Also, FYI, my post on page 20 of the other league thread that led to the creation of this one... Note the Promotion-Relegation idea between the two leagues next year!...

Idea for @Joe Bryant (and the rest of the Shark Pool)... Start another one of these SP home leagues this coming week. I think you will pretty quickly get 12 FBGs if you post a new thread tomorrow, referencing this one.

Then next year, let's have a promotion-relegation system. Top 6 in each league advance to the top league next year and bottom six move the the 2nd league. There would be quirks with people not returning but we can figure those out next year.

Huge potential with these Shark Pool home leagues!... So many here for not years but decades have presented themselves as fantasy gurus. Here's a chance to compete with one another to prove who's who and what's what!

SharkPool Home League #1 was a total blast with a bunch of posters I’ve “known” for 2 decades. Highly recommend.

Only downside? Too many Raiders fans in the league.

LawFitz's idea of treating these two leagues, and hopefully more in the future, as a UK Football style of advancement and relegation going forward sounds like a great opportunity to add a very new, interesting and fun element to the game of magic football that we all love.

I think that would go a long way in drumming up interest as those on the fence see the league filling.

I think this one might be tough to do a slow draft for. Even once it does fill, it likely does not start until Tuesday or even Wednesday, which is when it becomes 1 minute per pick.

It's the 11th hour, set up a queue, turn on auto-draft (or just use the default Sleeper list) and let the chips fall where they may. Considering more than one team will likely be in the same position it should spur a lot of trade talk, which is also a lot of fun.

Next year they get to start earlier.

Looks like they have at least 5 'IN' already.

Sure wish I could participate, but I'm getting it on two fronts - my other half, and my National Contest Partner. Outside of the National Contest entries, I'm only allowed to particpate in my 30+ year local, in terms of playing for money, and outside of that, only Draft&Go/Best Ball formats that require zero in-season League management activity. Fortunately, that allows me to participate in the annual FBG's Subscriber Contest.

I got special dispensation for Scott Fish Bowl, and Footballguys Bowl, only because they are free Leagues, but I've been sternly warned about spending too much time on either of them.

kinda feeling that as well. been sitting 5/12 for a while. if it does go feels like it might have to be a fast draft in the next day or two

That's perhaps too much to ask of @fbghomeleagues, so maybe next year, we have someone more available on the forum start and manage the recruitment thread OP.

That said, it isn't too late for this league. @fbghomeleagues, can you tell us how many spots currently remain? If 6 or less, there's still time to rally the forum IMO.

Yeah, I think now that these “private” leagues are worked out and avaiable, we’ll have a bunch of interest before next season to hopefully get at least 2 of these SharkPool Home Leagues off the ground.

Sorry I usually don't swim in the pool over weekends, just saw it this AM. Hopefully 6 others like me are weekday board warriors and we can fill this league out.

Just for potential future discussion on draft time I'm in PA, EST and I can do pretty much anytime from 7am-10pm EST for a draft. If I'm at work, I'll just hide in the bathroom for a while

That works for me, I have dinner plans that night; but I can have the wife drive and draft from my phone if we aren't home by then. She's getting a new car soon, so we'll just up the trim model to keep her happy haha.
