks"

Just did this lineup on DK and had $200 left...Peyton is $400 more than luck, switch things around?

Anyone liking dmc this week if mjd don't play? Between helu and Morris they were averaging 7 ypc before there idiot coach abandoned the run vs the Texans

"Multiple sources" tell CSN Bay Area that Maurice Jones-Drew (hand surgery) will miss Week 2.

I was thinking about throwing him in a couple GPP's

Tate is somewhat risky against a solid Carolina defense; he is cheap enough, but he wouldn't be on my rosters simply because I could see him not reaching value in a defensive struggle.

Kelce is not a good cash game play (IMO). Who knows what Andy Reid was thinking last week when he limited Jamaal Charles' touches, but Kelce only played 19/58 plays last week, which is not good enough for anything beyond a GPP play (until he learns how to pass block). As long as Fasano is playing 53/58 plays, I can't recommend playing Kelce.

I hope to have it online by tonight...but it will be in the "Daily" section of Week #2 content.

After this week, I'll try to get it online on Tuesday to help you guys with early decisions.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate all the effort you guys put into helping us newbies out.

I regret not going full fade on last nights game. Stupid me for thinking Torrey Smith was worth it at that low price. Won't make that mistake again. At least I only used him twice (out of 12 teams)

If only Forsett could have had those couple extra inches on that long run and got the TD. :sadbanana:

I guess I should have went with West instead for my cheap RB.

I like Hunter to break out this week against the hapless Cowboys D.

P.Manning will either focus on E.Sanders or D.Thomas. When he treats 1 player to 3 TD's (J.Thomas) he usually rewards another receiver the following week.

It looks like there may be a nice value in joining the Thursday night games and not having any players in the game. I had two lineups go last night, one with zero players in the game and one with Flacco (which I'm happy with). Flacco was a cheap 15 points this week. The Flacco team is in a 100 player 50/50 and the Flacco ownership was 2%.

I've posted my strategy for week 2. I think there are a ton of good match-ups this week. I'll post my full lineups on Sunday morning. :)

Kept up with the trend all year last year and this one will follow suit imo. If you're going to start someone on a Thursday night game, RB only imo.

I'm amazed at the number of questionable or even doubtful players I see rostered in Thursday games. I love it.

I've noticed heavy usage of Th night players in the 50/50 and GPP at the $1/$2 levels, but not much usage in the h2h at that level.

I played one Th GPP this week and its $2. Assuming everyone with 0 pts started noone in the game, right at 50% of the field started at least one player. I'd guess 10-15% started 3 or more as well and pretty much take themself out of the contest as they most likely want to have skin in the game.

I'm thinking of playing more 50/50 and GPP on Th night contests and more H2H on Sunday contests..

H2H and 50/50 or GPP. I was thinking later in the year if a stud is questionable you could start him in a Th GPP and fewer people would have him. High risk, but potentially high reward. Not every line up but maybe a couple.

Exactly my thoughts. Put in Thursday lineups, and avoid most, if not all of the players in the Thursday game. Exceptions would obviously need to be made when/if the 2 teams playing are both offensive juggernauts with bad defenses.

I found a 6 player league with all guys with less than 20 wins. 3 teams starting players that won't even play. Hopefully that offsets my having Torrey Smith in that league.

I don't look at many rosters in larger leagues... to tedious. Just a few to see who is highly held.

Yeah, I did the $1 GPP Thursday one. Half of the field had points Thursday night. Since really only Ravens D and kicker and TE2 were excellent starts, and Flacco was the lone "good" start... I'd say the winners will likely come from the 50% with no points thus far.

Dwayne Allen @ 4,800 against an Eagles D that can't cover LB's & can't generate a pass rush looks good to me
Allen may end up being my favorite value tight end in GPP's this week. Not necessarily ready to roll him out in H2H/50-50's yet with his target numbers being uncertain.

That's what I'm thinking in mine as well. Odds go from around 17.5% finishing in the money to 35%. Will be interesting to see what happens. I think ATL plays at home next week on Th night so I would anticipate a lot of Matt Ryan/Jones/White rostering. Th night tournaments may be a good fade next week.

I faded the game last night entirely on FD, but somewhat stupidly went with Bell in a DKs triple up. I liked his PPR value... ended up with 15.7 points (on 7300 DK salary). Won't be a killer, but isn't really ideal. Scoring is so much higher on DKs with the full PPR and with the bonuses at 100/300 yardage bonuses. He did have a hundred total yards, but you don't get the bonus for that.

But man, does Laveon Bell look dynamic. He is anything but the plodder he was cast as out of MSU.

This week got away from me bit, so I'll have focus on Sunday games, but I did enter a few H2Hs with the following lineups. I think Kaep has a big week vs an average (at best) Bears D, likely in a bit of a shootout with a solid offense.

Kaep

Gio

Greene

Julio

Jordy

Hawkins

Graham

Gould

Packers

DraftKings GPPs I stacked Fitz with Andre Johnson..minor ankle, but worth the risk on DKings where I can swap if needed. Hope and a prayer, but it's GPP and Fitz was cheap vs OAK.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick 13.2

RB Giovani Bernard 17.0

RB Terrance West 13.0

WR Michael Floyd 20.1

WR Andre Johnson 15.3

WR Robert Woods 11.8

TE Jimmy Graham 16.2

FLEX Adrian Peterson 11.3

DST Texans 24.0

Ive seen many places that about 2 points per $1000 is what you need to score in cash games on Fanduel but on DK for week 1 in games I played it was closer to 2.5 per 1000. I was down on Bell after last year but he really looks like a different player this year.

I completely faded last nights game in all 3 of my Thursday-Sunday leagues I got in. Seems like a lot of people had at least 1 Thursday night player to have a dog in the fight type situation, Some of the top guys has only 1 player left for the week......Thanks for donating.

A couple lineups I'm liking this week:

Foles

Shady

Foster

Hunter

Tate

Wayne

Graham

Santos

Packers

Dalton

Foster

Greene

DThomas

Julio

Floyd

Ertz

Parkey

Packers

Might have to redo rosters with several suspensions just lifted and Peterson deactivated
The other Vikings RBs don't interest me much although clearly cheap but Patterson becomes at least a GPP consideration. Welker returning could be a hit to Sanders if someone was playing him. On second thought I may put Asiata in intead on Greene in some of my lineups. The matchup looks pretty good and he should get the majority of the carries. Wont play him a ton but his price is very good.

Switched Peterson for Charles in Draftkings. Didn't have him in fanduel, so could be a decent advantage over 10-15% of the thursday teams.

Anybody playing Asiata? I think he's like 4500 on fanduel. Switched a couple teams over to him and it really added studs to my WRs

Any preference here?

$5 459 entry double up

vs

$5 4545 entry double up

I assume overlay on Fanduel is nearly impossible, so does it just come down to where there are more idiots? I suppose there are also $5 100 or 20 entry 50/50's where the juice is in the payout, not the entrants.

This is a pretty sick looking 1pm only I think:

QB Andy Dalton
CIN v ATL
RB Shane Vereen
NE @ MIN
RB Matt Asiata
MIN v NE
WR A.J. Green
CIN v ATL
WR Calvin Johnson
DET @ CAR
WR Julio Jones
ATL @ CIN
TE Delanie Walker
TEN v DAL
K Shayne Graham
NO @ CLE
D New England Patriots
NE @ MIN
