I took it...I almost feel bad for what I did to sportsbook today. :)
Wick, how are you still alive over there on sportsbook? Have you been able to make all your plays for awhile with no problem? If so, congrats man.
3rd account...they haven't messed with me in awhile. :fingerscrossed:

2011 Quidditch World Cup (Sportsbetting)

Field +185

Middlebury are the prohibitive favorites (-125), and have won it the last three years in a row. But the field is getting huge, and the listed teams only include a fraction of the best teams. In the "field" are KU (#2), Emerson (#5), Rochester (#6), McGill (#8), Ives Pond (#9), Nova (#10), etc. etc.

Middlebury took their first loss ever in pool play today to Michigan. The hordes are at the gate. :coffee:
#######it. Middlebury wins it again. Barely nipped UF in the finals (100-80), and A&M in the semis 80-70.

You'd rather have taken Middlebury at -125? The hordes are at the gate. It's only a matter of time before these Vermont nerds are overrun.

So I've got a lot riding on the Packers -6.5 and -3 as the final leg on two of my teasers - hedge or let it ride?

I didn't know you could wager on Harry Potter.

Thanks to the Cardinals beating the Eagles I am the lone survivor in a $2500 pool if GB wins tonight. Any ideas how I should hedge this? I was thinking 200 on ML and 200 on points. If Minny wins 6 people all stay alive.

Forget the all 6 stay alive and just take the points for your entry and hope for a short GB win. Rule #4 : Don't get too cute.

This is what I'd do...I like minnesota +13 anyway, $500 seems about right...GB blows them out you're +2k, minny keeps it close, +3k, minny beats GB +500(subtracting your entry fee)

Ok, I said this as a joke until I looked it up, and then I discovered it really is betting on Harry Potter. :loco: And this is from the guy attended an Olympic handball match.

Why not put $500 on the ML? +2k if GB wins, +2500 (-entry fee) if Vikes win.

I would take Minnesota +14.

The Packer D isn't that great, and their bend but don't break defense broke last week.

No one is giving Minny a chance and I don't understand why not.

This game will be close,

Pack 33

Minn 27

The problem is that GB could easily blow this one out if things start going bad for the Vikes. I like Ponder but it's a lot to expect him to go into Lambeau and play well.

Arkansas -13 v Miss State this week. I won some money on Miss State last week but I like this line quite a bit. SEC honks? Thoughts?

My balls still hurt from yesterday so I'm taking it easy. 2 unit parlay Vikings -14.5, Under, and the Ravens ML next Sunday. If I hit tonight I'll be playing for the middle with Cinci.
