I'm thinking I may stay away from the Cowboy starters .. The only chance they have of getting a bye is The Seahawks losing @ home vs. the Rams..

Granted the Seahawk game is scheduled after the Cowboys game... but with the idea of having to play right away next week vs. either the Packers or the Lions I could see them resting the starters in the 2nd half, espe :shrug:cially since the game is in Washington..
Seattle losing at home to the Rams is not a stretch. I can't see Dallas rolling over in the early game, especially knowing they are either off for Wild-card weekend, or hosting a game and not traveling.
Dallas winning only helps them if DET and GB tie later on in the day. The result of their game vs. Washington is irrelevant in relation to the Seattle and Arizona games.
That is 100% incorrect.

A Dallas win coupled with an Arizona loss (probable @ SF) and a Seattle loss (possibile vs STL) gives them the 1st round bye.

I doubt they rest any starters with that prize at stake.
A Dallas loss coupled with an Arizona loss and Seattle loss also gives them a bye. How many times does this have to be addressed? The only way a Dallas win helps is with a tie in the Green Bay Detriot game. If Arizona and Seattle lose the Cowboys get a bye whether or not they win or lose their game.
This is 100% correct.

For those of you who are trying to determine which teams have incentive to play/win this weekend, I've summarized all 32 teams in my Wednesday edition of Tips & Picks [Acting as the tiebreaker in this thread, Dallas has zero incentive to win this weekend].

Relatedly, I've put together a list of players who could be extra motivated to hit individual milestones for the season in the same article.

Great article. Did you break down the rest of the fantasy positions?

I had a couple of great weeks in a row, but have been in a slump the past 3 weeks

Working on them tonight and tomorrow...with the holiday and playoff scenarios, information is trickling in a bit late this week. For that reason, look for all positional analysis tomorrow evening.

Best of luck to all FBG's this weekend.

Not really digging the TE options given in On The Daily and the Interactives. Fleener seems like an odd call, especially with others at his price point, maybe I'm missing something here (besides Allen being out). Kelce might be fine, but I'm not going to play him with Chase in a cash lineup. I guess Graham is as cheap as ever but something doesn't feel right.

Right now I'm building with a mix of Walker, Clay, and Olsen for cash games.

What are you guys doing with Graham?

I'm the TE anti-whisperer, but FWIW I'm avoiding all the Saints. That team is a train wreck IMO. I might run Graham out in a GPP play or 2, but my cash games will not include him. Kelce is as expensive as I'm willing to go.

I'm having a hard time not using Leveon almost everywhere in my cash games. Really gruesome looking collection of players at RB2, WR2, and WR3 when I try to put Ryan, Leveon, and ODB in the same lineup.

I like Heath Miller in cash games. High floor and the Bengals have pretty good CBs so maybe Ben will pass more to the TE. Decent redzone looks for Miller his whole career.

I'm still playing Kelce with Daniels, he might end up throwing downfield more than Smith anyways.

Other options I like for cash games are Olsen and Walker (solid matchup against TEs, Indy with little incentive too) and will probably roll a bit on Bennett with Cutler back.

Loving Freeman and Amandola values this week...
I've toyed with both Freeman and Rodgers and can't get comfortable with either one. On DK, I could see Quizz given PPR. Otherwise, I don't think I can pull the trigger on FD.

Anyone considering PRich with Kearse out for Seattle? He's been coming on late and the price is right at 4900.

Supervalues: Amendola, PRich, Quiz, Freeman, Daniels. You can basically stack Laveon, ODB, Nelson, and/or Brown around that anyway you want.

I win every 50/50 I play. What's next step up in competition?
Post your lineups here so I can tail. Thanks
No joke. If you're 100% on 50/50, the next step up is bet more on 50/50.
with the caveat that you just enter more contests and not up the amount of money per contest. generally speaking the higher the entry fee the better the competition. so it could hurt your hit record.

I normally buy into the notion that a TE will be a backup QBs best friend. With Daniel though, if he has a crap game that probably means Kelce does too. At this point I'd rather pair another TE in my Daniel cash game lineups and play them together in gpp.

