FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (2 Viewers)

Bender- sorry to hear about your family holiday, sounds like a drag, but I like how you handle it and I'm sure they appreciate you coming by. Mr. big shot international consultant.
Thanks cos  I do it for my grandmother to be honest. My nuclear family is much more down to earth, structured and sane so it's not as bad as I make it sound. It's brutal being there for even an hour, but worth seeing my grandma's smile when I actually show up. Hope things go well for you this year and in 2012, cos.
Did you decide on Philly or Baltimore?
I fly back to Costa Rica on Tuesday and when I fly back in January I'm flying straight back to Philly. Movers will be here next Thursday.I'm driving back to pick up my dog from the kennel and then back to Philly permanently (for now). I think I picked a safe neighborhood. Company tells me I'll be here for at least 2 years so there's a bit of stability there at last.
What I like about Philly is you are in the heart of the eastern seaboard. You can jump on the train and be at what 30? more? horsetracks, arenas, stadia and ballparks within 2-3 hours?
Ya exactly. Since I'll actually be travelling 3 weeks out of every month I got a spot in a neighborhood only 10 minutes from the airport. But I'm a 1:30 minute drive to NYC, 2 hours to D.C. and easy to get to anywhere. I thought it was the best situation for me right now. thanks to Spoofy, I easily found out what neighborhoods were good and bad in Philly but a lot of people didn't have many opinions on Baltimore so I went with the place I knew about. I'm consulting on opening a branch in Cincy and Louisville during my first year so I'll be there a lot but I like Philly as a good option for the night life, etc. I think I'll like it. (as long as I don't end up on Parking Wars)
I could have told you about B-More. Getting to know it real well these days. :banned:
Really? I posted in GMTAN about the option of moving to either Philly or BMore. I went with the Illadel based on recommendations, but I've seen The Wire (thanks to RN incidently) and was scared ####less to move there site unseen.
Fed Hill is pretty reasonable for rents and the social scene is awesome. Several other inner city neighborhoods that are great like Canton and the area around Camden Yards.
Funny - a good bud of mine also recommended Fed Hill. I posted in GMTAN that I was basically looking to spend 1000-1200 a month, I wanted to live alone, I have a dog, and I have 2 vehicles and the best option everyone came up with was Philly. If you will be in the BMore area on a regular basis, please let me know, I'd love to go catch a few beers DD.
I live in Annapolis, just say the word.

Can you guys do something about the humidity at Camden Yards?

Beautiful park, but I stick to the back of my seat from the 2nd to the 9th inning.

Strange thing about the climate here is that it is dry as hell here in the winter. Summer humidity is epic though. You need to check your calendar and go to an Orioles game on college night. I went to two of those this year, it was a tremendous opportunity to look at 19-22 year old boobs.

That happens to be one of my hobbies.I try to get there once a year when the Yanks are in town.

Thank god I took a photo of that money.

Headed over to give it to the book here in about an hour.

FU Southern Miss.

I need some picks today guys.

"Hit me with some smart #### so I know that you're good and I'll throw ya on the show."

First Xmas living alone. This is heavenly.

Woke up at 9, made a bloody mary and started munching on one of those big bags of Combos (Cheddar Cheese Cracker).

Got my pups a toy with 24 squeakers in it so she leaves me alone for 3 hours.

Live is grand

Expound on the Knicks under please...I thought they pretty much ran up and down the floor all game...
For starters, the Celtics usually play decent defense and if Pierce isn't playing, really have no one to score the ball right now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics only manage to put up 80 points and try to slow the game down knowing that their best scorer is out of the game. That said, I have no lean on that game.

Christmas always brings me back to the days of playing Hungry Hungry Hippos for a dollar a marble with one of my gambling uncles, cousin and brother.

That was much simpler than Southern Miss taking a dump on the field in Hawaii and losing half a paycheck

:lol:Anyone got an extra bloody Mary?

I got the c's at PK last week - here is to a christmas miracle.

Big bets tonight on clippers and gs. Playing for a 6 unit middle.

Not sure what to think about NFL tonight. Up until last week I'd think nothing of laying the points. But with all the best teams looking average it's hard to lay >10 on anyone right now.

Bears are a solid play, as would be the Under, if it wouldn't keep F'ing dropping, now down to 41.5. Could kick myself for not getting in at 44...

I'm worried about a back door 14-point Packer win, though, and I can't shake free of it, so I'm playing

Chicago -19 / U48.5

...but only for a little action, more or less, because...

...I hit 3 out of 4 and 2 out of 3 legs on both my Teasers yesterday, with the only leg remaining being Saints -.5 and P'ckm

I'm also heavily into the Saints at -6.5, which already looked like one of the most solid plays on this week's card, but is even more so now that the 49'ers won yesterday. Saints playing for Division, #2 Seed Playoff Bye, and if the Pack were to somehow lose tonight, Home Field Advantage is still an attainable goal. Not only that, with a home tilt vs the Panthers the following week, the Saints have to maintain their edge. They won't be looking ahead, and they shouldn't be letting up on the gas either. Falcons are below average road team, Saints are one of the best home teams in the NFL, scoring in the high 20's and winning by 7 or more points. Spread is probably what it is due to the fact that Falcons have won 2 straight, including a road victory over Carolina, and when they played in Atlanta earlier this year, Falcons took the Saints to OT before falling 23-26 - low scoring and tight. Falcons have looked better on offense lately with Julio Jones coming on, but Saints are still better on both sides of the ball. The rivalry scores more combined points when they play in New Orleans, and with the way the Saints are scoring at home this Season, the Falcons would have to win the time of possession battle overwhelmingly to keep pace with the Saints, and that's just not likely to happen.

Good Luck!!!

Miami -2 first half. I can't see any way this doesn't come in. Miami wants to make a statement. I'd rather have them early than full game but I like both. They will jump on Dallas early and be ahead by at least 10 at the half.

Somehow I went into this game 5 points underwater Nd now I'm playing for a 5 point middle.

Well at least I bought my way out of it.

Packers/under teaser tonight :banned:
The more I think about this game the more I believe this is the best way to go. After last week I don't quite trust the pack -13.5 an I certainly don't trust hanie even with 19.5. And getting 7 on the ov/in side of the teaser makes under 52.5 very nice. GL

I also went with the pack/ no teaser. Can't see turning this into a bad weekend with plays I don't have a good feel for.

Moved to -13.5 and 41.5 o/u on sb. thinking its too late to get in unless going reverse of the popular sodes.

Played bears +13.5 and unders on all the rodgers props, yards 299.5, td's 2.5, and completions 22.5 as much as I could get everywhere I could get it. Big fade of rodgers for me tonight

He's going to play AT LEAST the first half, and they are going to want look good after taking a dump at KC.For that reason... GB -7.5 in the 1H.

Anybody got a lean on the Independence Bowl tomorrow afternoon? I haven't heard a peep about it.

I have the day off so I'm going to be very drunk. :banned:

UNC 52.5

Mizzou -5.5

havent posted but a few times, but read here often...

playing long beach state team total o73 tonight vs. k-state

-team avgs 73 on the year (only 66 in this tourney)

-put up 78 against unc and 80 vs. kansas

-has 48th fastest tempo and k-state has 36th

-seen quite a few of their games and really enjoy watching this team

dont see how they dont go over 70 here

Mizzou runs the ball extremely well and they actually play decent defense. UNC is really a mess as well.No opinion on the total.

So you are comfortable laying the 5.5? Or maybe teasing the Tigers and Saints?
