So crazy.
It's weird that this site doesn't show the hole cards of opponent when you looked at a showdown in hand history. Curious WTF he had there calling off so many chips with.

Still kinda early for me, but I didn't really want to play 3 handed. Kinda felt like the action had died down a bit anyway. Pretty fun times though. Great job on such an awesome run Oats. Building up 8x a buy-in at any level of the game is insane, and doing it at stakes this high makes it super sweet.

Sat with 600, left with 1.2k. Would have been happy knowing that when I sat down, but I felt kind of disappointed when I quit. Got up well over 2k but made some really critical mistakes. Game was soft yet for some reason I felt compelled to fire a bullet on all three streets attempting to bluff one of the toughest players on the table. Just too stubborn/stupid.
Was having a really brutal day on the BitCoin poker site I play on though, so it was nice to at least log a profit.

Still, logged another withdrawal, en route to me for delivery tomorrow, a nice profit for a day's work
Look at it this way Uni. You made some bone-headed plays which you know were bad, and still managed to double up. That's all you need to know about the site. As Otis said, your game will tighten up (as in get better, not conservative) and then you'll really be tearing it up.Sat with 600, left with 1.2k. OK, this may belong in the Vegas thread but I figure I get the subset I'm gunning for in this one. Staying at the Aria for my conference in a couple weeks. Anyone played poker there and have views on how the room stacks up competition wise? Willing to walk a couple hotels down if need be. I've played at Venetian and MGM but it's been awhile. From what I saw last time at MGM the poker room is much smaller. Looks as a whole that poker rooms are smaller. MGM used to be real easy with the tourist guys. Not sure anything exists like that now.

Nice room.... but the two times I played there it was a rock garden. Tough room to play in.

In my experience you want to stay out of the high priced properties. Lots of vegas pros go there to pick off the rich tourists. They all know each other and they are coming after you. I like the smaller mid lever rooms. Ballys, Monte Carlo, Harrahs, TI. If your looking for a big room I'd say either the Mirage or MGM.

So far my night has been fairly frustrating. Lots of guys have joined the table with 200-300 small stacks and played them terribly, usually by pushing allin with marginal hands. Unfortunately other players caught real hands against them and busted them. Just have to stay patient and hope to catch a hand against crazies like that. Surprised at how many there have been though.

Phew, crazy night. Total roller-coaster. Spent most of the night down, kept running into tough situations. Not bad beats, just the inevitable stuff like top two vs set, set vs flush draw which hits, etc... Unlucky #### like that which just happens and tends to usually cost an entire stack. Busted twice. Stuck with it though and managed to turn things around for a small profit.
Trying to utilize the buddy list feature and add users which are terrible. Only have a few so far, but these are guys that sit with 300 bucks and push all-in with KJ preflop. Crazy stuff.

I noticed a ton of these annoying small stack players last night. Really frustrating, they just shove like it's a slot machine. That's not poker, and it's also incredibly bad for my game, which often relies on catching monster hands with oddball starting hands and as a result stacking someone who's got AA or KK. I don't get the pot odds to play against those folks. Normally you're right, you can just play it straight against them and win over time, but the problem is that I'm not interesting in tailoring my game to the 200 stack, I'd much prefer to play to set up the guy with the 2k stack.

I'm about done. Will be busted soon and not likely to be reloading. Drowning on the river hand after hand has made me realize online poker has passed me by. I just don't have the mental fortitude anymore. Definitely not enjoying it. The gubment won in my case. Took it away long enough that I lost my taste for it I guess. Appreciate the PM though Otis. Hope you guys continue to tear it up.
Ah, it's no biggie. It's like that computer game you loved 10 years ago, the one that got you hooked on gaming. You go back and try to play it again and, while the nostalgia carries you for a little bit, you realize the graphics look pretty terrible now, the AI is pretty bad, and the story really wasn't as great as you remembered. So you put the box back on the shelf and just remember the good ol' days as you move on.
I don't know if the site allows transfers. If it does and any FBGs are planning to try out the site at the micro levels, let me know and maybe we can set something up. I'm sure your GB would actually lose money if I wanted to cash just in FedEx fees, so I definitely don't want to do that.

