FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (14 Viewers)

Memphis Grizzlies +6.5 tonight against the Mavs looks good to me. Memphis are looking to make the playoffs, Mavs are on a very impressive streak but are due for a loss. I don't know if they'll lose outright but it will be a close game. Memphis smacked the Spurs in the mouth the other night at home and almost beat them on the road. And call me paranoid but almost all the public being on the Mavs makes me feel more confident with this pick. Good Luck
why not, I'm in. also will tease Celtics -3.5 and Grizzlies +10.5, hoping it works

I've got one last game for tonight- Sun Belt Conference Quarter Finals:

#1 Arkansas State (-4) v #5 Arkansas-Little Rock

Arkanas State plays solid team basketball, and is tough on the boards. They have a star player, Martavius Adams, who is capable of taking games over by himself, but he's struggled recently. Instead of struggling with him, Donald Boone stepped up and took a leadership and scoring role...Arkansas State should cover -4 playing just as they are. Sooner or later, Adams is going to get back on track - if it's tonight, they could win by double digits.

Good Luck, Fellas!

Are these NBA futures for real? How is Miami 2-1, while Chicago is 25-1? I would think Vegas Insider would be somewhat accurate, but this can't be.

Can some of you guys let me know which online books you are using, if any? Quick, easy payouts? I'm looking to get back in the game for baseball season and would rather use the online tool than my local. Hopefully, I can help provide some insight for you guys during the season. Thanks

5dimes.comBest lines for baseball and easy to deposit and easy to withdraw. They also have lines for any other thing you could possibly want to bet.

Just got 1st look at lines for tonight's NCAA Hoops Card. It's a small one, only 8 games tonight.

4 are Conference Championship Games:

1. 7PM Colonial - #2 Old Dominion (-4.5) v #4 Virginia Commonwealth - Too close to call, IMO, but if I had to, I'd play underdog VCU...

2. 7PM MAAC - #2 Iona (-8.5) v #4 St. Peter's - I'm not touching this one either, as it could go either way, but it's tough not to take the big dog here...

3. 9PM Southern - #1 Charleston v #2 Wofford (-1) - Wofford looks like a good small play to me here: Charleston beat Wofford twice in regular season play, but Wofford is hot right now, having won their last 5 reg season games, and easily winning their two tournament opponents. Wofford has a SuperStar Power Forward, Noah Dahlman, who's a human double-double - when Charleston beat Wofford twice, it was with the aid of big man Jeremy Simmons...who's OUT, recovering from a blood clot. Some front court players have stepped up for Charleston, but Simmons was one of the only players in the country on Woffords schedule who was effective containing him.Dahlman has been a constant for Wofford, and as the season wound down, he got help inside from rebounding machine Tim Johnson, and their 2 Guards, Cam Rundles and Jamaar Diggs have really come on, giving Wofford a very strong, and more importantly, diverse and consistent inside-outside Game. Charleston is very dangerous from long range, and feature one of the top scorers in the country, Andrew Goudelock. Charleston makes it's living through run and gun 3 pointers; Wofford is a plays a rough 1/2court style. Charleston is awful at rebounding, and that's where Wofford makes it's donuts - defensive rebounds and second chance points on offense. It's already very tough for Conference rivals of equal caliber to sweep 3 games from one another, but with Simmons out for Charleston, it's even less likely.

I'm not pouring money into this one, but I'm playing it.

4. 9PM West Coast - #1 St. Mary's v #2 Gonzaga (-1) - Too close to call, not touching it.

The other 4 Games are semifinals for the Summit and Sun Belt Conferences, and I'm going in deep on one line:

Summit League Semi's: #1 Oakland (-2.5) v #5 South Dakota St. - Oakland's biggest challenge making the Big Dance would be taking a game lightly, and if there's one chance this might happen, I guess it's here, because the only two Teams in the Conference with even a remote chance of beating them are playing in the other Semi (Oral Roberts and IUPUI). Oakland has a potential NBA lottery pick in Keith Benson, and they've been predicted to win the Conference right out of the Gates...and make the Big Dance...and win an upset game as a 13 Seed, with a possible shot at the sweet 16. The tournament is being played IN South Dakota, and SD St. looked pretty good against IPFW, but Oakland is in a completely different League. This line should go nowhere but up, up, up, and I'd still keep buying. IMO, Oakland is going to mop the floor with them.

The other Summit League Game is too close to call, as is the Sun Belt Semi pitting Western Kentucky/North Texas. I'd like to make a play on Middle Tenn. St. vs Arkansas Little-Rock to get back some of the $ Little Rock cost me yesterday taking out Arkansas St., but that Tournament has gone so far off the deep end, with 3 of the top 4 Seeds going down yesterday, that I'll wait until this round is over before looking for something there.

So, 8 games, 2 plays: Wofford smaller, Oakland bigger, at least that's what I see...

Good Luck!!!

Tipping off at 6:30 PM #7Florida A&M (-2) vs #10Maryland-Eastern Shore

While I figure out what I'm doing with the rest of tonight's slate, I'm playing this just for the sake of playing. I got somewhat familiar with Florida A&M when I noticed them on Arkansas schedule right in the middle of League play. Arkansas killed them, of course, and the Rattlers are likely a one-and-done Team even in their own Conference Tourney, but UMES is even worse, if that could be possible...not even a unit play, but I'm putting it on the record. -2 is pretty much a money line - all A&M has to do is win, and they should be able to easily do just that.

More to follow...I think.

WHOO-HOO!!! College Basketball at NOON on a WEEKDAY! March Madness is really here!!!

I don't know enough about the Ivy League to play Princeton/Penn.

So, tonight we have the following

Opening Round:

Atlantic 10

Big East

MAC

MEAC

Mountain West

Southland

Semifinals: Big Sky

Championship Games:

Horizon

Summit

SunBelt

7PM:

Staying off S. Florida/Villanova (-9.5), but if I had to, I'd bet the dog. S.Fla isn't much, but it's tough to tell which 'nova will show up, and their two Cory's (Stokes and Fisher) are both hurting. Too many games on the slate to play this one.

Spread looks to big to take home favorite #5 GW vs #12 St Joseph's. Not playing but safe lean to the dog.

I'm playing the other 7PM A-10 Tip, small (under a unit):

#11 St. Louis at #6 Rhode Island (-4) - I don't have anything to justify playing this any bigger, I just think Rhode Island is better enough than St. Louis to beat them by a small margin at home.

Staying with the Atlantic 10: I am placing a 1u play on #9 Dayton (-2) @ #8 UMass. I think Dayton is the best of the 8 Teams playing in these opening round A-10 Games. They were pre-season predicted to be among the top Teams in the Conference, but they've been inconsistant. They do have a 'Big 3', though, and only lost @ UMass by 5 earlier this year. I'm pretty confident that they'll get revenge tonight covering a short number. I like this enough to play a full unit.

Speaking of revenge, I'm getting it tonight on Arkansas State:

7PM Sun Belt Championship #4 North Texas (-4) v #5 Arkansas State

Tristan Thompson v Solomon Bozeman, North Texas has a better and deeper supporting cast. Another Team expected to have a better Season who has gotten better as the Season went on. Should be like last night's Wofford Game, with North Texas playing the Wofford role.

I'm going 2u here.

It's almost 7, no time for the MAC, sorry.

Good Luck, fellas!!!

Sorry that I couldn't post this earlier, my pal has a ferw strong plays tonight. THree starts on Senators Under 27, but it got pounded down to -26.5 -125. Three Stars on the Preds under 27 shots, but it got moved down to 26.5 -125, and finaly a four star play Habs over 32.5, but this one REALLY got pounded and now sits at 33 -145.

He really likes these three, but obviously it's much more expensive now so be carefull.

They are finally starting to move the lines on these. Took them long enough.

I'm trying something new here. There's a whole lot of math behind this, but I have no idea if it's good math or bad math.

Keith Benson (OAK) Under 10.5 rebounds

Going #1 Overall Seed North Colorado playing at home vs #4 North Arizona in Big Sky Semi's - 2u

Tailing Delaware St.

Like Oakland Money Line in a nail biter vs Oral Roberts in the Summit League Championship.

Horizon Championship too close too call.

CRAP. Phone rang just as I was finishing this, thought I hit 'post'...

I'm not really going to go there, but Chara just killed one of the Montreal players with :12 left in the second, and they didnt even bother to play the :12 in order to get the players back to the locker room. I get it, I do. But I could have used a chance at a shot or two.

Wait. One of the players actually is DEAD?!

And to be honest, It seemed like I moved the lines by myself. We had a few hundred each on these three plays and when i put them in the odds moved to -130 on each and the Canadians and Preditors moved .5 on the spread. I think they are being really sensitive with the hockey props now.

Sorry - little creative licence. He is alive, but he is hurting bad. Chara put him in the glass that seperates the two becnches at 20 MPH. His neck snaped back. He did end p moving his arm. LOL - they just came out the start the third period and they are going to play the last :12 before the start the third. No shot - I'm just a ####.

I got cut again after only a few days...so I'm done for awhile. I looked back and after 100+ SOG props of mine/GR's/and yours that I played it was well over 70% win rate. I can't see how they keep those lines up.

We talk about this every day, this gravy train isn't going to ride forever. My buddy is 86% on three and four star plays over the last two years. They look like they are going to get a max bet out of us tonight on Montreal, but we will actualy make a little if the Preds come in. Maybe the big loss tonight will keep us live through the end of the season.

Will be looking for CBB plays tomorrow and Friday.

I'm gonna start listing all my hockey plays when I post here. Last night I didn't get here on a 4-0 night, sorry.

Flames/Stars U5.5 (-125) Calgary plays over on the road and Dallas plays under at home but I think the goalies control this game. 3-2 in a shootout

Wings/Kings O5.5 (+105) Good value here even if the Kings don't surrender a lot of shots

Tampa -110 They are one of the best home teams playing at home. Yeah they are playing the red hot Blackhawks but I still like this number and Tampa to win 4-2ish.

Early on:

1PM Tip Off: Northwestern State (+1.5) v Texas-San Antonio - small

3PM Tip Off: Colorado (-5) v Iowa State - bigger

No time for analysis, hoping to offer more later on later games.

Good Luck!!!

5:30 Tip Off: #6 Nevada (-2) v #7 Fresno State - Tournament being held in Las Vegas, I like the Home Team to win at least one game, and in this case (-2), winning pretty much equals covering.

Let's keep it rolling! Good Luck!!

I was trying to avoid large spreads, but I'm a big Gary Flowers fan, and I can't stay off this one:

3:30 Tip Off: Conference USA #5 Southern Miss. (-8.5) v #12 Tulane

I am buying 1.5 here, for purely irrational reasons. I want to play this, but I'm not sure So. Miss. can cover double figures, so the actual line I am playing is -7 (-145), for the record. I feel better.

Good Luck!

Please don't do this, just play -8.5 -110, buying points in CBB is awful

9:00 Tip Offs:

Big Sky Championship: #1 North Colorado(-3) v #2 Montana

North Colorado had a tough game last night vs #4 Northern Arizona, while Montana defeated #3 Weber St. pretty easily, but N. Colorado and N. Arizona looked and played like better Teams than both Montana and Weber St. I was glad I backed up my spread play with my moneyline play

This is a true Home Game for North Colorado, and they are a more complete Team than Montana, but Montana has Brian Qvale, the monster in the middle. I feel very strongly that he won't be enough, and NoCo will be dancing. 2u

MY BET OF THE NIGHT: Texas Southern (-8) v Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Tex South is the #1 and clear cut favorite in the Conference to dance.

Pine Bluff stinks, but last year, when they were good...

...they knocked off Tex South in the Conference finals and stopped them from going dancing!!!

This is a HUGE revenge game for Tex South, who is better and stronger than last year, and Pine Bluff is a shadow of their former selves.

Tex South is going to pound them hard...and so am I.

Good Luck!!!

9:30 PM - Texas State (+1.5) v SE Louisiana

Texas State is fast, fast, fast - they play with almost the fastest pace in the country, up and down the court at lightning speed. They are also a deep and balanced Team. This is going to be a great tournament, as there's balance across the 8 Teams that are competing, but Texas State should not be a dog here, and it's worth getting some, maybe even some ML as well...

Good Luck!

Anybody have any early CBB plays lined up for tomorrow? I will be at the bar all day watching Big East/ACC games, would love leans on any of those just for the action. TIA.

Hockey tomorrow: 1.5u play on the Habs -110

gllllll
