FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (4 Viewers)

OK so I have a different buddy of mine who is big into golf (and drinking, go figure). At any rate he does fairly well at handycaping golf. For what its worth he loves the Padraig Harrington vs VJ Sing head to head matchup on sportsbook (on the Harrington side). I don't know a damn thing about Pro golf, but aparently Pebble beach has some very tough greens and VJ Sing cant put well enough to keep up with most pros anymore.

I went three units on it, he is in for "his three units" (more then me) and he is considering going more.

:goodposting: Tailing as well... after tailing your orange Gatorade play, I'll follow any lead you got...Thanks and good luck!!!

Was trying to decide which of my plays to post here, should have went Wild/Avs U 5.5.

Went against my better judgment with Oilers totals. Six game FBG win streak about to end...

I can ask our guy on tour for his toughts going forward but for now I'll tail. Sorry... I can't cap #### but one thing I can offer is I work in the golf industry and more specifically in product development and tour support. One of my most recent projects is a tour database that will feature every swinger on every tour.... club builds....video of swings....preferences down to every last detail. Hghly secure. Point is... my point of contact will be the tour reps for my company and most other companies. I might start trying to monetize their leans...ETA this post will be gone in u24hrs for obvious reasons

Kings Pens U5 tomorrow???
Yeah saw this coming
Pens without Crosby and Malkin should be a five total team and Vegas recognizes this, thus the premium.
I think there was a lot of value in the Pens unders even with the vig but at five I usually avoid them. Quick and Fluery should make this at least a push but I hate losing a 5 total push on an empty netter or something. What are you getting that at? Might get a slightly better number tomorrow, I'm seeing +105. Looking at early lines I like the Devils +110 tomorrow. Thanks [icon]

:lmao:

I was just about to post a  because Iginla took a shot that was slowly trickling towrds the net after a shot he took and about 5 seconds later when the puck was 2 inches away from crossing the line the center knocked it home. Thankfully the scorekeeper in Calgary is dating Iginla on the side and he gave him the assist to put the P&S over. (I really didn't think he deserved it).

Lets see if Vancouver has another 8 shots or so in them tonight so we can run the table.

Looking at early lines I like the Devils +110 tomorrow. Thanks [icon]
Lemme (us) know when those #### from NJ become a play ;) And no worries GB... we butt heads but pretty sure we'd be good company over a couple pints. Gotta make that happen someday.
Devils locked in.Cap insider write up below:Toronto is not very good
FWIIW - my guy is big on the Devils right now. I am expecting that he will continue to take shots under on whoever they play until they start to cover or the line gets adjusted down so low that it doesn't make sense. Also FWIIW, he tends to like Toronto Overs but only when they play at home.

Thanks much for the plays GB

Devils are a team that massively underachieved even without Brodeur in the first half, and now they are finding their legs. Toronto plays some scandalous defense, if you saw the Grabner break away the other night that is all you have to see to know they are a mess. Your guy is definitely good, I don't tail but I enjoy the show. ;)

Since this thread is all sunshine and lollipops right now, I'm going to go ahead and step into the light. I've had an idea of a way to play college basketball totals for a while, and every time I've looked at it it seems I win, but I never really tracked it. I decided to check it out, and in the past seven days I've gone 54-37, good for a 12 unit profit. I figure I might as well start posting them here since I've got so many winners from other people out of this thread. Hopefully this keeps up, but tread lightly. I'm pessimistic by nature, and I fear the regression to the mean.

Alabama/Vandy UNDER 132

Minnesota/Illinois OVER 136

I'll post more, probably, when the rest of numbers come out. Also I think I already posted these plays earlier in this thread. I'm not sure though because I'm kind of drunk. Plays are $ though.

Wow, I like the activity in here post-Super Bowl. Tailing all of the plays mentioned in hockey, golf, and CBB so far, and looking forward to the inside tips about the golfers that can come our way as well. Good times ;)

For anyone wondering....looks like Tribe Called Jeffs college basketball totals system has #### the bed. Down almost 14 units on the year after a brutal January. Glad he got that 800 dollar per pop tout money I'm sure. So next time someone asks "why go tout?" - you can see why. Still crazy that people would actually subscribe over such a small sample size; a sucker is born every minute though.

A couple things1. his sample size wasn't small, 55% over 566 plays last year2. the CBB market has changed, RAS who has an entire team of cappers is down 12u on totals this season, he's lifetime 60% on CBB totals and widely considered the best totals capper in the market3. This is exactly why most people go toutI'm a TCJ client, I'm not happy with the results but it's part of the game. I could care less about the $800 I gave jeff, I'm more disappointed with the 14u+ I've lost betting his plays. The books sharpened their game for CBB this year, even the halftime lines are better than they were last year. Since conference play started it's been brutal. My unit size has been cut in half  and I'm currently blasting thru the largest downswing I've ever had

+105 is what I bet it at

Well then I stand corrected Lump. I remember a long debate between he and GooRoo I think (maybe MP?) about going tout after only a 2 month sample size.

ETA: lump - Jeff went tout in December of last season, not at the end of last season. He only had 150-200 documented plays at the time he went tout.

well he went tout last year in the middle of the season after a smaller sample size, thats what the discussion was about if i recall correctly...i didn't subscribe and just watched on the sidelines. He continued to win so I subbed this season. He's been very professional so I'm not going to rag on him, losing just blows.ETA: actually i remember now....he started off really slow last season and almost quit posting...then went on an insane heater and went tout. The discussion was over the fact that he went from almost abandoning his model to tout in ~ 2 months

Sounds about right Lump. For the record, I'm not bagging on Jeff in the least. I actually got along great with him - I'm sort of chiming in on his season more because I know he was polarizing here. Lord knows I could do no better picking winners.

Do you think he's chasing a bit? I noticed after the tough January at typically .5 unit per bet, he upped it to 1 unit per bet - is that normal for this time of year or do you think he's trying to salvage a +EV finish?

Celtics -2.5 tonight.

I took it too early at -3, but I feel pretty good about this one. It helps that Bynum isn't 100% since the C's a re missing some big bodies to bump him around. But the key to this game lies in the fact that Ray Allen only needs two three-balls to pass Reggie Miller for the all-time record. He gets to do it at home, against the historic NBA rival Lakers. No way Ray comes out flat in this game. I expect him to get those two 3's early, and not stop hitting them until he has at least eight. He's gotta be fired up about being able to break the record, at home and against the Lakers. This, of course, should inspire the rest of the team to play lights out ball.

That's just my $.02

He moved to 1* plays because CRIS finally started posting totals for every CBB game....everyone follows CRIS so totals for every game were more available when they started posting lines.

I take UNC in the 2H.... they look like HUCKS and four homeless guys.
Quote of the day. Heck, might be the quote of the yr.
The night got even worse after that. I took Utah State -9 against the mighty IDAHO VANDALS. They lost outright for the first time in conference play since 1947. Losing outright also killed the last leg of a 4-team parlay. My ability to put the whammy on teams which were previously playing well is now legendary. To make matters worse, I also tailed bmj's two NBA plays which lost. I guess that's why Starbucks doesn't sell fish sandwiches.

OK so I have a different buddy of mine who is big into golf (and drinking, go figure). At any rate he does fairly well at handycaping golf. For what its worth he loves the Padraig Harrington vs VJ Sing head to head matchup on sportsbook (on the Harrington side). I don't know a damn thing about Pro golf, but aparently Pebble beach has some very tough greens and VJ Sing cant put well enough to keep up with most pros anymore.I went three units on it, he is in for "his three units" (more then me) and he is considering going more.
All tied up through 12.

I apprecioate the heads up by Bender, it's good to know what is going on when people suggest they have this system that they believe in to the point where they would charge for it. I am pretty sure i have been hitting easily over 65% on MMA plays for a few years now, but it takes a big move to suggest that I am confident enough to make a move like that. I'm more then happy to hang around this thread and tail guys like bmj and tjnc for awhile, and see where it takes usETA: didn't mean to sound douchey with the MMA picks :bag: , I just know that thiose are a big reason i am able to stay around and tail other picks.ETA2: and i still think that GooRoo is the only guy that I have seen who has been able to demonstrate the ability to make a profit on various sports on a regular basis. I know plenty of people here make tons of money, but GooRoo would seem to be one of a kind.
