FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (5 Viewers)

I'm sure I'm going to get a few rolleyes for this, but I was smart (RE: Very Lucky) enough to put some money onDurant MVP 8-1OKC Champ 4-1C's Champ 12-1Any ideas on how to hedge this, or if I even should.
I don't see any reason to. Both teams are up 3-2 and you're getting way better odds than you would when they likely face each other.

I'll let the FFA wagering thread sweat with me as I jump off a cliff with the san antonio spurs over the next few weeks. This is the largest bet(series of bets) I've made in quite a while

Go spurs!!
you'll be fine
bump for culdeus
 It's not over.
not my point.was a reminder to what lumpy was talking about when you asked where he was seeing +5200 or whatever for the Spurs.

I am F5'ing until the Finals series lines come out. I feel like OKC is a dynasty in the making. What do you guys think the range should be, somewhere in the -200 to -300 range, or a higher/lower range? I'm all over this before it starts jumping around.

ETA: -285 vs Celts, -115 vs. Heat.

Let's go Heat! LBJ is not stopping this team.

Jesus. I've dropped a dime or two plenty of times on something I felt strongly about, but that's just...well, wow. Best of luck, man. FWIW, it's the right call, IMO.
You know Lumpy is serious when a new logo (or avatar, or whatever the hipsters call them) up. Best of luck to all, i think i will add a little to my Spurs futures to enjoy the ride. Would like to think about Parker or Duncan as the MVP since their odds were pretty good, but that is a well balanced team not sure who will get it
I'd take Parker over Duncan, but I don't think anybody from SA will get it
I know RN deserves credit for his subliminal message telling everyone to take the Thunder, but good 'ol GR deserves a nod as well. This swayed me to dive in with the Thunder a little more, saving me some nice cash. Thanks bud  Now I need the Heat to pull their heads out of their asses and win these next 2 games, or unfortunately all of this is for nothing since i made a lot of those bets in my chasing days and bet the Heat with horrendous lines :bag:

I think the Devil's woes in game 3 had a lot to do with their jet lag and the fact they hadn't traveled outside the eastern time zone since January.
Good call on the Devils Chainsaw, thankful it worked out because i have a bit on the Kings winning the series 4-1. I do think the Kings take the next one, and if they don't i would be a little concerned because the Devils can just as likely take game 6 since the Kings don't have too much of a home ice advantage. I'm hoping the Devils played the same card as the Yotes last series where they really didn't want to be swept. Since that is over, hopefully the Kings can take game 5

Well, I didn't technically call it. ;) And I would have slept a little better if the Kings had swept.I agree that Kings in 5 was a great bet. I'll be rooting for that to hit. I jumped in to win 3U on Kings for the series -1000 at 2AM a few nights ago. :bag:I'm taking solace in the fact there have only been three comebacks from an 0-3 series deficit in NHL playoff history.

Well #### it.

Dropping a dime on the Heat tonight - moneyline.

If they win, I'll take my medicine, but I still think they are going to win it all.

Looks like the total has held pretty steady at 179-180 thus far.

Maybe an opportunity to live-bet an over if one team starts out slow or gets behind after a quick run.

Really with this Leborn showed up last game. Would have saved me a ton of money on all the hedging i tried to do....

Have to say, if Lebron looks like this on Saturday and they beat the Celtics, i would say the line for them vs. the Thunder would be pretty close to even.

mo, the Phils haven't won since you bet them to win the East last week.Welcome to my life.
 Seriously. At least i got them at a nice + number, instead of this goofy Heat that i got a little on at -650, etc. But i still like those bets, baseball is a looong season, I think they will be at best average until Doc comes back, and that is when you will see them go on a nice run, like 18-2 and that kind of stuff. Really don't think there is a dominant team in the NL, and I got a lot of faith the Phillies front office won't let the trade deadline go by with this team if they are still playing as bad as they are

I bet he was just wondering if they had won one
Don't be so grumpy. mo will laugh it off. I know I would.
That's all you can do  . The timing was definitely not the best, but hopefully the end result is the sameETA: and i got awhile before i can get real grumpy about gambling with the Thunder gift. if the Heat can take this series, life will be ok.

Long season. I actually think you'll win the bet.

And yeah, this Heat-Celtics series has RN written all over it for me. I am in real heavy on the Heat to win the series and ECF, and panicked after last game, and put a bunch on the Celtics tonight. I won't do the same for game 7, will likely just take the Celtics with the points which will hopefully be around 8 or something again, and will hopefully help myself get less than a 4 figure loss on the whole mess. I know many often suggest avoiding the hedging, and my panic from the other night will make this ugly. But i will be glad to take the Heat winning the series and a less than $1000 loss between both these games instead of the debacle the Heat losing the series will cause. And I will be looking for the Thunder to make up a lot of this loss, but Lebron looks real good tonight

Gonna go ahead and up my Heat to win the NBA Title bet
if these d-bags played like this last game they would have saved me probably about $700. I just hope they (i.e. Lebron) can play like this again on Saturday, if not i will hate both of these teams for a very long time :football: My guess is the line will be OKC -130 or -125 if the Heat look this good in game 7. I may wait a game or 2 to see how these teams look matched up before hitting that series bet.

I missed the second half. I had my “Vegan Cooking for One” class tonight. I got all the way down there before I found out the instructor committed suicide.

So did Boston cover?

Hmm, looks like the same line as game 5 for Heat-Celtics: Celtics +8/Heat -8

I think i will likely be on the Celtics and pray for them to lose by less than 8, but as i learned tonight, and many other times, you can burn a lot of money hedging. I actually think that line is a good line, I think i would lean Celtics covering that 8, but it is hard to figure out with how absolutely dominant the Heat looked tonight. I could easily see it go either way, will depend if the Celtics have enough energy to hit their 3's or not. I really don't think the Celtics will win, but who knows which Heat team will show up

FWIW: Big fan of Jim Furyk on this course next week.

Small time money to win at +4000

and will be taking him in any match up props as well.

Not a huge horse racing guy but was looking forward to seeing I'll have another take a shot, according to twitter that won't be happening

Celtics +340 tomorrow.

I find it hard to believe James will stay that hot, and the entire Celtics team stays that cold.

Big game by Rondo, KG and the defense, and the C's can move on to finish 2nd in the league.
