FDuel Week 11 (1 Viewer)

I'm rolling with Gio in all tourney GPP's and went with high priced backs in the 50/50's and HtH's. I used Fleener in GPPs and Gates in all others. Golden Tate found his way on my expert lineups and a few 60k that I spent a lot on QB and RBs.

Lacy was owned over 50% in all 11 of my leagues.

Reed over 35% in all but one.

Rivers and Newton looking like the two most used QB's by a fair margin.

I played some $ H2H's against mbomb, condia, the_coz, etc and see many of the pros in 50/50's i am in this week

These players seem to be in many of their lineups I have come across....

Rodgers/Rivers/Pryor

Lacy/Charles rb combo in most of them

Nelson/Allen/Moore/Bryant

Reed

Def- Titans in a few

Played in the 15K Thursday Rush #2 with this lineup (3301 Entries)

Drew Brees 6%

Giovani Bernard 15.5%

Eddie Lacy 46.6%

Dez Bryant 30.9%

Kennan Allen 23.3%

T.Y. Hilton 13.7%

Jordan Reed 28.2%

Sebastian Janikowski 5.1%

Kansas City Chiefs 10.2%

I was surprised Brees was only 6% owned, also great value with Bernard last night at $5,600 and only 15% owned was also surprising

Brees's price is pretty high right now. He's 1200 more than Romo who plays the Vikings and Newton who plays the Falcons, and 2400 more than Rivers who plays the Skins. It's hard to see him outscoring those three guys given their opponents and they are much cheaper. Could be wrong, but I'm guessing that's the mindset of most of the fanduel community. Bernard was striking gold last night ,given his number of carries lately. Good on you for that.

Personally not buying the hype on Lacy, I think he will be a mediocre play. Despite the injuries to the WR and TE GB is and always will be a pass first team. Their stats about red-zone play calling are deceiving at nearly 50-50 but so far this season they have 6 rushing TDs and 15 passing. Lacy's longest TD run is 2 yards, and he is usually converting them on 3rd down, meaning he is only getting the TD if they fail to pass it (to Kuhn often) or get it otherwise. A touchdown in the each of the last 2 is just looking nice to people.

Also James Starks is back, only got carries on 2 series last week and ran for 57 yards and a TD, Lacy got the ball on every drive but 1 (that would be 8 for those keeping score at home) and only got 94 yards and touchdown. Starks went for more than 10 3x on 7 carries, Lacy did it 2x on 29. He's barely the best runner on his own team now that looks for the pass first and only goes run in the redzone after 2 incompletions or on first down at the 20 yard line to keep defenses honest.

I previously posted about the numbers I run, and while they're screaming Lacy, I just can't go for him. If you want value on touches Le'Veon Bell and McFadden both have nice matchups for their skill sets and nothing in their depth charts and gameplans to steer you away.

I don't normally screen opponents or play in leagues, but I was bored earlier and using Steeler's awesome bookmarklet to look for some potentially easy pickings, just for the hell of it. I ended up joining a 20-person league, $25 to enter, top 6 win money. Here are the NFL win totals of the other 19 entrants:

I could be wrong but I thought you only got a "win" if you actually come in 1st place. And if so, win totals for leagues are kind of pointless. Can someone confirm or deny this?

Hmm, I guess I never thought of that. I just kind of assumed you got a win if you cashed (e.g. If I come in 25th place in a 50 person 50/50, I get credited with a win). Not sure if/why leagues would be handled differently. In any case, even if that's true, this is their total win count, not just wins in leagues, so I think it's fairly safe to assume that I'm up against some relatively inexperienced competition for the most part. Then again, I've got hundreds of wins but have only really been playing since week 2 or 3 so I guess I'm not all that experienced either.

DHB now showing up on the injury report as Q. I'll have Fleener on a good number of my teams.
Game-status designations (probable, questionable, doubtful) don't come out until after Friday's practice. DHB is currently listed on the injury report as "Limited Participation in Practice."

I have him in a few Thursday night lineups, so I hope he doesn't scratch.
DHB is officially questionable now.

Main lineup this week is

Cam

Charles

Lacy

Jordy

Keenan A.

D. Moore

J. Reed

Novak (Gano in a few)

KC

In the expert cap leagues main lineup is

McCown

Lacy

Stacy

Jordy

Garcon

Hilton or Allen

Gates

Vinatieri

Dallas or Tenn

Also so lineups with A. Brown for Garcon and Reed for Gates

I am eating it again at D this week. My most played is Sea and I am up against KC a lot. 21 points in the hole to start :(
:goodposting: I was debating between Seattle and KC all week and put Seattle in 90% of my lineups because I felt they had a better chance of pitching the shutout and KC had burned me the last couple weeks. Well, make that 3 weeks now.

got a chance to do some damage in a tourney this week. currently sitting at about 130 points with lacy, hilton, and nelson left. nobody had cooper or foles.

i've been killing it at defense but getting destroyed at kicker. novak (6) this week, houschka (2) last week, bailey (5) the week before

I was all about Pryor and Foles in my prework Thursday, but ended up playing alot more Pryor. Then I mixed in Romo and Rivers..maybe one other QB..to round out my lineups. Should still be OK...won't win or lose much this week.

Did hit 75% again on the 1pm matchups. I've got a nice run going in that regard. Made some last hour changes to get Stacy in a few lineups.

I did play Foles in a bunch of non-Fanduel freerolls but struck out for the most part with the pieces around him. Kinda sucks I didn't go back and work Stacy into those....only my Step tournys on DraftKings, which I sit in 1st and 2nd currently in, but only if I played Foles in those.....shoulda coulda week.

Primetime lineup in 2/3's of my games:

Rodgers
Peterson
Lacy
Jordy
Garcon
Heyward-Bey
Fleener
Bullock
Bears

Johnson wreaking havoc on my Primetime lineups.
H2H's that could be tough to overcome. 5050s he seems to be 10-20% owned, so it's not all that bad. I even saw a lineup with AJ that had Foster (6% in that league), so there will be those types trickled in as well.

I was doing great until this late game. I can still win a little cash but I need about 20 points out of Jordy and Lacy. For the record Dez Bryant is dead to me. If I had him in my dynasty league I would trade him for a bag oreos.

I got properly punished for avoiding Stacy and submitting most of my early games without Keenan Allen. Most of my lineups that I blasted off Saturday undid some of that damage, but I probably incinerated 60-70 bucks off those first mistakes. Worst-case depending on Lacy & Nelson I'm down 110 for the week. Best case I'm down only 50. Only had Hilton in a few line-ups though, so that giant performance hurt a lot more than it helped (thank god my early lineups had DHB, who dropped more balls than he has initials).

Likely winner of one tourney had Foles, Stacy, Riley, Allen, Graham and KC Def for over 200 points. :tebow: Only big game cheapo he missed out on was TY Hilton going off.

Last week was probably too fresh in my mind where studs dominated the landscape. This week you could've easily put together a points monster off almost entirely known value plays.

Had a good NFL weekend. Went from playing multiple lineups in 40-50 $5/$10 leagues to playing a single lineup in 3 $50/$109 leagues. Headed to bed at halftime of the Colts/Texans game, out of the $$$ in all 3 leagues. Woke up to Hilton going crazy in the 2nd half & getting into the top half in all of them.

This was nice, as I had started playing the NBA 50/50s & was getting destroyed after a good start on Tuesday. I think I'll go down to the $2 NBA games until I get a better handle on it.