Yeah, I mean he's just as likely to target Kelce two times as he is 13 times. You just don't know.

How heavy is everyone going this weekend. I was originally going to go pretty light, but I have a couple lineups that I think are looking pretty good. Of course I thought that last week too after having doubts and I got blown out.

I have been doing about 450-550 the past few weeks and will drop it back to about 350 mainly bc there is no TNF game. Mostly the same for Sunday lineups.

No confidence bump on Daniel from Mr. Lee. Leaves me a little concerned.
I'm so unsure on Daniel myself. I have a lineup w/ him but it's largely a recycling of the top guys in my other lineups. I'm already worried about how invested I am in some of those guys. What are we thinking ODB's ownership #age will be in cash games? Ditto Foster and Leveon.

I think ODB and Bell will be very highly owned. Foster not as much but he's the RB perplexing me.

I'm still working on my full slate lineups, but here are the only players I'm using in 1pm Onlys. I think think I like these lineups more than I should. Any concerns?

Griffin, Bridgewater, Daniel

Asiata, Foster, Morris, Oliver

ODB, Alshon, Evans, AJohnson, SSmithSr, Amendola

Graham, Walker

Tucker, Graham, Walsh

Houston, Baltimore

This is somewhat similar to what I have at 1pm:

Daniels, Sanchez

Foster, Forsett

ODB, Andre, Charles J, Vjax

Fleener, Graham

Texans, Ravens

Where are people with Demaryiuus? Is he too risky assuming Denvwr gets up big and they choose to run/pull starters?

Ignore week 17 on this one and do whatever you would do any other time he hosted the Raiders. I think they play it as a must win but it depends how you view guys playing in likely blowouts in general.

I'm going to dabble in a few 20 and 100 team leagues this week. Never done them before. What's the general strategy in those? Seems like it should be almost a GPP approach, maybe GPP Light, but that's based on 0 experience.

I often take the 250 player leagues at 1 and 2 levels, they are almost completely full of FD noobs. Usually a good cash lineup can score.

20 player leagues have worse odds, so even better full of noobs.

Whoever just sent me the challenge - I ACCEPT!!! I will wipe the floor with your ### unless of course if my guys suck.

My strategy this week is bargain QB and RB, and stacking studs at WR on teams that have something to play for.

Some players I am on:

Teddy B: So is everyone else, but a great cash play. Only way he doesn't throw two TDs is if the Vikes keep getting tackled at the 1, leading to Asiata plunges. My scientific mind says Asiata had his monthly multiple TD game last week, so I am fading him.

Josh McCown: Stacking him with Evans in some tournaments. Low ownership percentages, I wold guess. Love the matchup with the Saints, who I could see quitting, and Tampa has not quit this year, at all.

Chase Daniel: These three QBs have all made it to tournaments for me. I love Reid's history with backup QBs getting thrown to the fire. I also like his history of throwing too much, and Charles is banged up. San Diego finds itself in the weird position of having to defend the Chiefs passing game further than 9 yards down the field.

RB:

Jonathan Stewart: Will be heavily owned, hopefully DeAngelo returning scares people off.

Justin Forsett: I think BAL leans on their defense and Forsett. Mildly concerned that in a blowout, they pull him.

Latavius Murray: I wouldn't be surprised to see Denver take the foot off the gas, and Latavius has a nice price, won't be heavily owned, and has a high ceiling.

Chris Ivory: Like him in cash games. Jets will run as much as possible, and Miami's rush D can be had.

WR:

Charles Johnson: Jennings maybe as well. Fading Chicago big time.

Eddie Royal: May have 10 targets today.

Julio Jones: Seems healthy to me.

Danny Amendola: Edelman banged up, Pats have nothing to play for, I could see him getting 9 targets in the 2nd half from Garappolo.

TE:

Antonio Gates: Not going near the high-priced TEs. No Keenan Allen. And I think SD has a short passing game planned with Houston coming off the edge.

Coby Fleener: Could be a compiler today, GPP play. Lot of banged up WRs.

Tim Wright: GPP play.