Well I went off the rails tonight. I think I was burnt out. Playing constantly for a week took its toll. I just started throwing chips around at everything, took a couple bar beats but mostly just played carelessly and my stack is gone. I'm OK it that as I've cashed over 5k already in about a week and need a few days off. I may deposit and start playing in a couple days but for now I'll enjoy a night off.
Sorry to hear you busted Oats. Can definitely get burnt out when you're playing so much.. And a lot probably has to due with the variance swinging back in the other direction. 6Max at these stakes can be extremely streaky.
I was cruising tonight, and got to a point where I was pretty happy and planned to play the last few hands until my blind and call it a night. Of course I get sucked into two big hands and drop like $700 bucks. Still ended up in the green, just kind of a cruddy way to end the night.
Not sure how much longer I will be playing 5/10 though. I enjoy the competition on here and feel like it's a +EV game depending heavily on table/player selection, but eventually I'm due for a really rough stretch and will likely bust since I don't have the bankroll to support that swing. I should probably cash out some and move down limits. Wish they had more SNG's and MTT's running throughout the evening. Still not sure how to spend those fancy rubies I won in that SNG qualifier.

We all do that, Otis. Sorry to hear but it was a good run all the same.
I think my biggst issue was, I haven't adjusted to the bad calls. I need to learn to bet bigger for value when I think I have the best hand. I tend to throw out what I think will get a call from a marginal hand. But on this site, anything will get called. So I give up way to much value when I have the best of it. And that cuts in to profits.
Just logged a short session for a decent profit before stopping to make dinner.. but I saw something that kind of bothered me. A guy I've been seeing often over the last few days, always seems to be doing really well. Always has the table covered. The problem, is that we were playing at a 50BB Max table. So at 5/10NL everyone has to start off at $500. He bought in for 500, then a minute later I noticed he was 1000, then a few hands later he had 1500 (largest stack at the table was ~1200 at the time). Not sure if he knows some kind of glitch or what, but kind of defeats the purpose of a 50BB table if a player knows how to join the game and have everyone immediately covered.

I've seen this. What they do is they push all in on a hand, and as they're pushing all in, they reload. It's an exploit for sure, and some of these guys do that to make sure they cover everyone else at the table. Frankly, I'm ok with it -- I want big stacks that can double me up. It is kind of cheap. I assume it's something you can do on other sites that have the same skin, but I don't know that for sure.
Ahh, now that you mentioned it he did push all-in immediately prior to reloading. I could be wrong, but I believe on most sites you have to bust before it allows you to reload. Seems weird to offer a 50BBMax table if that glitch exists, should be fixed IMO.
You and I have different styles for sure. I don't mind short stacks. They don't have the flexibility to make as many moves. Would MUCH rather have that than a solid player with more chips than me on the table.
Was down to half my deposit and in a sour mode having my Aces cracked by deuces. So jumped on a table where I had 1/6th the max buy-in. Flopped an Ace high straight with AQ in my hand and pushed. Got called by a J6o! Now I'm back to over my buy-in. Nothing to be proud of or anything, but I was ready to just bust out and ended up more than doubling on one hand.

Things can turn fast. I'm in the midst of a losing streak here, looking for a similar turn.
####. Forgot how cruel this game can be. Was cruising all night, up to well over 3k.. lost a huge pot worth 4k. Not a bad beat, just unfortunate circumstances. Had him the whole way but he hit his flush. Ugh... Angry at myself. Not the biggest hand I've lost but pretty close.
Had about a grand left after this big hand. Blew it all. Account is drained. I hate everything.
I've noticed one guy, name is like MisterMogli, that is up at every single table I have ever seen him on. Wonder if he's like a pro crashing the party, or just someone exploiting that glitch.
Tough one Uni. Admittedly, I used to always worry about things like that and would leave a table if I got up to big and anyone was close to having me covered for that very reason. It's probably a big part of why I suck at poker.

I have a local 5-10 game that has a max buy of $300. It seems that the key is to win the big three way hand and get to $1K then cash out. It's about accumulating bullets. It's not the Otis way of doing things, but If you are up 200% in any one session It's time to cash out at least until you got 6-8 buy in's accumulated.

I've had two runs on this site so far running a 1k buy in roll up to 7k or 8k. I'm still longing for the 10k stack. I will make it happen one of these days.
I've been card dead on this site since joining outside the first 30 minutes I was on. So I requested to just cash my buy-in back out if they can do it without them losing money. Even offered up the few extra dollars I have to cover it if they have cost for mailing a check off. Hoping the amount is small enough they can just SmaySmal it back. Not sure if that is possible. But this site has just been miserable for me (cards, not software) so I've kind of lost interest.
