You literally missed the most fun and gore---power through that last 30 minutes for the plot twist.Huh. Didn't like Malignant much, and stopped about an hour in.

Yeah the last act was well worth it. Insane. You literally missed the most fun and gore---power through that last 30 minutes for the plot twist.
That's fine. I read the plot yesterday afterward, and don't think I missed much. I am quick to pull the plug on overly cgi (for me) horror movies in general. You literally missed the most fun and gore---power through that last 30 minutes for the plot twist.
I always have the intention of doing so, and seem to only get about 10-12 finished.whose ready for the 31 day marathon
I started a night early (I need all the help I can get) with Come to Daddy on Prime. Saw in on a "best horror movies to stream" type list. Had some OK moments, but mostly not a great way to kick off the holiday season.
GF and I watched it last year and both liked it IIRC. Not great but pretty decent. It's an odd movie for sure
I Saw the Devil was recommended to me. May try to catch it this week. I am currently half way through House on Haunted Hill with Vincent Price.
Yes but it has been several years. I really like Vincent Price and I think I have probably seen most of what he was in.KarmaPolice said:Had you seen that movie before?
We watched that a while back and I seriously thought she had had a stroke. She could barely move one side of her face it was so tightly stretched. The movie was fairly good.Watched I See You last night. Thought it was great. Can't figure out what was scarier - the movie or Helen Hunt's face-lift.
I like found footage more than most. I found that the more I thought about it, the more I like it, but IMO they should have leaned heavier into stuff like what she saw at Lake Mungo and I have 0 clue why the stuff with the neighbors was even in there. The core premise of the ending was cool.I wasn't a fan.

Won't argue with that. Creepiest moments were also paired with the ####tiest looking "home footage" so I was mostly squinting and trying to figure out wtf I was looking at.Yeah it wasn't horrible but I didn't find it scary at any level so I was disappointed
Watching it, on ep 7. I enjoy it but sometimes feel it's a bit of a slog. Not sure why but feels like something's missing at times, though I'm a big fan of period horror so I'm in for the duration and I like the atmosphere and tone. Hoping for a strong finale.Anyone watching Chapelwaite on Epix? It is based on Stephen King's short story Jerusalem's Lot and a prequel of sorts to 'Salem's Lot.
It started off a little slow but like most good horror is intensifying with each episode. Definitely worth watching
Rec and Grave Encounters are at the top of my list. I joked to my wife last night that I'm nervous about Deb Logan for some reason.Lake Mungo is one of the better found footage movies, but found footage is really hit or miss for a lot of people, understandably so. Some of the better ones I like are:
The Taking of Deborah Logan
Creep 1 and 2
REC - (the Spanish one, NOT the American remake)
Trollhunter
V/H/S Series
The Borderlands
Savageland
Hell House LLC
As Above, So Below
Grave Encounters
Of that list, REC is probably the best if I'm being honest. It's rare for a found footage movie to be good and scary all the way throughout. Most are 75% filler, but this one delivers from start to finish. And the ending is one of the scariest and most tense I've ever seen.
We are on Ep5 now and it seems to be picking up-albeit slowly. I don't know how much they can do with this story line. They are sort of limited by the number of people they have to work with and the number they have already killed off.Anyone watching Chapelwaite on Epix? The Bay is outstanding for a found footage film. On HBO Max last I checkedRec and Grave Encounters are at the top of my list. I joked to my wife last night that I'm nervous about Deb Logan for some reason.
The Bay is one not on your list that I remember really liking.
Trollhunter
Just looked today, and justwatch showed it only on AMC streaming. The Bay is outstanding for a found footage film. On HBO Max last I checked
