I played Mettenberger in every single cash lineup. :wall:

and it's not like I'm surprised. I knew this would happen. I'm an idiot.

oof. I was really heavy on Forsett, Allen, Bell, Smith, Boswell, Eifert. Getting absolutely pummeled. I might lose every penny that I played this week.

Hang in there. The sheer volume of injuries rocked today. That's random. Then, you've

got people, who have no clue what a double up is, dumping their lineup with the entire Saints and or Giants passing game into said double up.

Make sure to manage your money

Trust your research

Trust your gut

And take a week off and find a Slump Buster ... Search Mark Grace Slump Buster if that isn't familiar

One of the more chaotic weeks I've seen. Given the low ownership on the SNF/MNF games, looks like cash line is going to be 104-106

I shouldnt be laughing, but the obvious frustration juxtaposed against the anthropomorphic smiling football that is your avatar is pretty funny.

I'm the opposite.

Rarely win on FD, win every week on DK

I used to play in all sorts of FF leagues and could adjust freely.

Now I look at FD and think they made an error til I click and remember it's not really PPR . I guess I'm getting old and stuck in my ways having played PPR too long

Also I have this way of "saving" all the bad players for Fanduel. I started Fitzpatrick, Bell, Allen and LaDarius..oh and Mett too in another contest there.

 
Hmm. I tried some Sunday only games for the first time. Barring extremely bad luck, I'm going to cash in all of them. In the Sunday-Monday games, I'm not going to win anything unless Cam has a huge game and nobody else does anything. Might go heavier on Sunday only next week.

 
Looks like an awful week for me too. I'll be rooting for Newton and Olsen pretty strongly though because they can salvage some Thurs action and one lineup from today. About 18 contests in total, so could help the ugliness of today.

Of course I put up 160 and counting (with McManus) in the Dive. The guy that was winning it all day with Brees Cooks Snead Watson and ODB got passed by .5pts to an owner chasing with only McFadden.

I am the exact opposite. I put a small amount in each and have had 1 barely losing week in DK and have more than doubled $ overall, but haven't sniffed anything in FD. If Cam has a decent game, I will probably win a few cash games this week, but not nearly the hit % I have with DK. Maybe it is just that their scoring is so similar to leagues I am in or something.

What's the point of comparing him to the #1 back? I simply said that he seems like good value at a low price with a likely high scoring matchup against GB. News is that he's been running with the 1st team so he should be in line for even more touches this week. In fact, I think he's a great compliment to having Freeman as your high cost back.

Seems risky when you have really solid plays like Freeman, Gurley, and Forsett.

Freeman is $3k more expensive, Gurley $2k, and Forsett $800. I don't love Forsett and paring Hillman with Freeman or Gurley still leaves you flexibility to pursue quality elsewhere. I'm running Hillman out in a number of lineups so I'll learn one way or the other after Sunday.

This worked out very well for me. His volume of work at his price point was very attractive.

This might be the difference for us. I have always played Standard scoring in fantasy and never PPR in any league. I am sure that does make a difference.

Side note, I was also able to cash all my sunday only games this week. Not sure that really matters since the 1pm games were stacked and the later games didnt have the best matchups, but I did cash them.

Sad to see the reports of such bad weeks... I was fortunate to hit the trifecta of WRs with Jeffery, Diggs, Floyd that overcame my Dalton/Eifert stack and Le'Veon's injury.

Cashed 11/13 1PMs

Cashed 21/21 Sundays

Sunday-Monday TBD.

yea.. I should have stuck to my original feelings of "I can't get a feeling on this week" and stuck to just the FBG game..

Spent $19, and my only "win" will be FBG where I should double up. So yea, I'll win a $1. :bowtie:

If you think the ideal lineup is entirely 1pm players then enter it in full slate. Means you're playing against people who have rostered guys you don't like.

But that approach assumes 100% accuracy in your lineup. I THINK I have the optimum lineup every single time I hit "submit". Everyone does -- no one believes their lineup isn't the best choice. The problem is, we're basically always wrong. So the issue becomes about the percentages.

Just following up on this with data from 2 of the 3 slates... I entered my same 1PM-only lineup in all 3.

$2 DU for 1PM ONLY averaged a cash line at 120.53 (11 total contests)

$2 DU for Sunday ONLY averaged a cash line at 111.94 (9 total contests)

$5 50/50 1PM ONLY averaged a cash line at 116.90 (3 total contests)

$5 50/50 Sunday ONLY averaged a cash line at 113.55 (12 total contests)

So the bigger the contest, the greater the variance, the lower the score you must achieve. However, at one point yesterday I was pretty happy with Le'Veon's sky high ownership in 1PMs thinking maybe it didn't sink me into a total lost week.

 
I need to research more. The pit Cinci game. I should have left this game alone just on the fact big ben was just coming back and has a history of doing poor on his first return start from injury. I got on the dalton wagon this week, luckily in just one LU, but over 15 games. Division games are very difficult, playing on the road even harder.

I knew I should have faded the entire Jets team, but silly me I didnt, I took ivory, marshall, and decker in multiple LU's. They were flying to the west coast, this should have been a major flag for me but again, I got sucked into the hype.

The ravens..Well, I have just written them off. No idea what their OC was thinking. Lets go pass happy against the worst rush Defense. For SD, they came out heavy on Gordon???? Woodhead had no role in this game.

Atl/TB..Doug martin did nothing. The falcons the previous games had freeman as a main target coming out of the backfield for catches. This game, they didnt start that till the 4th quarter.. Why? Jones was taking the top off the field leaving the under pass open..

I have more, but need to relax. I wont build a LU unil next Sat night and then finalize sunday morning..

 
Good news is the chalk is back next week! An easy Thursday night fade game! Vegas thinks NE will score 33 points! Great chalk RB matchups!

 
I had Brees/Watson in one of my tourney lineups, then pulled them at the last minute for Dalton/Eifert. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. shoot me.

I was fortunate enough to stack Manning/Beckham in 7 lineups. It saved me from complete ruin this week. Just went too heavy on LeVeon, Forsett, Keenan and Evans.

Lost pretty much what I made last week. Still have a lot of Newton/Olsen/Ginn going tonight. I don't think it will make much difference though.

 
Went to the Mettenburger well again... and it cost me. Good lord is he terrible. I loved getting Bell, Gurley, and Julio in one lineup though. I could salvage some from that lineup if Moncrief does well tonight. Hoping TY gets Norman'd. Hit a couple huge tourneys though including my biggest win ever (1pt away from $5k) so looking at a decent weekend.

Bell in 90% of my lineups :thumbup:

It's not entirely Mettenberger's fault. The coaching staff isn't doing anything to help him. Talking heads around Nashville have been absolutely brutal in their attacks on Whisenhunt. He's getting his QBs killed. I don't know how Mettenberger could walk off the field under his own power this week.

 
Why did I play Cam in half my 50/50 lineups? Terrible game so far.

Also, LOL at Ginn just watching the INT happen and then making the tackle.

Given the carnage of injuries to my cash rosters, I'm thrilled to be up this week -- +40%, plus edged into the money with my 1 remaining survivor entry. From the sounds of things lots of guys took it on the chin this week. Hopefully things improve next week for everyone.

I could have gotten bailed out of quite a bit with that Ginn catch too. UGH.

Had enough shares of Cam/Olsen/Gano that I did better tonight than I expected. Still a losing week. Just a minimal loss.

My cash lineups just got trashed though with Newton/Bell as centerpieces.

GPPs saved me.

 
Woo cam & olsen won it for me.. what a good start to the day. won all 50/50 and closest one was by .5
