Here ya go, Damon:

Temple

Detroit

Syracuse

Denver

Wright St

San Diego

Oregon St
Damon, you get on any of these? Lines have moved a bit...
yeah without the lines posted, I was kind of unsure what to do. I ended up doing an 1f bet with DEnver on top, then WSt. and the others.MAybe Shoulda done the rr parlay, as temple, det covered and cuse pushed.
I took Denver pretty big, and that was my only one in hoops.I was so hungover I dozed in and out all day, missing plays. Took Baltimore, but slept through AZ damnit. Did take GB at the half so I ended up going 3 - 0...but still feels like I could have done more.

Just took Santa Clara +13 because my buddy likes (not loves) them. I'll also put a little on Oregon State because it's on the tube.

WE MOVE ON.

I like Arizona already for next week. And Dallas...
:hifive: 6 - 2

LOL @ 56.5 total for an NFL playoff game
This has to be an over reaction to yesterdays game right? I'm seeing 57.5 in some places. I'm not sure I'm going to wait, I might unload on this. 8TD's? Of course they scored 9 TD's in the second half of yesterdays game :mellow:All 4 games have teaser lines next weekend

Let me see if I understand this. GB is -2' at AZ. That's -8' on their home field in GB.

Now the Saints are -7 on their home field off a bye. The oddsmakers are telling us they think GB should be favored over the Saints by 1' pts on a neutral field. I don't know, but a 14-2 team on a neutral field should not be underdogs to a 10-6 WC team.

Either the Saints line this week needs to be higher or the Pack should not have been -2' at AZ this week. The answer is probably somewhere in between, but either way something is off.
Green Bay was only -2.5 because every amateur in the world thought they'd easily win. I think you'll have to use the opening line for this logic to work. They started at +2 or so meaning they'd be -4 on their home field. Meaning the Saints are 3-points better than the Packers on a neutral field, which is probably close. Green Bay shouldn't have been -2.5; the betting public drove them up to an incorrect price.
Very good points here and I would have to agree with you. What should this NO/AZ line be in your mind?
With New Orleans not having won a game since mid December and the Cardinals just beating everyone's dark horse, I don't think you can make the line more than 7. Anything over 7 gets all Arizona action plus opens it up to NO teasers and 10 is simply way too much for a team that hasn't won a game by double digits in 6 games going up against last year's NFC super bowl participant.7 is the only option here I think.
it's tease-able at 7
Sure. But at 8 you can get more than a TD with the underdog and less than a FG with the favorite which you can't do at 7. Big difference.

That's an excellent point and to be honest, I've never thought about it like that. I've always teased favorites down from 7-8.5, never dogs from 7.5-9 up

Last time I was there I tried to play 3 teamers and they wouldn't let me put Wong games in it at all. Two teamers were -120 and capped at $100 for any two teams NFL. This was mgm/mirage. I'll shop around, but I'm probably going to just use my normal outs here and watch it there.

I have a few tax questions for you fellow gamblers. Has anyone paid taxes on their online gambling winnings? What's the most you could win and take a risk the IRS wouldn't catch you? I have won the past, but only for a few grand or so every year. Plus I don't make a lot as it is on my other jobs so I'm sure I'm a very small fish for the IRS to look at. This year is much different though and I'm starting to think I may have to report some of it.

Some of this can be taken care of through PM, so PM me if you'd like.

If you did that well gambling this year I'd suggest speaking to a professional. The first couple of years I did this I remember just adding my gambling income in to "other income" in turbo tax(where it specifically calls out income from gambling).Taxes are also why I update my spreadsheet daily instead of weekly. If the IRS ever comes knocking I have really good records.ETA: one other thing....if you did that well you shouldn't be taking a break for the GF, you should be finding a new one who knows you like to gamble and is ok with it. who knows how long this internet gambling will last in its current state, got to take advantage while you can.

Lumpy,

In all honestly, part of the break is needed for me to recharge my mind. I have spent a lot of time this year looking at lines, browsing forums, etc. I really do need a break. I have made plenty this year to support myself so I am taking a break to pursue some other things. Maybe taking a break will help me not get cut from some books so next football season will be like this one, who knows.

Locals will always be there in the future even with the uncertain internet gambling age.

With all of this tax stuff and me moving money all over the place in prep. for the Super Bowl, I just realized how much it sucks sometimes.

I hear ya, I took a much needed weekend off last august and all i could think about on the beach in the bahamas was the terrible lines I was probably missing at sportsbetting on their MLB props. :P Bring on the NBA and NCAAB seasons :boxing:

Indy -6.5 -110 (3x)

Sandy Eggo -7.5 -110(3x)

I was pretty much certain the Cards were going to blow it last night. so im riding my luck, cause it never lasts long. Anybody want to try and convince me to hedge these? I feel pretty strongly about them.

How do you usually take your payouts? If you are really that good you should have a separate gambling account. Just go to some stupid credit union and open one and handle all your ins/outs from there. Would make things lots easier.

San Diego def allows 4.5 yds/rush....the Jets are pretty good at running the ball against any def. Revis shuts down Jackson. I'll be teasing SD down....7.5 pts is a lot of points in a game that NYJ is going to slow WAY down.

:sadbanana: This is EXACTLY what I have. A credit union acct strictly for gambling. Wires, checks, everything goes in and out of this account. Makes book keeping much easier.

Because if you get audited it's a hell of a lot easier to explain stuff away if you aren't squirreling crap away everywhere.

