Fence crap... (1 Viewer)

Your scenario doesn't seem to match up to Cav's then.  You seemed to imply that everyone getting worked up was weird.  This is his situation, fence was installed prior to Cav moving in and now the guy wants to charge him for the part of the fence that borders his property.
Yes, so guy wanting Cav to pay for an existing fence that should have had the cost split with the previous owner would be the tizzy person in his scenario.

You should have said that to start with then instead of getting into a tizzy with me.

I text him and said we were going with back chainlink next to his property.

He offered I pay 1000 and told me how wood fence would give me more privacy and help with road noise.  I thanked him for the offer but we are going with the plan in place.

I don't think there is a better option.

To clarify, he charged the neighbors on the opposite side of his fence 1200, he said that side was shorter and it probably is by not that much.  Also, before we discussed the hooking, I recall him saying it was 4 years old, in the text to me he said 2.5.

To eliminate all hassles black chainlink works for us, so if he sells I'm okay and dealing with it in general.

Fixed.
