Early Games:Redskins @ Eagles - no Playoff implications...49'ers @ Rams - 49'ers need this W to secure the #2 Seed/Bye...Bears @ Vikings - no Playoff implications...Lions @ Packers - Lions should be motivated; they are currently the #5 Seed, and losing would put them at # 6. Given the likelyhood of the 49'ers beating the Rams straight up, the #6 Seed will have to travel to New Orleans and then to Green Bay to get to the Conference finals. Green Bay has sewn up HFA, and has nothing to play for, since they're not playing for a perfect season any more...Panthers @ Saints - Saints need the Niners to lose to get the #2 Seed, so they'll be watching the scoreboard. There's motivation to keep Brees in for a while, since Brady is still within striking distance of the record. Payton has said they are going to play with the intent to win, but if the 49'ers get way up on the Rams, it would make sense to rest his guys...Titans @ Texans - Titans need a WORLD of help to get into the playoffs, but nothing will help them if they don't win. Meanwhile, Texans are already in, but have lost two straight, and no sane coach would want their team to go into the playoffs on a 3 game slide, so it makes sense that the Texans would play hard here. Plus, the Texans are at home, and getting points. I'm considering pounding this, for reasons I'll explain when I write up my picks this week...Colts @ Jaguars - nothing to see here...Jets @ Dolphins - Jets need as much or more help than the Titans to get into the Playoffs, but have to win to have any help. No Reggie Bush for the Dolphins...Bills @ Patriots - Pats win seals HFA, Brady is chasing Brees for the record, and Belichick is like an elephant, meaning that they've got an absolutely mangled Bills team on the road, and have a chance to avenge an early-season road loss in front of their fans. He's like that - he doesn't forget.Late Games:Buccaneers @ Falcons - Falcons will already know their situation, due to Detroit playing earlier, but after getting pounded by the Saints, they have a creampuff game to get themselves ready for a tough playoff run...Ravens @ Bengals - Bengals W gets them into the Playoffs. Ravens win gets them #2 Seed and Bye. If Patriots lose early, Ravens win gets them HFA...Steelers @ Browns - Steelers are the #3 Seed. If NE loses they will have a shot at HFA. Will be watching the scoreboard of the Ravens game. Steelers win, Ravens lose, then Steelers get #2 Seed and Bye. Interesting that both Ravens and Steelers are on the road.Chargers @ Raiders - Raiders need this one. Chargers were eliminated last week, but this is a heated rivalry, probably a decent consolation prize for the Chargers to knock the Raiders out of the Playoffs...Chiefs @ Broncos - Broncos and Raiders watching each other on the scoreboard. Difference is that Raiders can qualify as Division Winner or WC, Denver can only get in if it wins the Division. The Chiefs are out, but again, they have the opportunity to knock a division rival out of the Playoffs...and they are REALLY rallying behind Romeo Crennel, and may be motivated to play to give him a better chance of becoming the new Head Coach...Seahawks @ Cardinals - no Playoff implications...Cowboys @ Giants - win you go on, lose you go home, for both...looks like a great opportunity for an OVER (47)...
 
Yeah that was a heartbreaking day, so close to having a monster day and a missed extra point and whatever Tulsa did on D made it a rough one. Ending my day with a Sooners victory and the game under helped though, it wasn't a total disaster. We'll get'em tomorrow.

If the Lions beat the Packers at 1:00, Atlanta has absolutely nothing to play for at 4:00. And they certainly won't want any of their stars to get hurt, as they would have to head right back to New Orleans next week.

Car Care Bowl:

TAMU should win this by 70 but they also should be 10-2 or 11-1 and in a BCS game. Since they tend to implode in almost every single game they play, going Northwestern small +10.

Under in Sun because Ga Tech has scored a combined 24 points in their last three bowls. No other reason, maybe not thinking too hard will lead to a win. :shrug:

 
Anybody teasing tomorrow? Lotta games in the zone, but some are meaningless. Almost like they're begging you to tease them.

Very tempted to tease todays 3 qualifying bowl games with tomorrows NFL games....can't decide if I want to add that stress to my day

 
I really like GaTech today at -2. GaTech has the better offense and their defense matches up well against what Utah will try to do. GaTech also has one of the better pass defenses which will cause the Utes to rely even more on the run game than usual. Tech's offense will score and when they aren't scoring they will keep the ball away. Circa Oct. 8 Tech was considered one of the best teams in the country. They have only 1 bad loss and that was in an in conf game. Last Utah's best win is against BYU a team we just watched struggle to put up 24 against one of the worst defense in CFB. Tech takes a lead and never looks back. :fingurescrossed:

Also like the u50 in this one.

 
I'm on quite the losing streak.

3 straight bowl games and BMJ's 2 unit play from last night unfortunately didn't come in.

I like St. Johns in College Hoops and Louisville today I believe but haven't made those official yet.

 
For the A&M/Northwestern game:

Defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter has served as interim coach during bowl practices and will lead A&M today. Complicating matters, DeRuyter also has been Fresno State's new head coach the past couple of weeks.

If anyone has watched, A&M has been brutal on defense this year...specifically in teh 2nd half. I'm tempted to not play anything until the 2nd half...but if there's a side, it's NW +9 IMOETA: parlay NW+9/GT u49.5

Judging by the score of those bowl games, I'm happy I took the rest of the day off and spent it with my girls. Feeling gunshy after that putrid tulsa display. Prolly just going to throw a few longshot parlays out there and blow 1 or 2 units, unless.............

 
Still don't like much today. Put a unit on under 68.5 in live betting when A&M got to 3&10 and it was still available. I'll be looking for a slow start and to play for a middle at half.

Going to be making a withdrawal via Sportsbook soon...it's been awhile. Assume standard protocol still exists: updated copy of DL and expected month or so? Anything else I'm missing out on?

Don't do it. This field looks VERY slow. The turf is a mess.

Pretty sure you have to give them a copy of a utility bill or something like that for proof of residence. At least I had to.

Still havent put it in yet bacuse they keep posting stuff in the mid 50"s. I think I'm going to wait till halftime if I do anythng.
 
On Utah big today. The Tech triple option is scary, but the Utes rank 7th nationally against the run. I can see a Utah blowout today, but let's be honest here. I'm not very good at this gambling stuff.

:goodposting: Utah faces Air Force's triple-option, so the scheme is not foreign to them. And Whittingham is 6-1 in bowl games.The Utes should run downhill on GT all day. Tech is also missing four key starters.UTAH ML.
