Female Sideline Reporters (2 Viewers)

Just wondering what everyone's take is on some of the new sideline reporters... I have to say, Andrea Kramer (sp?) on NBC Football is not doing it for me. She seems like she is trying to hard to know what she is talking about. I have to admit, I liked Melissa Stark. Lisa G. was just eye candy. Michele Tafoya is on maternity leave. Suzy Kobler.....some days "yes," some days "no." Any thoughts on this one?

I used to not care if they were male or female.

But then along came :banned: Joe Willie Namath and the Kolber moment. Priceless.

We wouldn't have had that memory if the sideline reporter had been male.

Or maybe we would have. I guess it depends on how far gone Joe was.

Kramer is at the top of the game, she's the best female reporter out there..Tafoya is a card reading

jack###...all she does is look at notes on player names, numbers, etc, and say what she reads..she doesn't know the first thing about sports...Kramer can recite stuff off the top of her head. She's by FAR the best female reporter on the sidelines, on any NFL broadcast..forget about her being a woman, she's simply one of the best NFL reporters in the industry.period.

She just not attractive and I have to say that bothers me.

Strange thing is, she looked like she aged 20 years over the off season.. Has she been doing a lot of :banned: to pass the time??

That's just it. With today's cable costs, ticket costs, etc, I want football knowledge and hot looks. Kramer may know her stuff but she isn't looking the greatest. There has to be some better options. I.e. attractive reporters who know football. Let me offer up Jillian Barberie, Diane Hill, Suzi Perry, Gabby Logan, Kirsty Gallagher, just to name a few. Do yourself a favor and google image some of these girls. IMO, Diane Hill could be solid.

My wife says that women should know their role and have no place in a man's game. :lmao:

Thank you Jesus! :pics:

Jillian Barberie not only has fake boobs but she can't even do the weather properly when reading a teleprompter. While looking better than Kremer, she can't even carry Andrea Kremer's bra when it comes to reporting about football.

This girl can talk all she wants about football. I wouldn't care if she came on last night and saidPortis has hurt his shoulder.

I remember once when someone punched me in the shoulder.

Boy that hurt.

Hey stop looking at my boobs.

Back to the booth.

The only things I want to hear from a sideline reporter, male or female, are injury updates. I am tired of the pointless and uninformative interviews while play is going on.

I really enjoyed Andrea Kramer interviewing Santana Moss about Clinton Portis' injury. Good stuff there. I'm not sure why Dr. Moss wasn't able to give her more information.

the only sideline reporter i like of either gender is tony siragusa. the reason is i agree that most provide useless info. but he acts like a third man in the booth and comments on what he sees from his vantage point. though he does score very, very low on the eye candy scale. :D

You're dead wrong about Tafoya. She's very knowledable. You didn't think she got the gig on her looks did you?As far as Kramer, I can't get past her bug eyes

I would prefer an un-trained chimp compared to Siragosa...he takes away from the game.

I'm with Andy Rooney:

"I mean, I'm not a sexist person, but a woman has no business being down there trying to make some comment about a football game."

:lmao:

I think the only sideline reporter worse the what I saw last nite was Eric Dickerson. He was difficult to endure.

And to add, I think she wants to come off as probing, but you could tell that the players gave her little respect when she was asking probing questions. Did you see Santana's face when she was asking about Portis?

More good lookin' women and less talking heads. Even in the booth. MNF with Jillian Barberie & John Madden. Now that's entertainment.

Instead of going to a 'knowledgeable' female reporter on the sideline, just flash to a half naked girl doing a pole-dance. I guarantee viewership would increase :)

i have never like listening or watching Andrea Kramer. i have no idea how knowledgable or credible she is.

i can't get past her annoying voice and brutally unattractive face.

Seems ironic given your avatar.Kramer is a legit NFL reporter and is one of the best in the business. Is any of that skill useful in a sideline reporter job? Hell no. You can't do real reporting down there. Announce any arguments or fights. Ask the coach an inane question at halftime in the hope you get him to blow up and say something stupid. Announce an injury, try to get someone to spill the beans on how bad the injury really is and send it back to the booth when nobody talks. I like to see good reporters getting jobs, but putting them on the sidelines is a waste of talent. However, Lisa Guerrerro is proof that you have to have at least a little bit of talent to do it right. She was brutal.I miss Melissa.

If I wanted to see some boobs, there's plenty of options (the internet for one). When I'm watching football I rather have good information so I don't mind Kramer at all. Sure, eye candy is nice but you can find eye candy almost anywhere.

Does Tony Siragusa bother you?

i don't dispute that....but perhaps print media would suit he skill set a little better.

Are you seriously making this judgement based strictly on her physical appearance? What about any of the other male schlubs they put out there? Are you judging them on looks? I sure as heck don't want to look at Armen Kitaen's shriveled mug on the screen, or Goose's sixteen chins blowing in the wind as he blathers on about the tender vittles they serve at the commisary in Raymond James stadium. The only thing that should matter is what kind of info they provide the viewer and Kremer sticks with relevant issues, like last night she interviewed Palmer and got straight to the point of his rehab and she was all over the Portis injury. Some of these tools would have asked Palmer about his new dog or how married life is treating him, and plenty of them would have dropped the ball on Portis.

The bottom line is Kremer knows what we are interested and she has credibility in the industry that players, assistants and coaches are willing to talk to her and give her quality information. THAT is what I am looking for from a sideline reporter.

This whole thread is ridiculous and disappointing.

Why doesn't someone start a thread on whether white or black sideline reporters are better? I would love to see the same level of indignation that would appear in that thread here.
