Did some digging to see what the Jets losses this year looked like:

-14 Saints

-4 Miami

-3 Bills

-5 Miami

-2 Jax

-3 Atlanta

So they lost by double digits to play off teams and lost close ones to non play off teams.

Their wins:

+17 Texans

+7 Pats

+7 Titans

+38 Raiders

+11 Panthers

+3 Bills

+23 Tampa

+14 Colts*, were losing this until Colts pulled their starters

+37 Bengals

Playoffs:

+10 Bengals

So they had 3 wins over play off teams, and one play off win over a regular season opponent. I'm taking the Chargers and giving the points but I'm not messing with the O/U anymore.

I'm bored at work today so I've got this kind of time to do this.

Next year I'm going to try a disciplined approach and bet one game a week that I feel 100% on. If I let it ride is it flawed to think I would be looking at 100k pay day in week 11 if I started with only 100 bucks. Yeah I know picking 11 straight is not easy but I'm thinking I'm doing this. Maybe I'll do 2 tickets, and cash out one when I hit the 25k mark and then start that one over. Gambling is easy in my head

Ridiculous how much money he must have on the chargers to move it from 7 to 8.5. There's a lot of Jet love out there and they matchup really well against SD. I thought 7 was a great # for this game.

A buddy has a hundred dollar ticket for MIN to win the NFC for 9.5 - 1

Should I partner with him- giving me $50 on my Dallas ticket in exchange for $50 of his Min action? My heart says no- I am throwing away $500 for peace of mind and my brain says getting a hedge at 3x current value is a value hedge I should go for.

I'd sit tight. Dallas is playing as well as anyone in the NFL right now.

I would partner with him in a hearbeat. Dallas has played well, but i don't know how you can have any confidence in them. Do you really think Wade Phillips, who has never won a playoff game, can have them win 3 in a row, likely with 1 in New Orleans and 1 in Minny. and if you want to really rely on Suisham if the game is close, good luck. as for the game tonight, i will play more in live betting. a little on the Birds for now, and hopefuly the line gets better.

Favre might be overrated if you say he is a top 5 QB in the NFL, but he isn't far off from that, easily within top 10. With that defense and those weapons on offense, top 10 is enough to compete. He will make mistakes but few can put the ball in the place he did on Sid's 1st TD catch. This is a much different game had the Cowpies gone for it (and converted) on 4th and 1 on that first drive.
