I've recently come to the realization that outside of the various team specific sites I frequent, I have four five primary destinations that feed my ravenous appetite for all things NFL:

Football Guys - this site trumps the rest of the list, as the best of what follows below inevitably makes its way to the MB, which is the single greatest resource for the hardcore football fan on the innerweb. Best fantasy analysis to boot, which is no minor plus.
Football Outsiders - their unique set of stats and overall analytical take on the game regularly opens my eyes to things I did not or could not see before.
Pro Football Talk - despite the flack they get for running with speculative pieces (which they clearly label), their access and takes are about as strong, clear-headed, and forward-thinking as any I've ever read.
The NEW NFL.com - the revamped flagship site of the league is fantastic, particularly the video library, which can easily ruin an entire work week.
Pro Football Reference - THE definitive database on NFL stats. The blog is crack for statheads.I know we've done these "best NFL web site" things before, but I just realized what a solid quinttet the above make, and thought I would be remiss to not pass it along, for those who don't yet know.

MODs, if this is the wrong forum for this, apologies.

ETA: PFR to the list.

Thank you. It's always good to stumble to new football related sites. I've never been on FO, but I'm hungry for NFL stats.

For me, these are the sites that I visit several times a day:

1. Profootballtalk.com- I've loved this site even going back the the Sportstalk.com days (I think thats what it was called back then before ESPN bought them out).

2. Footballguys.com- Best fantasy football site out there.

3. PewterReport.com- By far the best site at covering the Bucs. If you are a Bucs fan, you should definately subscribe to Pewter Report.

4. TQStats.com- My fantasy football leagues website.

Horrendous. I finally had enough of the new site and removed it from favorites and replaced it with CBS.

Thanks for the very kind words...and I agree that Football Outsiders is second only to our own Doug Drinen's Pro-Football-Refernce as the place for football stats and related musings.

It was a complete oversight on my part to not include PFR in the OP. I was religiously reading their blog (where Chase and perhaps some others moonlight) pre-2006 season, and I need to start making my way back over there. Just need to update my daily del.icio.us tag. Thanks for the reminder, Wood.

fantasy.yahoo.com .... If you are looking for hard-hitting, up-to-date, ahead of the curve info this is the place to go. :hot:

Football Outsiders is nice to use when you need to decide between which WR to use. I like how it breaks down how team defenses do against #1 vs #2 WR.
