It is a much nicer pokeroom. The perks at Harrahs sucks but it's in such a bad neighborhood that many of the poker players are just local drug dealers looking to gamble with huge bankrolls. I hate to generalize people like this or make assumptions, but I've played enough there to do the math. Over the years, I've found the game to be softer. If you're just looking to play once and not grind out a nice income, Parx is definitely the way to go.I have a couple friends that are 10/10 regs at Parx. They definitely enjoy the room and staff there.Game is easier at Harrahs Chester. I'm there every Friday night into Saturday morning and sometimes once or twice on a weeknight. Let me know if you decide to head down. I sit at one of the only two or three 2-5 NL tables and always wear a Red Sox hat. Come say haiAnyone ever play at Parx in PA? I'm off on Friday and have the itch but don't feel like fighting shore traffic all the way down to AC.
Oh...
If you do, Park valet, give them 10 and they'll keep it out front for you. The casino is adjacent to one of the worst neighborhoods in the US. I wouldn't want to walk to my car with a bankroll at 2 am here.
Before I got absolutely felted by the worst beat of my life last weekend I witnessed 2 of the "locals" showdown an all in hand for 8 thousand each with a pair of 3s losing to a pair of 10s. They were talking smack against each other all night and the only reason those crappy hands got that deep is because of pride. It really is that bad there.
