FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

Looking forward to tonights Wings/Blackhawks game.

Hawks are favored and this will be Howard's first game back. Will he be rusty?? Will Chicago continue on their recent little tear??

I will find something to wager here....just not sure what yet? lol

I know there is a contest going on, so i'm reluctant to talk about picks for the WGC. I have some leans, fades, and longshots I like. Will post after midnight i guess. What are other golf degens thinking?
Would love some insight as well. Definitely going to place a few wagers.Probably going to grab Schwartzel at +2000Snedeker at +3500Hunter Mahans +2500Havent looked at head 2 head matchups yet

I was heavy on the Hawks on Sunday...not sure I'll tempt fate again tonight. The Blues outplayed them for most of that game. I don't think they'll get that lucky with the Wings. The Howard factor is what is stopping me from betting.

 Like that pick, he is a low favorite for his first round match up. I will probably stick to matchups rather than the tourny winner.

Plopped down a bunch on New Mexico -5 1/2 this morning. Surprised it dropped from 7 last night. Don't care if that's bad news. There isn't a better team in the Mountain West right now and I don't know how we are going to defend Gordon, who is also on fire. CSU has beaten them once the last ten times we played and lost by 33 in the Pit a month ago. Sure, UNLV was a bigger game for the Lobos the other day but not enough to overlook this and TCU on deck is nothing. I just can't see an angle here for CSU. They are tough at home and play hard; that's all I got. But they don't fare well against athletic teams like this and we don't have a big man to handle Gordon. Hell, all New Mexico needs to do is press -- Jesse Carr will turn the ball over 50 times. Then they'll go to walk-on Sabas, who is like 5 foot. Anyway, I could go on, but believe me, we are overmatched here, and I'll be shocked if they pull this out.

Wait, want more? Fine. They haven't played any real good teams at home. SDSU and Colorado were the toughest. The Aztecs game was a perfect storm. They got caught on a bad charter with bad weather and had to stay in some hotel on the western slope...to go with two refuels along the way. They calculated it would have taken less time to drive to Fort Collins from San Diego. And like I keep saying on here, SDSU is erratic anyway, you never know what you'll get with them this year and we did not get their best. Colorado...well, big rival and played well to barely hold on, but CU are playing better now it seems, so again, the win probly looks better than it really was. Although we did still beat those f'n kooks. :D

So actually, the meat of the Mountain West has yet to visit the Fort. New Mexico and UNLV. Both blew us out at their digs. And in between, CSU has to go to SDSU, where the Aztecs are gonna be all about revenge. So I have to think Saturday's border war against WYO was the last hurrah, where CSU looked bad for quite a bit, but got by with effort and a raucous, sellout (rare) Saturday night crowd. Before that last gasp, they lost to TCU and Boise State...not good. I fear this next week will be sobering -- not unlike last year's finish -- and it starts tonight. The Lobos are very good and Alford has them peaking.

I don't feel so nice saying all that but it's my objective take on things up in the Fort. I see a 1 - 3 finish staring down at them right now. Maybe even 0 - 4, as their last game will be at Air Force and if the rest of this is true, they could easily tank that. And AF will be all-out for that one, no doubt. Anyway, GL!!

Let's go lobs!!

Georgetown -2 @ Seton Hall tomorrow night. Them boys ain't never seen defense like they're about to see.

I just missed getting it at 1.5, but I don't think it'll matter.
Seems too easy. Sure tough road game, but to push on a 2 point road win for the #8 Hoyas, I'll take it. In.
I like Seton Hall. They're a solid, not great team that is firmly on the NCAA bubble. They've played well at home and this is their opportunity to make their case.

going with a homer play, but i like it enough to at least mention it in public:

Flyers -120

The team is all over the place, but i think they play well today and the new additions to the team will help them be a little more motivated to play.

Taking the over 5.5 -120 here. These teams have played 3 times this year, and scored 30 goals in those games. :banned:

I'm giving my Pistons a shot to win me over in the wagering world one more time....

Pistons +2

Michigan +3

Pistons have been playing well of late and this is a big game for Michigan...one back in the big ten.

my card tonight

2-team parlay (1U to win ~1.5U): Sabres (-165) and Sharks (-190)

4-team RR parlay by 3s and 4 (risk .75U total):

Devils (-105)

Pens/Rangers U5 (+105)

Jets (+100)

Ducks (-130)

Yep. A little nervous when people hop aboard -- don't want to disappoint -- but screw it. Over the years I've always had a good, realistic read on my teams, but this last year, OOF. So you have been warned (after the fact, haha). Also, there is this guy on the CSU message board who's always on the wrong CSU side. Nice guy, but the WORST. And yes, he's on the Lobos too. :lmao:I figured there'd be more than just gussy on CSU tonight, with that line movement, but maybe not. Or maybe bmjtncnflmlbnba didn't want to post. Doesn't bother me, guys, at all. Like gussy said, I will bet against my teams no problem; it's like you win either way (except if NMex wins and doesn't cover, then they can go to hell). This one will be watched from the bar, btw. :banned:Oh, and check your pms.

I really got to tip my cap to the linemaker tonIght. That 26.5 saved his boss a bunch of units.

Sharks within 2. If there's a goalie you want to face when trailing by 4, tough to find a better one than Steve Mason. Shots are 26 to 15 in this game in favor of the Sharks.
