FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (3 Viewers)

Even though I think Bill Stewart is a bumbling fool and a terrible coach, can't blame that stuff on him.
What? Absolutely you can. His team was not ready to play.
Contrarily, were the Mountaineers winning 49-7 right now, the coach gets all of the credit?
I can see why you want to change the argument, if that's what you're doing. West Virginia, with that offense, scored 7 points tonight. I don't care that Bill Stewart wasn't the one who actually fumbled or missed a kick or whatever, he did not have his team ready to play their best -- not even close -- so that's on him.

West Virginia was rolling at the end of the season scoring over 30 in three of their last four.

Russell Wilson is a great college QB, NC State scored 27 or more in eleven games this year and their defense allowed 24 or more six times. I liked NC State in this game, so 27-24/31-24/35-24 was what I was thinking.

That under shocks me, I thought that one was one of the best plays of the bowl season. Dammit.

Buddy of mine is one of three people left in a $12K suicide pool. The other two are in the clubhouse already, having taken the Rams and Bucs, respectively.

He took the Eagles.

To whoever said Joe Webb looks over his head, I must be watching a different Joe Webb.

That said if the Eagles blow this and cost me my Pens/Caps/Eagles ML parlay

As funny as it may sound given the final score, that game could easily have been an over. Especially in the 2nd half, you could see how those two teams could put up a ton against each other. Just didn't happen tonight is all. WE MOVE ON ### #### IT (to Iowa and the over).

I just maxed this at 3 books. Vick under rush yds. Played at 52.5, 50.5, and 47.5. Minnesota doesn't allow many qb rush yds as it is. Rodgers ran it 6 times for 35 yds, Romo had 31, and that's about it. Yeah, those two aren't Vick but that's analyzing it from the Minny standpoint. Mainly I am betting this from the philly standpoint. Reid has made it knows he thinks Vick has been taking too many unnecessary late hits - probably rightfully so. The Eagles should cruise in this game and Reid will really want to protect Vick, especially on a cold night. No sense in Vick running much and taking unnecessary hits. He has went over this number 4 times this year (in 10 gms). 3 in close games and the other was the Washington game in which he was unreal. I don't think the Eagles are willing to take a risk tonight with Vick running much. Granted this bet could be lost on one big play but that's why we call it gambling.
Loser here. Game certainly didn't go as planned with the Eagles being down DD.

 Too bad Mizzou didn't put it in there though. I forgot I have Iowa in the front end of a teaser too, let's do this.

Am I wrong in my thinking that if the vikes hold off the eagles in the 4th quarter, THE CHICAGO FOOTBALL BEARS will back into the number 2 seed in the NFC? Who'd a thunk it. I was going to bet on the Bears team wins under 7 or 8 before the season, glad i didn't.

Yeah, I was trying to bet the Packers right now but nobody has the line up.

I commend you for taking a position, but he's a hard guy to bet against. Lightning quick.

Two questions: What were the Eagles laying on the ML tonight? What is the max one of the big boy Vegas casinos will let you lay on a NFL ML bet?

Gotta figure some rich cats are taking a BATH on this game.

Yeah, I wanted them to get that in too, got more on the over and is there anything better than getting it taken care of early? No, there isn't. I would LOVE a middle chance at half with Mizzou as well. Actually, I'm watching this Minnie game more because I need 6 points from Maclin to win FF league, besides a couple halftime plays there. SO, I would appreciate an opinion on a second half hedge/middle on Missouri...Boozing it up now!

I think if Mizzou is down by more than a TD, I'd probably play the side in the 2nd half as a hedge/coup de grasse.

I think I saw -975, not positive though. Not sure of the limits, I'm a guppie. Reminds me of the time though that I was positively certain the Mavs were going to force a game 7 in the conference finals(this had to be mid 2000's, perhaps 2004 or 2005) and I layed 1k down on the -330 ml. Mavs were 9 or 10 pt favs. Needless to say, It didn't turn out well for me or the mavs. Lesson learned, kept the losing ticket in my wallet for a few yrs to remind me.I'm trying to keep this in my memory as I'm thinking of taking a slice of my stock investment money and laying it all on the Cardinals on January 3rd.

Yeah, I just saw somewhere else that it was -950.The only way I play large MLs is in a 5/6/7/8 team parlay on a lazy Saturday afternoon with CBB.

-1000 at BetUs. Should have just played the Pens and Caps straight up. Lesson learned. And not trying to argue, but I don't think Webb looked over his head at any point in the game.

I did, it was at 3 (now 3.5), easy decision. 7 point middle in a game I couldn't decide on. The night could not be going any better so what the hell. Actually considering a middle on the under as well, if it gets to 24.

I don't care that it's after the fact, this was a great bet when you think about it...for a lot of reasons we all should have known/talked about. I actually tried to tail you but it was like 5:20 ;) and had missed the game completely. I thought we were getting a regular MNF start time for some reason. Anyway, nice work.

I hate when the "experts" say the Boise/OU game was a huge upset. Boise was +7 for that game, hardly a shocking upset. They are going to win the game 3 of 10 times. WVU was only +8 as well, but that game was an absolute blowout.
Why do you hate it?What if semi-experts said it was a huge upset? Would you hate that? What if experts said it was only a small upset? Would you hate that? What if novices said it was a ginormous upset? Would you hate that?Experts/"hardly a shocking upset" seems like the best pairing that would not make you hate?
Just tired of hearing about it. Call it an upset that's it. I'm probably still steaming from missing my OU -6.5/Boise +7.5 middle as well as 1h under, game under losing tickets on a bunch of big plays. That was the first and only remote throw I've ever done - it was after Boise converted the 4th down play in OT with the RB pass.
That game is also the biggest cfb all-time loser for me. I had a bunch of teasers mixed in too with Ok -1 (the MLs worked at the time for teasing but it was a questionable decision even pre-game). The end of that game was just MURDER.

Interesting matchup on Thursday between SMU and Army.

Army will have all sorts of trouble trying to slow down SMU's passing attack. Question is, can the Mustangs stop Army's triple-option just enough to cover the 7?

I think so. Should be a fun game though. Talk about two completely different styles.

Why are you guys happy, exactly? I haven't followed your 7,000 messages to each other. What am I rooting for here?

Iowa game.Hedged entire bet on Missouri at half>:bag:And over fairly big.I did lose a FF final, came up with short with Maclin, but whatever that league is like 1/10 of tonight. I gotta go find the jersey of that kid with the pick and runback for a TD, new favorite player. :lmao:
