FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (7 Viewers)

What do you guys think about the 4-team, 12/14 point special teasers?

(It MUST be 4 teams. You can swing 12 points in the NFL and 14 points in CFB)

Obviously, 12 points in the NFL are more valuable than 14 in college.

The tough part is it's 10 to 15. You have to put up $150 to make $100. Is that vig a deal-breaker?

That should pay maybe at -105 by my math. So -150 is quite a bit of juice, yeah.

If it's not a pain in the ### to explain, can you tell me how you arrive at -105?

I usually track stuff like this as if you were parlaying ML. A 12 point spread on the ML suggests about -500. A 4 way parlay of 4 -500 ML is -107.50.

Ahhhh, thanks. I'll wait for Jeff the human computer to chime in and confirm. :goodposting:

Can someone explain why Notre Dame is favored over Michigan? I'm scratching my head over that one.
Its being played at Notre Dame and they figure it to be a high scoring game, home field is worth 3 points.
I saw every minute of each team's first game last week. I refuse to believe the Irish are the better team.Don't care about HFA. Not in this game anyway.
I'm a huge Michigan fan, and as much as I want to take the points its a toss up as to who wins.

I'm definitely teasing them up to 10... I'll tell you that. N.D. will have no answer for Shoelace.

Nobody has an answer for a qb thats runs a 4.32 thats Vick fast while he was in college.

I am not sure what to make of ND based on last weeks game.

Took over 37.5 on the utep/houston game tonight..................... 1ST HALF!!!! :lmao: Prop: Yes score in first 4.5 minutes -120
Better hope the Miners don't win the toss and try to establish a ground game to keep Keenum off the field. He still might go for 600 tonight.
Got the 1st half over with 25 seconds to spare(should have been over way before that, both teams settling on fg's with 1st and goal at the 5) and lost the score in first 4.5 minutes by 18 seconds. I do like Michigan St. today over Florida atlantic, the line moved late last night from -28 to -26.5. Maybe somebody knows something I don't. Maybe I shouldn't overthink my instinct and take the gift of a point and a half.

:wall:but I am on the Big Ten blowout fade. I don't see either one of Wisconsin/MichSt. winning by 4 TDs.

I sort of remember this being a good rule of thumb over the past few yrs, fading the big ten against inferior opponents with big numbers to cover.I agree with culdeus too, I have Rice in a couple of lonshot parlays (6 and 8 teamers) over N. texas. +130 ML

This bet has me chuckling. 1st prop bet on sportsbook is will Kale PICK (qb kansas) throw an interception -160. GT has always had/has a pretty good D and a decent secondary. 32 to win 20.

Got a chuckle out of the prop myself. Be careful there, Pick will not start but may see time if redshirt freshman Webb struggles or possibly some mop up duty. Pick "no pick" or no play imo.

Thanks for the heads up. Played the other side for half my wager. I'm not a suscriber (I should be, my limits are still 500) but do you have any opinion on Andrew Luck qb stanford? I'm looking at over 18.5 completions and over 1.5 t.d. passes. Late game tonight.

No opinion on Luck, but I do have a play on his WR Baldwin u 4.5 receptions. With Owusu due back, there are enough offensive options to fade Baldwin imo.

I'm guessing most of us are in fantasy leagues. If nobody objects, I have a quick WSIS question. The AC forum is a ghost town.

:lmao:

Steve Smith (CAR) @ NYG

or

Pierre Garcon (IND) @ Houston

Non-PPR. I have Smith in there now, but I have a feeling Ind/Hou is gonna be a shootout. What do you think?

If any of you have a question, I'd be happy to answer. Outside opinions are always helpful.

I am notBut I would start Garcon. You are spot on with your shootout thought.

Thanks. Looking good with your Michigan/ND over. :lmao:
I'd take Garcon in that spot too. Starting Smith seems like settling for average production where Garcon gives you a better shake at some outstanding production. His floor may be a little lower but his ceiling is much higher, at least for week 1.
Thanks guys, I've heard enough. Don't want to clutter the thread with FF. Garcon it is.
