Time to hear back from the Shark Pool. What did you like that we offered?

There will also be a dislike thread.

Fire away.

Customized cheat sheets were an awesome addition. I also loved that I could see Dodds & Bloom seperately to try to gain a consensus. Any more contributors to the weekly projections will only make that feature better. Passing and rushing matchup analysis were also great, but they seem to have gotten a bit formulaic and they didnt have the outside-the-box color that they used to.

All in all, great season once again.

I also think the customized cheatsheets and the wealth of info accessible from the "MyFBG Page" were great additions this year. In particular, I found the "Fantasy Points Allowed" option to be extremely useful as the season wore on. The ability to drive this and the cheatsheets off of a model of my league's scoring system made it especially relevant.

Great job again this year, and thanks for helping me successfully defend the league title you helped me win last year!

Draft and Lineup Dominator were good again. There was a noticable improvement in the promptness of releasing projections that was an improvement over 2006. Of course, the free forums were great as well.

Those are the things I use most, in addition to dynasty rankings (I'll put that in the other thread).

My most used content:

Lineup Dominator

MyFBG

Cheatsheets

Fantasy Roundtable

There is way more content here than I could ever use.

The IDP stuff is the best on the internet.
 The promptness and attention that Borbely and Bramel give to the IDP AC forum is stellar. I don't know if they can continue to keep up that pace every year, but it was much appreciated and landed me a championship in my IDP dynasty league.I also loved the My FBG page and used it essentially every week. I did learn not to follow it like it was the law, but it gave me a great starting point for lineup decisions and WW adds in all of my leagues. Stellar work.

:mellow:I LOVE the Audible. I also think Faletti was a welcome addition this year. I appreciate that Bloom hosts the IDP show, what is Lammey too good for that? :shrug:The 5 Minute Drill was must see tv for me this fall. I can't wait to see what you guys have cooked up for next year. The chemistry between Lammey and Bloom is what makes both shows tick. Are we going to see a return of Ones 2 Watch? I used to love reading that to keep up with college football. (I don't have THAT much time to watch football)Custom cheatsheets was the best! Fantasy roundtable was a must read.I would like to see more dynasty content, and perhaps a more thorough version of Dynasty Watch.Great job FBG's!

I like the roundtable feature. It's interesting to read the staff members opinions on players, team situations , etc

Pre-season:

Player pages

Face offs and spotlights

All articles are usually pretty good

DRAFT DOMINATOR IS THE BEST!!!

In Season:

My FBG feature was great!

Targets

Upgrades/downgrades

Passing and rushing match ups

Fantasy roundtable is interesting sometimes

Players in the news

LOVE THE AUDIBLE but I would like to see this as subscriber only (though I know this will probably never happen)

(Edited to add a couple things)

The Audible is great.

Articles I read every week:

Reading the Defense - Bramel

Dynasty Shopping Mall - Tefertiller

Eyes of the Guru - Norton

Ear to the Ground - Magaw

Dynasty Watch - Staff

Kickermania - Herman

Dynasty IDP Buy Low / Sell High - Borbely

Breaking News/Sunday Updates/Inactives - Bryant

Lebowski and Judge on the same page - this is pretty much my list, though I didn't use the My FBG feature - sounds like I missed out. The face offs and spotlights in the offseason are just gold. Good debates where one could hear the potential for Moss to be the #1 WR again. Articles like the 3rd year WR's help find breakout stars like Braylon Edwards. Fantasy roundtable was really interesting for about the first 2/3 of the year.

Pre-season:

Player pages

Face offs and Spotlights

All articles are usually pretty good

DRAFT DOMINATOR IS THE BEST!!! THANKS BRUCE!

In Season:

My FBG feature was GREAT!!!!!!!!

All Target related data

Upgrades/downgrades and Top 250 forward

Passing and rushing match ups

Players in the news

Over/under value Plays

Fool's Gold (nice new feature!)

Sleepers

Subscriber Contest! (Like this year's format best!)

Of course RANDOM SHOTS! (I know your not a WGA member so NICE job on the new "material" Joe)

Fantasy roundtable is interesting sometimes. Sometimes they all type the same thing 5x in a row for each question. Makes me wonder if they are really chatting or just feeding answers via email and someone compiles the responses. Great idea - but needs fine-tuned a bit.

Happy with everything more or less.

Bloom needs a raise and hirer EBF. :tinfoilhat: :lmao:

Rookie poster of the year: benson_will_lead_the_way. :banned:

Kids got game.

I really enjoyed the target info and the game recaps. Nice work, and useful information if you weren't able to see a game.

The customized cheatsheets are the best improvement this year. And thanks for showing Bloom's predictions as well as Dodds'. I also love the 5-Minute Drill, Buy Low/Sell High, and Random Shots.

I owe a special Thank You to FBGs this year, in that your ratings and comments helped me win my league this year. First time that's happened in the 10 years I've been playing FF. :lmao:  :hifive:

Dynasty content was brilliant - it would be great to see even more devoted to it next season.

The 5 Minute Drill was sensational. Very professional approach and unlike the CBS/NBS/Fox 'versions', Cec & Sig cater for us hardcore fantasy fans. Love it.

While I always look through most of the content, my 'must-reads' each week were:

Reading the Defense - Bramel

Dynasty Shopping Mall - Tefertiller

IDP Strong/Weak Plays - Borbely

Value Plays - Tefertiller

Overvalued Players - Tefertiller

Offensive Sleepers - Henry

Passing Matchups - Wimer

Rushing Matchups - Wimer

Buy Low/Sell High - Bloom

Dynasty IDP Buy Low / Sell High - Borbely

Ear to the Ground - Magaw

Fantasy Roundtable - Staff

Dynasty Watch - Staff

Updated Cheatsheets - Dodds

Random Shots - Bryant

Anything from Bramel, Bloom, Rudnicki, Borbely or Tefertiller, be it subscriber content or on the post board, seems to be a perfect fit for my fantasy needs.

Thank you FBG's.

Great stuff, and I thought this year was a big leap over an already excellent service last year. I especially enjoyed the custom stuff (myFBG), and the second opinion cheatsheets.

Also, the 5 minute drill is da bomb.

Hirings, NFFC contest of course, more Cecil and Bloom the better and their show was a great addition.

Content is king here. I think you guys do a great job. I like the draft dominator, customized cheat sheets, buy low/sell hight, and the roundtable.

I subscribe mainly to support the site because I enjoy the forums (FFA/IDP) so much. I've really tried to like the Shark Pool, but the tool factor often gets turned up to "10" in there.

The three articles that I read religiously:

1. Eyes of the Guru - Norton (this article just flat kicks ###)

2. Random Shots - Bryant

3. Ear to the Ground - Magaw

I absolutely love the Dynasty Shopping Mall. Bloom with his takes on rookies and sell-high/buy-low articles. The Audible is fun to watch. I know I'm missing a few because I read just about every article each week. I enjoyed reading Collin Dowling's Dynasty Year 2 article. In fact, most of the preseason articles were useful and entertaining. Jason Wood's blog is a good read.I'll probably add some input in the "don't like" thread (it's easier to say what you don't like then what you do like), but if FBG's were to not change a single thing next year I'd still love it.

Edit to add: The custom cheatsheets are freakin' awesome.

I noticed this year that everything seemed to come out when it was supposed to, I don't recall anything being late as it has been sometimes in the past. This is really appreciated. I really like the Offensive Upgrades/Waiver - Staff *** so early in the week. There was a lot of good information there. And I agree that the custom cheatsheets were very cool. Great work this year all around. :ptts:

I won't get too much into the usual great stuff that has made this site great (message board, late breaking info, projections, dominator, sos, and so on and so on.....), so I'll focus on the relatively new stuff.

Customized cheat sheets/myfbg are great.

Like that some key content was available early in the week for roster decisions

As mentioned above, hitting published deadlines is greatly appreciated.

I liked the revamped sos that showed the entire year (even past weeks) to help spot trends.

But by far the best improvement was (finally) the 2nd opinion projections! I don't want one person to give me a cheatsheet for my lineup each week, I want multiple datapoints so I can try to consider as many factors as possible and make an informed decision.

I buy the subscription for 2 things:

Draft Dominator (including the cheatsheats, of course)

Weekly cheatsheets

As a commish, DD is a must at our live draft, and I just don't have time to do in-depth research on who to start every week.

I also read Random Shots every week.

Draft Dominator

Projections Dominator

Lineup Dominator

Kickermania

Getting LD out early Wednesday made it much easier this year for waivers

Player links directly from within LD to the web are invaluable when you want a specific piece of information

And of course the prompt responses from Bruce in the application forum are forever appreciated

Random Shots

Draft Dominator (this can't be released early enough for a geek like me  )

Player rankings and projections

Being able to custom the projections based on our leagues scoring system

All of the contests

As a commish I also think DD is extremely valuable. I keep track of the draft as it goes then save the file. I can then export it and email it to everyone in the league. This is especially important because of the way my keeper league is run. DD is hands down the best tool out there. I also have the last 3 years of drafts from another league I am in and can analyze when runs on positions might take place, other owners tendencies, etc.

Tell Joe and David "thanks, again" for making these message boards available.

I don't know about any of that other stuff that people are talking about.
