Felix Jones vs. Darren McFadden (1 Viewer)

Which one of these two guys do you think has more value in a keeper league? They are both avl and I am going to pick one up.

I'd say McFadden and really I don't think its even close.

How is Felix going to be better with Barber around?

I think Felix has the better long term success than McFadden.

I just think Felix is built to be a better RB. McFadden has the tools that a lot of other RBs don't, but I don't see him being a super star in the NFL. Felix Jones could have an amazing career. As we've seen in the past- all it takes is one injury to a player and his backup could take the job for good. All Barber needs is one injury for a while and he may lose a significant number of carries to Jones. Now of course people have been saying this for a while and Barber has stayed healthy. We'll see if the trend continues.

Granted Felix is hurt right now, but McFadden has done nothing to show he can take the abuse a RB endures in the NFL. I just don't see McFadden as an every down back, but I do see Felix as one.

Bottom line- neither are real good options for the immediate future. McFadden may be the better RB next season if Barber can stay healthy, but beyond 09 I have to put my money on Felix.

I agree with McFadden due to situation. Most likely there will be a new coach next year and they will want to build around their strengths with DMac being the most obvious on offense. Felix has the HR potential but Barber is/was the primary back in Big D.

In a keeper league, I'm surprised either is available, unless you mean they're available in reasonable trade offers.

I would definitely go with McFadden, although Felix should do well also. As was mentioned, Felix is an excellent COP/ Home run hitter type, but he has a superior back in front of him with a starter's role and a starter's salary. It's only a matter of time until McFadden is the clear-cut centerpiece of Oakland's offense.

Felix has impressed me a lot more than McFadden has this season. He's made a handful of standout plays in almost every game he's played, which is a very good sign.

On the flipside, McFadden has looked totally mediocre aside from one big game against a Swiss cheese Chiefs defense. I know he's been playing hurt, but he didn't show me much even before the injuries.

I have been offered Warner & Felix for McFadden in my dynasty league. I know Warner is short term but I am thinking about it since my other QB's are Eli & Gerrard. I'm in 1st place right now and would like to stay ahead of the game for this year without sacrificing too much of the future. I was also offered the same trade for Jacobs.

Felix makes me excited (not in that way) when I watch him play.

McFadden makes me excited (not in that way) when I watch him play against the Chiefs.

See the difference?

I'm not entirely sure being on the Raiders is an upgrade in situation.
