FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

Sitting in a Target parking lot in Delaware, waiting for a coworker so we can head to a meeting. It's 18 degrees out. Some mid 50s guy shows up gets out of his vehicle and stands in the 18 degree weather in a short sleeve shirt! starts smoking a cigarette. Poor guy obviously told his wife he quit for New Years and can't smoke in the family vehicle. He's now been here for 30 minutes and is on his 6th cigarette. :lmao:My coworker is late. Wondering if this guy is gonna smash a whole pack and get pneumonia in the process

Butler has now won 13 in a row but is listed as the underdog tonight at LaSalle. After the miracle buzzer beater late Saturday night against the Zags on national TV they go on the road for one game with a look-ahead at home against Temple on Saturday night. Butler’s last three wins came without their leading scorer, guard Rotnei Clarke. LaSalle is more than able to exploit the advantage in the backcourt, having turned over their conference opponents an average of 19.5 times per game. The situation demands a play IMO.

LASALLE -2 -120
one of those games that you see the line and you don't understand why. I had booked Lasalle already. Why do i feel like the fish thats gonna be dinner for bigger fish. Maybe I should go bowling instead of fishing. Wheres Donnie and The Dude?
Now I understand why. It was so backers of Butler ML would be losers, backers of Lasalle and what looked like a strange line would be losers, and only takers of Butler + points were winners. For that line to be where it was, i'm betting vegas took most of Joe Q's money.

The Dude: **** sympathy! I don't need your ****n' sympathy, man, I need my ****ng johnson!Donny: What do you need that for, Dude?

Both Hawaii and TV pay the NFL millions for the game - thus the NFL is NOT going to want to shut down the game. The recent speeches are just the NFL trying to cover themselves.

The players have millions to lose with an injury - ask robert edwards for those who think they should do flag football. I don't care what the comish and or Peyton Manning says they are NOT going to lay it out on the line for this game.

What your going to see is more of a coaches and ref compromise. The coaching staff will be told to run more running plays and WR screens and the skill players will be told to run 4 yards and fall down at first contact. The refs are not ever going to stop the clock and they are going to mark the ball ready for play a good 5 seconds before it's ready.

My guess is you see a 70 point game that would/should have been 100.
Yup, I'll be betting the under. Current line of 85 is a reaction to the last 2 years.
84.5 now, I'm in for the under. :moneybag:

I had to buy up, but in on U84.5 as well. More than 12TD's with all the news about playing higher quality defense this year or else, I'm simply not buying into the over here. Has Baylor/OKST written all over it.

RickJ with a huge card today (at least for him).

On a totally off the wall note about the Citadel. Their coach is Chuck Drisell(son of Lefty). He was the coach at the DIII school I went to, I was even the manager one year and played against him in intramurals. He was a horrible coach then and I was shocked to find out that he is coaching DI(even lower level DI).

tempted to put a dime on Akers...

I'm banking on another Blackhawks win. I think Q has impressed upon the kids how important a quick start is in this short season. Sharks and under looks like a decent play too.

Thursday Parlay:NebraskaOmaha +11.5Michigan -14.5Blackhawks (Chicago) -125Capitals (Washington)-130Hurricanes (Carolina) -13010 bucks to win 195

I'm taking a poke with Nashville +150, seems like good value.

F'ing Texas A&M. Up 19-5, 21-7, and 28-17 through the 1st half, only to give up a 10-0 run right before halftime, then follow up with cold shooting and sloppy ballhandling (turnovers) in the 2nd half. From a statistical standpoint, A&M should have won that game by double figures, instead, I'm out units, possibly cost others, and look like an idjit. Thanks, Aggies.Besides the A&M gaffe, I got the lean on Florida right, and split the two .5u plays, as Auburn continued their cold-shooting ways and fell @ Vandy, and Arkansas blew the doors off Miss. St...wish I'd felt more confident about that one...Something I DO feel very confident about tonight's matchup of Tennessee @ Ole Miss...Ole Miss is for real, and absolutely clicking right now. They've been able to win handily both on the road and at home. Saturday, they dispatched Arkansas with little trouble, and this game vs Tennessee will be the 2nd of two in a row at home. With a road game vs so-so Auburn next on the slate, there's absolutely no reason to be looking past Tennessee, and handling their business tonight. Ole Miss has just about everything, veterans, depth, and quality play inside and out, and balanced efficiency on offense and defense. Tennessee on the other hand is firmly entrenched in the bottom 1/2 of the SEC, and they've been pretty bad on the road. Ole Miss beat them by 18 in their 1st matchup a few weeks ago, and in that time, Ole Miss has gotten better, and Tennessee has gotten worse. Murphy Holloway, Marshall Henderson and Reginald Buckner are too big a task for the Vols, and now that Jarvis Summers is coming into his own as a distributor, Ole Miss has the look of a Sweet 16 squad. They don't stumble tonight, and we get back the A&M units with a double-digit win. Ole Miss -8.5.Good Luck!

I hate this bet, but I'm in for the haul already:Ben Askren (MMA) -550.I know the line has moved worse then that, but i don't see really see a path to victory for Amoussou. This should be close to a virtual lock. But of course, i thought the Broncos over the Ravens was a virtual lock too