NFL seems fairly easy to make a decent ROI...as there are so many newbs and average NFL fans throwing their money away...but NBA is brutal. Your lineup has to be perfect to cash in the top 10 percent of a tourny. It's pretty much all grinders playing nightly NBA. Even 285 doesnt win 50/50s all the time.

my 55k line up this week

  • QB Eli Manning$6,400OAK@NYG✗
  • RB DeMarco Murray$7,100DAL@NO✗
  • RB Shonn Greene$4,900JAC@TEN✗
  • WR Michael Floyd$5,800HOU@ARI✗
  • WR Dez Bryant$8,200DAL@NO✗
  • WR Lance Moore$4,900DAL@NO✗
  • TE Jason Witten$6,800DAL@NO✗
  • K Garrett Hartley$5,100DAL@NO✗
  • D Tennessee Titans$5,800JAC@TEN✗
alot of cowboys but i think it will be a shoot out

may swap out greene w/ andre brown i think he's back this week?

oof. :bag: for putting Nate Washington into a bunch of my lineups.

Even with him, I still scored just over 140 points in a 3 team $109 league :excited:

But, turns out, that was only 3rd place :(

I'm having a BAD week. I'm right on the line in 2 $109 50/50s tonight... if I manage to hang on I'll come out just ahead of even. If I don't, I'm down about $400 on the weekend. Oof.

Yeah, I'm finding that out. I started out 6-0 on Tuesday & had a little false confidence. Wednesday & Thursday I got killed (2-15). There are so many players, even when you hit on 2/3rds of your guys there are other players blowing up that will just kill you.

Live & learn I guess. But yeah, the pool of games is much smaller than with football & it does seem to be a much more educated group of players.

Not really sure how this week will turn out, as I still have Lacy and Nelson left to play in a majority of my entries, as well as Marshall in some, but it seems a lot of others also have players left to go tonight so I'm not sure how it will all shake out. It feels like it was a good week, but we'll see exactly where my balance is tomorrow morning.

My foray into cherrypicking leagues vs. "inexperienced" opponents probably isn't going to work out for me. Currently in 8th place in the 20-person league that pays the top 6, and I'm not optimistic about moving up tonight. May cash in the other one (6 team league that pays top 3). The problem is that I had 20+ different lineups I used this week, some of which would've easily landed me in the money in these leagues, but I picked the wrong ones. That's what I get for going outside my comfort zone, I guess. I still expect to make a decent profit this week but I'm kicking myself for blowing a little chunk of money on this experiment.

Can someone please answer me this?

How the hell is Zac Stacy 7500 but Eddie Lacy is still 6800. I understand they are both up and coming and have been playing well for a month.

I think this has to do alot with the way Fan Duel is set up. The pricing on players is so slow to reflect current market conditions that it makes it easy to field a super star lineup. Because of that almost all of your players need to hit. It's one of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of fanduel and find myself putting more and more of my action in at DraftStreet.

changed Dobson to Lance Moore on Sunday morning when I saw Colston was out. still could have won a really low-scoring 10-man league til Hilton blew up

My lineups featuring Garcon-Allen-Hilton are going pretty well...

Lineups with DMC and Mathews not so much.

Also seems like most TEs other than Gronk had down to average weeks, so Reed's 7 points or whatever isn't killing me.

Doing fairly well so far, but have a ton of players still to go tonight. McCown, Forte, Marshall, Jeffrey are going to need to bring it on home.

I still try to cherry pick, but I don't think it makes that much difference. I think it probably shows more of a league preference than anything. Your average player playing 50 $2 to $5 50/50 leagues is going to accumulate a whole bunch more wins than the guy playing 4-5 $50/$109 leagues.

I started losing focus playing 40-50 games each week, trying to create multiple lineups for diversity. I enjoyed it much more this week just playing a handful of the higher $$$ leagues.

They don't update the Sunday and Monday night players for the next week. Hilton is still at $6,000 as well. Going to be lots of Lacy/Hilton combos going next week

Nobody on GB has been updated for the last two weeks, which I think is a glitch in the matrix. Lacy should reasonably have seen a bump for his game against MIN, but the silly programmers at Fanduel didn't take into account teams playing back-to-back primetime games, it would appear.

Broncos will encounter the same thing in weeks 11-12.

Tight ends had huge weeks.

Graham had over 100 and 2 touchdowns

Witten had over 100 and a touchdown

Gonzo had 80 and a touchdown

Cook if anyone used him had a touchdown

Gate, Reed, and Cameron had average or worse days
