This isn't handicapping the teams as much as handicapping bettors. If I see/hear 75% of people talking about taking one team, I'll be on the other side. I know that is useless and superstitious reasoning but is it what I do sometimes. My gut just tells me that Gonzaga is getting too much hype after one win in the tournament. Just a little over a month ago, Gonzaga was in the midst of a 2-4 rut and setting this matchup as a PICK would have been laughable. I know things have changed, but I think we might be over estimating how much. Good luck.

I like you're reasoning even if I am on the other side. I did just get Gonzaga at +1 though, man did that move around. They were -2 yesterday... Florida will trounce the winner.
 
I can't really think of any losses I enjoy, but it cetainly hurt more when you have Temple +6, and they lose by 7 in double OT. :thumbdown: The bet should have been an easy win

Nope, suspended for the first 10 minutes for allegedly having cyber sex.eta: Yes he started, ESPN has been mixing up starters and reserves the entire tournament, they usually fix it about 30 minutes after game end.

Early AM Line movement:

North Carolina from -3.5 to -4.5

Ohio State from -10.5 to -11.5

Saw Kansas move from 8.5 to 9 back to -8.5

Purdue from 9 to 9.5

NIT - Va Tech from 5 to 4.5

I have no idea why at this point, just call it a gut feeling, but I can't get a feel on UNC/Washington...

I think Duke is going to embarrass Michigan...

Despite Mason being everyone's darling, Ohio State double digit line seems very fair to me...

Who knows what's going to happen in these Big East v Big East matchups?

I'm completely off Texas and Arizona after watching Thursday's games. There's no telling which version of either of these Teams shows up...

I think Kansas is going to take apart Illinois...

VCU is really hot right now, but they seem due for a letdown, just not sure Purdue is the Team that can do it, especially by double digits...

I think Notre Dame is going to wreck Florida State...

NIT: I really want to bet Va Tech, but Wichita State worries me. I like Kent State as a dog @ Fairfield.

Maybe it's flashbacks from last year talking, but Illinois +8.5/+9 seems like good value. I can't play it because I can't fade KU, but KenPom has KU by only 5. Maybe u144.5 is the play instead.

The "fade shaky coaches" trend says Arizona +6 is the best play on the board.

I played o143 when this opened, that and Texas -6 are my only plays today.I'll be rooting for kansas and cuse as i have futures on them

Looking over Michigan's record against what I consider top competition this year...

50-53 Syracuse

57-80 Purdue

50-66 Wisconsin

60-67 Kansas

64-68 Ohio State

53-62 Ohio State

52-53 Wisconsin

61-68 Ohio State

Most of the time, they have kept it under that 11.5 number. Michigan is above average defensively and they prefer to slow things down against teams with elite players. Betting against Duke is flat out scary right now, and the media has basically put down red carpet to the final four for them after Kyrie Irving looked good against Hampton. I think that is why there is value in this line. Duke -9 would be more realistic against a team that one of the best offenses in college basketball (Ohio State) never beat by more than 10 in 3 tries this year.

Speaking of...

Ohio State -11

I don't really think any more of George Mason after they sneaked out a win against a horrible Villanova squad. George Mason hasn't proven anything. If they can lose to NC State by 13 at a neutral site, they can surely do it again against Ohio State in Cleveland. Ohio State will not break a sweat against these guys.

Went 6-0 yesterday and 4-2 the day before. Today I have:

Virginia Tech -5 (already started)

North Carolina -4

VCU +9

Syracuse -4.5

Notre Dame -5

Went with Va Tech ML, and Kent St. ML backed up by some +5 early.

I am absolutely hammering Duke under various positions +12 and under. It's going to be an ugly day for the Maize and Blue, I think. There's more going on in this one than Duke just winning and advancing. There's an agenda IMO, but if I start waxing poetic about it, I'm going to get the tinfoil hat treatment, so I'll just leave it at 'going in deep'.

Going to go with Irish and Jayhawks later, just a matter of how much.

I'm on VCU with along with everyone else in the world. That line is curious, so Purdue probably wins by 30.

My big bet today is Ohio State. They outclass Mason everywhere on the floor. Just hope they keep their foot on the gas.

Michigan was very impressive down the stretch run in that game. Duke stretched it out to 14, and didn't let up by any means, and the Wolverines kept their heads in the game despite Duke continuing to throw haymakers. Michigan Basketball 2011 is going to be very interesting.

Go Buckeyes.

Go Jayhawks.

Go Irish.

They are good, but you have to slow it down to beat them. I watched Northwestern play them twice, and Northwestern should have won both games (one without their leading scorer, and another without 2 of their top 7 rotation).I'm not betting against them, but they are beatable. You have to play Sullinger straight up down low, you can't leave their 3 pt shooters open. I think Northwestern only allowed 2 or 3 three pointers in each of those games.

George Mason is just leaving way too many shooters wide open, good defenses won't do that.

Thanks. I know more about VCU than I do about anyone else in the tourney so I actually have them to the quarters in my pool (rest of pool is horrible though). This makes up for K-State last night, them and VCU were my darlings this year but that ML bet there is one of the better bets I've placed in a long time. Other than a few of these though, I'm getting lots of help from guys in here. Been a good tournament so far. :banned:
