So Cal and Nevada are great places for this mischief. My 120 mph Camaro ride was near Glamis and US 50 across NV is a great stretch of road for ridiculous speeding, had my F-150 up to around 110 out there.Got my Eagle Talon over 110 in college stupidly trying to impress a girl. Blew the engine out doing it and we had to be towed.
I've driven around 100 for few mile stretches in my Jetta on either highway 10 or 40 in the area between Blythe/Needles/Barstow.
Buy. Leasing is for suckers. Are you looking to lease or buy?TheIronSheik said:What's the fastest anyone has gone in a Crossover? I'm asking because I'm thinking about getting one for my next car. I love their styling.
Yea if I'm driving, its fine but as a passenger, I get terrified because I'm not in control.105 ish as driver, 130 as a passenger. That was way way too fast.
Not surprisingly, these are girl cars and excellent for transporting Yorkies.Got my Eagle Talon over 110 in college stupidly trying to impress a girl. Blew the engine out doing it and we had to be towed.

My first car was a '95 Integra and maxed it out at 123 one night on the freeway. I think I was even going down a slight incline and it wouldn't go any faster.125 or so in a stock Integra. I was 19 and foolish
Concerned? In the car I've never been worried for safety due to my own speed, but I don't want a ticket - so 15 over is usual my limit now, often it's 5-10 over.In a car when I start to feel lift in the front end. On a motorcycle pretty much when I start thinking if "I hit a rock at this speed...". This is assuming dry weather and open road.At what speed to you start to get concerned? It depends on the car, but assume it's a good freeway car... 95 in a BMW or Audi feels very comfortable. For me, 110 is where I start worrying. I've done 120 for a few moments once or twice. Long, flat stretch of I-8 in the desert.
I'm not a thrillseeker type at all. Problem with heights, when I mountain bike I don't like the downhills, don't ski or ride a motorcycle.
Don't care. The Talon was a POS, but I love my VW.Not surprisingly, these are girl cars and excellent for transporting Yorkies.Got my Eagle Talon over 110 in college stupidly trying to impress a girl. Blew the engine out doing it and we had to be towed.

I'm 1/2 Thai, and my now-wife/then-girlfriend and I were over visiting my family in Bangkok. My cousin's family is very wealthy, and his Dad collects cars. They had several BMW's, Mercedez, Porsche, and a few other supercars...I think he had a Ferrari at one point. My cousin typically drove an M3 BMW, but his Dad had just gotten a Japan Spec GTR...He let my cousin take it out when we went to a rooftop club in downtown Bangkok. On the way back from the club, my cousin went down some relatively open (no traffic) but narrow road in town and just slammed the gas. I nearly #### myself. I don't know how fast we actually got up to, but we only had about 1/2 a mile to get to speed and back. It FELT like we were going 130 MPH or so IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN. I was sure some kid was going to wander out from between the parked cars and we were going to splatter him.NIssan GTR was stupid fast.
They don't call it Godzila for nothing...I'll say with great certainty that the GTR had the scariest acceleration of any car I've ever been in.