I'm new to the gambling threads so forgive me if I'm off base.

MP -

If you made 6 figures or whatever off of football this year and did so well that you're taking a gambling vacation, how come you didn't post all your picks BEFORE the games started this year in the last gambling thread so we could make some dough too.

WTH man! :goodposting:

I am not up 6 figures, not really close actually. I have done well though. Anyway, with the prop market and the bets I make, I would rather not give away too many picks due to the fact I don't want to get cutoff from any of my books. It's not worth it. I posted like 10-15 bets this weekend, even though I made probably 100+ plays. I also don't have the time to be posting my plays here, I don't even keep daily accounting on my bets. Actually check last year's thread around the Super Bowl. I posted a lot of info on various prop bets and it got to be talking to myself. It was pointless. So I stopped.

some early plays for the Fight Night tonight, on Spike. Light on these, i think:

Jay Silva +145 over Leben

Nik Lentz +190 over Thiago Tavares

Rory McDonald -200 over the Joker

and i think that is it until later. McDonald is the popular young guy who does not have name recognitiion yet, but people are in love with. Tavares has had a long layoff, and i explained Silva earlier.

Alright, off to puppy class, good luck.

EDIT: I like Gerald Harris too, but his number is a little too high for me right now at -295. for those with solid money in their accounts, it is a solid bet. Not as good as McDonald, but Harris should certainly win this one.

Can someone explain to me why Dallas is 5/1 to win the SB and Minnesota is 6/1?
Only thing I can think of is that if Dallas goes to the SB they will likely be bigger favs or smaller dogs then the Viks would?Matchbook has Viks +780 and Dallas +800 so I'm guessing your book is getting Dallas money or anticipates they will.

Has anyone ever been cut down at SIA? I just went to bet an nba total (Thunder un 201') and I could only bet $44. I called them and they told me that I could only bet 10% of the max bet, which on nba totals is $440. NFL sides is $2200 so I could only get down $220 there. I asked them why and they just said they made this decision and would not be able to change it.

From all accounts, SIA typically doesn't do this. They let you win X amount then just cut you.

Edit: I have heard that they do sometimes cut limits first.

Game over bud. You'll be getting an email in the near future saying that they're no longer interested in your business. Some people have been cut after $2500 and i've read of people getting to 14k, all depends on what you bet.

Should have seen it coming. I hit them for cfb first score a td pretty bad at the start of bowl season.

2 more plays for the UFC fight night tonight (where i hear Tom Lawlor will have a funny entrance, hope he lives up to it):

Tom Lawlor +275 (.5)

Evan Dunham +210 (1)

I figure i will be lucky if i hit .500 tonight. but with mostly dogs it can work out. Dunham has a good camp (i believe he trains with Grey Maynard and those guys), and his stand-up is better then Efrain's. Lawlor beat CB Dalloway in a somewhat impressive fashion. People are in love with A-Train (Aaron Simpson), and he is good, but Lawlor is under-valued because he is a knucklehead.

EDIT: all light plays though, more for some action then calculated picks. They aren't random, but i didn't have the time to look as deply into some of these as i like to

EDIT2: I have more faith in Dunham then Lawlor

EDIT3: Damn, too late, but i am also on Sadollah -150 tonight too for the main card. If anybody is craving more action, i think Grey Maynarad beats Nick Diaz. The heart hopes for the Diaz brothers, but the brain says "The Bully" takes it. he'll outwrestle him for most of the fight. That being said, i have .30 on Diaz, basically so that i can give back some of the money that Amir should win me here.

Paul had a shot from the ft line to cash with 7 seconds and missed, Westbrook is a brutal loss in 24 minutes of action in a 30 point game, Duhon is a .5 loser in the same 30 point game hoisting 0-8...just 1 break please. :lmao: :X

Put $500 on the Timberwolves team total under 99.5 for the 2ND HALF at the Greek! :lmao:

I'll be shocked if they let it go, but what the hell.

UFC Fight Night Tomorrow Night...I'm looking at the following:Chris Leben -170 is a great number vs. Jay SilvaSilva lost to CB Dolloway who I think is horrible. Leben should make short work of him. -170 is crazy IMO.Gray Maynard is good, but -275 vs. Diaz is way too high. He can't finish an opponent, and Diaz will pressure him big time. Putting a small play on Diaz here at the +235Maybe parlay Diaz and Leben as well. Probably throw in Aaron Simpson for good measure.
Good call on Leben. I for one jsut feel that you can not trust the guy for anything, but i see my Silvas bet is a loss, so he must have done well (i just read he won a majority decision). I faired alright, would have done better if Lawlor pulled out the win, but oh well. A plus night, is a plus night.

Buddy just played a $200 5-team, pays 4+ grand. Like I said, he's hit 3 of these types of late (for about 20K total). Just missed on some others too...

Colorado

Drake

Kansas State

Purdue

Hofstra

First two are his strongest plays. Personally, I took Colorado straight, that's it for me...

So I talked to my one local about raising limits for this weekend while I'm in Vegas and he says he's done for good after the super bowl for whatever reason. He doesn't think any of the other syndicates will take my teaser plays so I'm cutoff locally here for all intents.

It's not really the end of the world I usually shut down between February and June or so.

Onlines will certainly still take teaser action for now but it's nice being able to do it on credit.

Ravens +7.5(-125) is available at sportsbetting. This line has moved down to 6 in most places. That line is 20 cents better than thegreek.
