What are you guys doing with the Atlanta receiver's situation. I have Douglas in a lot of line-ups but I think I may pull him after some more thought.

Gonzales is the #1 target now, but I think Tampa may shut him down the way NE did at the end of their game when they just mugged him and refused to let him off the LOS. Granted they did this after he torched them with a career day.

Douglas is not a #1 WR. He's still a #3 type guy, and may get some receptions, but I don't see him getting the red zone looks.

They also have Cone, Davis, and Robiske. No telling who may emerge if any.

Is Boykin a better flier with Green Bay? I liked going with 2 cheap receivers, then loading up at RB.

Looking back at the 3rd quarter in the atl nyj game, when Julio was injured, it appears Ryan targeted Gonzo, J Rodgers and Toilolo. In the 4th when Julio came back and Gonzo was doubled the distribution evened across all other receivers including Harry, but Toilolo got the TD reception. I think Harry got 2 receptions for 6 yards on 4 targets while playing most of the game.

In the Gb Bal game, Boykin got 6 targets when playing mostly in the 2nd half. (and like 4/40 or so?)

Atl has had a bye week to game plan and may run less than GB, so the numbers might change a bit. All in all, a lucky TD grab would scew the numbers to either player, but it appears Boykin is getting more looks and has a healthy #1 to draw off coverage. I've stayed away from both in my H2H and 50/50, but am considering Boykin in a tourny shot or two. As always, for whatever that is worth ;)

Yeah, my H2H and 50/50's is where I have went back and decreased the risk level. Still got Boykin in some but greatly reduced Douglas in them. Very heavy on Allen(~60%) still. With Tourneys I'm all over the place, lol. I think I may get my dartboard out and write in all the high risk/reward guys to help choose Tourney line-ups.

 
It's interesting reading the strategy when it comes to playing in tourneys. I play only tourneys. The way I look at it, I'm trying to score 180 points every week. If I do that, I'm going to win no matter what game I entered. The tourneys offer the highest payout, therefore, if I reach my goal, I hit in a big way. So far, in my 2nd year of doing FD, I've won more than I've lost doing this. I don't think I've played in anything other than FFFC, Sun Rush, Sub Bomb, Sun Snap... I'm in it for the big bucks only. Not saying my way is the right way, but it's the right way for me.

I like that attitude, but I can't do that until i have the bankroll. So that leaves me grinding the 50/50's and such until I'm confident I have the skills to come up with lineups that have a shot at winning the larger tourneys. I do play a $1 tourney every week though, the Squib usually.

 
Layout for Week 7:

-- $35 in 50/50s

-- $25 in Doubles

-- $30 in Triples

-- $15 in Quintuples

-- $1 in a Tourney (100 person) ... I didn't really want that dollar, anyway.

One thing that bothers me...

When a contest goes live, it loses the "Sun Only" or "1pm Only" tags if you are just looking at the live contest view. If they are upcoming, you see it. If they are in the history, you see it.

I sent something to them about this but obviously it has not been updated.

 
Theoretically I should be losing everywhere (went strong on Foles and Romo) except for leagues I started Tannehill, but amongst the 20ish contests I'm in, all the ones involving 5 or less people basically share rosters. A huge % had Foles/Romo, Allen, Desean, McCoy, Bailey.

The 3rd most owned QB I've seen was Philly Rivers and he hasn't had an outrageous day. Anyone who hit on Tannehill, Forte is having a fun one right now.

 
Went hard on the KC Defense this week as well (90% of my entries). Still early, but at this point not looking very good.

My WR and RB guys should have been good for 25 points each, easy. Charles is still playing, Forte hit 30, but the rest tanked. Clay tanked. Bailey tanked. Ugh. Freeman better have a really good game. Minnesota too.

I did this alot. I'm donating to fellow degenerates again. But this is a good example of why I prefer the larger rosters at other sites. FantasyFued, StarStreet, DraftStreet, all use 2qbs and flexes. At those sites I still have a good shot at saving this weekend, but I am Eli and Nicks dependent tomorrow night. I have some Glennon VJax teams stopping this from being a bloodletting.

If you gamblers believe in following trends fade my opinions next week. I peaked at +$800 across all sites three weeks ago. Good chance I'm back to even Monday night. Oof.

 
Had a Foles/Forte/Reed lineup only 1pm games score 109 and didn't cash....26th.

Had a Tannehill/Forte/Clay lineup only 1pm games score 90...41st. The 109 would have placed 21st in this contest.

Weird day so far.

 
Very good chance to go 4/4 this week.

H2H's are 99% guaranteed and I seriously have a great shot to win some tourneys if all goes well.

Still have freeman, peterson, cruz, welker left to go and im already in the top 1/2 of the both tourneys I entered. (same roster entered for all 4)

It's so tough to tell at this point as in some contests I need players to score while others those SAME players scoring will hurt me.

Either way I should double my money this week as being a Falcons fan helped a ton this week. Harry Douglas and J.Rodgers in a lot of my lineups helped offset Foles. I also had Forte in pretty much every lineup. Gonzo was a big disappointment but lucky for me I switched him to Gronk in a bunch of contests last minute.

 
On another note, I destroyed Condia in a head to head lineup and he had a really BRUTAL score (62 with Cruz/Decker left). I wonder if he used similar lineups across the board and took a HUGE hit today?

 
Today was a good day.....I have a chance to win a tourney ($1 Sunday dive). Sitting at 170.04 with Wayne and Prater to go.

At QB today: Romo, Glennon, E. Manning, Luck

At RB today: Forte, Gore, Moreno, D. Williams

At WR today: Wayne, Wallace, Boykin, Green, V. Jackson, Cruz, D. Thomas, K. Allen, T. Williams

At TE today: Gronk, Reed, Finley, Davis, Gates, Gonzo

At K today: Henery, Prater, Bailey, Crosby, Vinatieri

At DEF today: Chiefs, Panthers, Packers, 49ers, Chargers, Dolphins,

I played AJ Green, Forte, Gore, and Reed on 75% of my teams (not all on the same teams). If Luck, Wayne, Eli, and Cruz go off, I could make some serious bank in the tournaments this week. I'm in 13 of them.

Sorry for the tooting of my own horn :penalty: I'll flag myself for that....I've just never have had a week like this before.

 
first week to play and the scoring system isn't intuitive to me yet. I put up 128.98 in a 55K cap tourney with 270 people. I'm sitting in 9th right now and am done, what are the odds I stay top 45/top 70?

He was top 10 in some of my 50/50s today. He plays alot of different lineups though. He tossed out a lineup that had all early players for a couple all day contests and is sitting 1st w/ 130.

 
I need a low scoring game + 17 or less by Moreno to win a $25 FFFC seat.

looks like I'm finishing 2nd for a $200 FFFC super qualifier seat. Romo :thumbdown:

It looks like 7-4, sitting at -$14 pending one tournament.

In 9th place, done, top 24 pay +$30

Need to hang on by the skin of my teeth with all the studs playing tonight.

 
Of course I played a couple Sun-Thu Primetime 50/50s again this week....looks like I found the gem. DHB $4500. Only two entries with DHB out of 100 are mine. Very surprised by that...he was buried at the dead bottom of the WR list though.

Usually play the backwards Thurs fade in these for the most part, but with only 6 teams to choose from sometimes you have to take a couple. This week, only have Carolina D in one of the lineups, the other lineup is all Sun/Mon.

 
Sitting on top of a small tourny but doubt I hold onto first. Really need something to offset the losses on Foles and Gonzo. I made a real bad call on Harry Douglas - never saw that coming.

Third week in a row that I will score more points with my $55k lineup than my $60k.

This week I "upgraded"

TE Reed to Gonzo

WR Wright to Gordon

RB Forte to Charles

So bloody frustrating, if I used my Expert lineup in three standard leagues I go from a break even week to a healthy 30% gain.

 
My first bad week. Ended up 13-29 this week, way too much of Foles/Romo/Gonzo/Wayne & McCoy.

Game of inches, if Wayne had been able to catch that last pass & take it in for the score it would have pushed about 15 more games my way.

Ah well, season total on 50/50s stand at 103-33.
 
Holy crap....that last field goal put me back into first place in my tournament.....I woke up my neighbors. Finished with 187.54. Now I just have to hold off two teams to keep 1st place. Up 11.9 over J. Simpson and up 17.8 over V. Cruz. Feels good to know that I have locked up at least 3rd place.

My team this week:

Green 24.5

Any one I should be concerned about getting a scratch myself? A little bit leery of Blackmon. I've got him in a few line ups because the rest sounded precautionary and scheduled, and he returned to practice, but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for him to be downgraded to "doubtful" by Friday/Saturday.

Any opinions on Foles vs. Tannehill as a low-cost QB option? I like both matchups, Tannehill is a bit cheaper, and coming off one week rest. I might throw one in a lineup with DeSean and the other with Wallace... but should I pair them or do some 'cross-hedging'?

RBs - Forte, Moreno, Bernard, Woodhead

WRs - DT, Wayne, Allen, Nelson, Blackmon, Gordon, Wallace, maybe Desean. Although its hard to turn to Desean despite the juicy matchup when DT is the same price.

TEs - stocking up on Clay, Reed, and potentially Finley, although less sure about him and he's about a grand more.

How many lineups will feature Bailey at K? Seems like 40%+ is possible. If you knew that, would you go with the current or try to break away?

#1 WRs going up against Brandon Carr have been getting shut down this year. I'm avoiding all #1 WRs against Dallas.

Week 7- D. Jackson 3 catches for 21 yards 0 td

Week 6- P. Garcon 6 catches for 69 yards 0 td

Week 5- D. Thomas 5 catches for 51 yards 0 td

Week 4- K. Allen 5 catches for 80 yards 0 td

Week 3- C. Givens 2 catches for 54 yards 0 td

Week 2- D. Bowe 4 catches for 56 yards 1 td

Week 1- V. Cruz 5 catches for 118 yards 3 td

I don't know for sure if Carr has been covering all these guys or not, but whoever it is, they have been doing a good job from week 2 on.

Surprised to see so many people saying this was a bad week. Barring something unforeseen tonight, this is shaping up to be another very profitable week for me.

Edit: Looking back I guess not that many people said it was bad.

For me it could turn out okay, depending on tonight. I took a big hit mostly due to with Foles and Gonzo yesterday. If Foles even put up 20 I would have had a huge week.

 
I went 0-5 in 50/50s yesterday, mainly due to Foles, Gonzo and Hilton. Should have followed Dodds lead and jumped on Douglas :wall:

 
Yeah, not shaping up to be a good week for me. Had Cutler on a couple teams and Foster on a few other and both will be the difference between winning and losing. Then lost a few "bad luck" H2H's where my score should have been good enough to win (it would have won a 50/50) but ran into a tougher opponent.

My teams on Draftstreet did better than Fan duel this week. Still can't decide which site I like better. I'm not a huge fan the 2QB + 2 Flex + No Kicker at Draftstreet but I don't like how slow Fan Duel is to adjust their prices. I feel like it introduces too much luck.

Dodds also recommended Foles and Gonzo. You take shots on players based on matchups, you win some you lose some.
