FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (7 Viewers)

Okay, what do we got left??? :excited:
Australian Open tennis parlay I posted a few pages ago
PLZ REPOST PLZ THX TIA
I jumped in on Mardy Fish. Lay a lot to win a little...
I actually think Verdasco was the play and I'm pissed I missed out on it. For some reason Tomic was favored. Not saying Tomic can't win but the wrong guy was favored for sure.
Who is going to be on the tube next? I would like to maybe place a gentleman's wager on the performance. Much thanks to you.

Would think they are going to continue to show Fish - then I have no idea. Probably bank to a womens match

Canucks are doing an awesome job staying within three goals - at home - of the powerful Ducks squad.
Ducks 5-0-1 in last 6 now with 25 goals.
Doc told me they were a hot steaming mess. :hot:
Those wins included wins over Calgary, Edmonton, Columbus and the New York hockey Islanders. Ducks are terrible, now 15-22-7. Every dog has their day I suppose, Ducks win in Vancouver about as much as Kansas kicks out #1 hits.

FWIW, Sitting on

NYG to Win NFC at +1200 (played before the playoffs started) and

NYG/NE Superbowl at +1000. (played after the wild card round)

I really think we are going to see a NE/NYG superbowl at this point and rather than hedge anything I think I am going to stand pat, but of course I have to think about the options.

I am wondering what the best way to hedge this is. NE is the early game and they are decent sized favorites. If they win, it will be very tempting to lay some off on SF. Is that the best way to play this? I had another thought of taking a BAL/SF parlay, but that seems silly.

If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears.

Sweat it out Beavers - be a man ;)

I place my bets based on which teams fans will melt down more in the Shark Pool if their team loses.

Ravens fans and Giants fans seem like they would be angriest (Patriots fans, though cocky, seem to be resigned to the fact that their defense sucks and 49ers fans seem just happy to be there).

Therefore, if the Ravens and Giants lose, I lose my parlay but I'm at least entertained in the Shark Pool for 4 hours as people start losing their minds.

If the Ravens and Giants win, I win my parlay.

It's a win-win situation.

ETA: I also can't stand to see Ray Lewis win anything.

:lmao:
I'm dead serious about this. I don't have a favorite team. Never have. I like to root for good stories and underdogs generally and anyone but the typical league powers: Giants, Pats, Steelers, etc. I've never seen something so interesting as the Game threads during the playoffs over in the Shark Pool. Every single call by the ref is talked about as if the world is ending and it's the only bad call that has ever taken place in the history of the NFL. Go look through the thread yesterday around the time that awful fumble call was made. I'm a pretty immature little ####, but I'm amazed that some of them are grown men. Someone called someone else "b!itcht!ts" in the thread yesterday :lmao: You can't make this stuff up. I just observe and it's entertaining. I do feel bad for Pack fans though - those poor ####s have nothing in this world. Living in Wisconsin - it's going to be 10 degrees out for the next 2 months, the holidays are over, there's nothing to do except huff paint and churn butter. I don't get the hate for them but it's a rite of passage I suppose if the favorite loses to ask "Did the Packers choke?". Pure entertainment over there on Sundays. People losing their ####### minds right in front of you.

With both GB and NO losing all my NFC superbowl futures are garbage unless baltimore pulls off the upset in foxboro. If NE makes it to the superbowl they'll be favored over either NFC team.

Yeah, all my NFC SB ATS bets are basically worthless now until live betting in the game.
What did you and lump get it at? -3?
I have a little at -1.5 and more at -3. I'm not even sure there is a combination of afc/nfc right now where the AFC isn't laying at least 3 right now.
Bal/Giants?I guess depends on how Balt/Giants looks this weekend - I think that's the only hope. If Giants win in another blowout, I think they are favored over the Ravens at this point, no?

I like the teaser NE -1.5/g-men +8.5
Those seem to be pretty good numbers and what most here will be doing. Can't argue with that.
Teasers have been so awesome this playoffs too. :hot:
yup, that's what scares me, ever sice the LSU teasers croaked i've stayed with straight bets.
ORthey are due for a correction. After the way NFL teasers finished in December you would think they would be good to go. FWIW, you can get the NYG upto 9 at this threads new favorite book.

sportsbook.com just opened up the superbowl line, afc -4....jesus what a disaster

ETA: 5dimes has AFC -142

Red Wings should roll tonight and I see no reason Howard isn't in net.

Sabres are 0-8 in their last 8 road games

Sabres are 3-15-1 in the last 19 meetings.

Sabres are 1-8 in the last 9 meetings in Detroit.

I've been getting killed on puck lines but may give this one a shot...lol

:goodposting: Like the Preds, jumped on a Preds -120/Wings -225 parlay 200 to win 329.
Hope Howard is in goal for you, the backup is brutal but they usually save him for road games. My link
Oof, no Rinne. :scared: ETA: But hey, Lindback's only start against the Isles he shut them out! So I got that going for me. :lmao:

Thanks for the link, I might want to check that first before clicking on submit. :bag:

Man, I really screwed the pooch with this weekend's NFL. Haven't had a weekend like this in a long, long time...

First, despite every piece of analysis I read, I just didn't buy into the 49'ers. Rather than just stay off it, I bought in, 1st as teaser legs (Saints +3.5), and then right before game time, a parlay with the Saints -3 as a leg. After getting banged for -6u courtesy of the Saints, and having an up-and-down day with college hoops, I backed off banging the Pats as hard as I should have, and only made back 3 of the 6u. No big deal heading into Sunday, with my PLAY OF THE WEEK (Ravens) kicking off at 1PM. Hoped and prayed it would get down to 7 by itself, but no such luck...bought the hook and banged it HARD. Well, if you buy from 7.5 down to 7, why the hell not buy down to 6.5, especially if you're absolutely convinced you're going to cover? Are you buying to push rather than lose? What good is that??? No, you play to win, no matter the margin. Well, I played to push, and push I did, and the only redeeming factor is that with my offshore, you don't pay juice on a push...BUT THAT WAS MY BET OF THE WEEK, where I was going to get back Saturday's losses, plus make money on Sunday. I got so f'ing PISSED when that pushed that I kind of went on tilt...I took almost everything I got back from pushing on the Ravens and rolled it into teasers, and straight bets on the Packers...(yeah, this time I bought the Pack down to 6.5. Great.)...the one thing I didn't pound was what had stood out to me as the most certain thing about this game...the over. Of course. Because I got cold feet, and went impulsive. So I'm down about 1K going into a month where the football well has almost dried up, and at 1st glance, I've got no feeling about either of next week's games. FML. Well it's only Monday. And there's College Hoops. Thanks, thread. I needed to vent.

Howard/Miller starting tonight
In three career appearances against the Sabres, Howard has a 2-0-0 record with a 1.62 GAA and .942 SV%

In nine career starts against the Red Wings, Miller has a 2-5-2 record with a 3.30 GAA and .902 SV%
