Favre comments to lions... (1 Viewer)

Was it ok for Favre to give tips to the Lions about the Packers?

  • Non-story, what he did was perfectly fine

  • While it did not help the Lions, it was still not right for Favre to comment on the Packers.

What does he still owe the Packers that he can't have a theoretical discussion about what their gameplan MIGHT entail? When casual conversation is outlawed, only outlaws will engage in casual conversation.
How about respect to his former teammates and fans?Again...I have had no problem in that the info did nothing...just that it looks bad on Favre.Casual conversation? I would not call discussing anything his former team did to just be casual conversation.
It's a theoretical discussion. How is that disrespectful? If you're disrespected by a former player discussing his former team with anybody, I think you're being a touch too sensitive and defensive, and that definitely showed in the Packer players and Coach's reactions.
You have a guy who claims to love his old teammates and wish them well. Yet months after leaving the team he is discussing things that may help another team beat them? How is that not disrespectful to those who were loyal to the guy?

LOL at Ookie thinking it was all just me in the other thread only to see the results of this poll.and then posting 2 articles that do nothing to address the issue that I have discussed...that while the call did nothing to help, it just looks bad for Favre to even discuss the Packers at all...
ShoNuff....weren't you the same one in the Favre threads over the GB drama all summer, and you didn't like Favre then.....did he lose a Fantasy Championship for you team?On another note....one has to wonder who leaked this to the press....signs point to Favre's so called friend Matt. Then one has to wonder why he would leak this to the press if he is friends with Favre, not a very good friend at that knowing it would be news just because its Favre. Maybe Favre fed him so bad info and he is ticked about that.

Favre has actually won me championships twice before.I liked Favre just fine then. Thought he would be make the Packers better this year...but that did not mean I liked his actions or thought that the team was wrong for going with Rodgers. I said over and over the GM has to think about more than just this year...and that Favre's actions led to some of what happened. Neither side was totally at fault, neither side was totally innocent. And agreed...I have no idea who leaked it...people claim the Packers...but how the heck did they get the info. And yes, its bigger because its Favre rather than some backup Olineman. Maybe that is it though...he gave them crap and Rodgers killed them in the first half so Millen was pissed.I guess the hunting is off. :lmao:
