FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (12 Viewers)

So, ummm... tell me if I'm missing something here.

SMU @ Houston. Total is 75½. Houston has been scoring that themselves. How is the over not the bet of the century?

Forecast is 81° and mostly sunny. HAMMER TIME, no??

SMU's offense has been hit or miss this year but their defense is decent. I think Houston should score 45 or so, so I guess it depends on what you think SMU will score. I actually think SMU could give them a pretty good game but someone I trust is pounding Houston so maybe I should just shut up and color.

Interesting. So you like -20.5 better than the over.Wonder if I could parlay the two or is that spread large enough for it to be considered correlated?

I like OSU -6.5 vs PSU - the nittanies rallied last week, but I think they go down hard this round. Way too much stress, distraction, emotion and drama for a college team to handle two weeks in a row.

I like Boise -19.5 v SDSU - I look for a big bounce and thrashing of inferior opponent

I was gonna bet SMU until this guy said different. SMU's offense could take a dump though which they have a few times this year which is why I was scared off the total there (given Houston just killing overs this year regardless of the number). I would say if Houston covers they'll score 45 or 52, SMU is not a pushover like some of these other teams. They actually beat TCU this year (TCU is down a bit but still a good team). I'm talking in circles, not sure I'm helping.

FYI SMUs stud RB Zac Line is out for the game

 Like they had any prayer of keeping up with Keenum anyway.

And guess what else. He just saw Weeden lose. If he throws for 9 million yards tomorrow, he could be in the Heisman driver's seat.

Houston's point totals the past seven games: 56, 49, 56, 63, 73, 56, 73.

Is SMU's defense really going to do anything about that??

Taking the 8, Mr Gruff. 7th at Hollywood. Ellis thinks this horse can run in the BC turf sprint down the hill next year, good enough for me.

cos, no concerns about a letdown in this spot? It's easy to get up for games when you are the little engine that could and you are fighting for an unlikely spot in the BCS title game, but once that dream is dead... I just don't know. :scared:

And it's already down to 18.5.

I love Mr Gruff. Easy winner.

Okay, one race left, low-end horses...now we look for boxcars, MR DAMON (gruff).

Beer 7. :banned:

Isn't this a Luck/Richardson race? Asking cause I have a good amount on Luck. With Weeden gone now, I can't see Keenum entering this because he plays against bad team but I don't know.

I think it helps Luck to be the 1st pick of the draft no doubt about it.

Luck is going to win his last 2 going away and should be the Heisman winner, no? I'd like to hear another viewpoint.

Keenum has a shot because he might play on an undefeated team and his numbers are gonna be ridiculous. What has Luck done besides lose to Oregon? Richardson might be the guy to win now, he has two easy games left and LeMichael James is probably gonna start getting more press too. I think the Heisman race is more cloudy than the BCSNCG picture.

First thing to look for in the last race/garbage race- is it any of the jockeys' birthday? Or anything else going on peripherally where the other jockeys would give this one to one of their fraternity?

C-USA is crap, granted, but Houston is the #11 team in the nation. His numbers matter. And have you SEEN his numbers?10 games.

279/376

3,951 yards

37 TD

3 INT

Not to mention being the most prolific passer in CFB history, if any of the voters have a lifetime achievement award in mind.

not really concerned. the betting public and subsequent lines over-react to huge wins/losses. I go the other way for value plays. It could well be a loser for me, but I always play this side.eta- I'll also be against TCU this week on the same logic.

I just don't remember the last time it was given to a mid-major with HUGE numbers. Plus, I agree it's given as a lifetime award which makes more sense Luck gets it as he's clearly the top pick. I don;t know, those are my thoughts though.

Ware and Klingler won it for the same school, though they were in the SWC at the time.

The other thing about Hillman and SDSU is, if that backup, who is pretty damn good, is also out...they are toast. I think gbcosjobsdamon has a good angle here...

Klinger finshed third. But Ware won and Keenum is gonna have a better season than either of them and I agree with lifetime achievement award in a year where it is so cluttered. I think Richardson will barely win in the end, but Keenum is in the conversation.

BTW the draftday thing, I got over 1K in, it is run by poker player, Cole, I think his last name is South. You can cash out 250 on paypal and I got mine next day after cashing out at 10pm.

Not just NFL all major sports.

Forgot to add US and LEGAL

draftday.com FF poker is at it's best. They run a cap pick your team thing with a sit and go theme. You can put you team against heads up/ 5 players or 10. I am addicted
