FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (7 Viewers)

clemson -3, crushes wvu. 5u
Yeah, most of us were on this yesterday. Would it be humanly possible to have ONE game that's a cruise? Having a heart attack every night is getting old. I'm also playing the over here. It seems like we've rarely gotten two slugfests in a row. Hoping this one is more wide open.

It's fun to read this thread in the morning after a night time bowl game

I have the over tonight, got in at 58.5 when betonline opened, might play a little more if I see 61

Hopefully this helps someone out, they kicked me out but paid me in full(side note: their new payment card is FANTASTIC, best payout setup since the neteller days)

Our good friend betus seems to have a glitch in their halftime lines. When there's significant movement in a halftime point spread(football/basketball) they don't adjust their moneyline. They'll sit at say -300 which is what they open at while the line gets pounded and pinnacle's adjusted moneyline bounces up to -450. I had a 30 second delay on bets I placed there and was still able to take advantage.

And both sides of the teaser hit yet again last night...

Tonight: Clemson +4 / LSU +8 for yet another unit pleasethankyou :banned:

Does anybody have an email address for the Stanford kicker? I wonder if he would make a donation to my cause from the winnings he must have got for that payoff. I had two Otis like parlays, one a 9 teamer, the other a 12 for 10 bucks a pop, paying about 35 units. The nine teamer would have cashed last night, last leg was michigan ml. The twelve teamer had Arkansas ml and Clemson ML left. Maybe i could hire Milton to burn his house down. Not to mention a slew of

I know i'm venting a little late here, still shellshocked a bit.

If I wasn't such a degenerate who has to bet on every game this would be one of my Arnold Rothstein games tonight. That is, picking a limited number of bets and then piling on those because you have the best chance of winning. But the conspiracy guy in me doesn't like Clemson was selling at +100 as recently as yesterday. Clemson played a flat and terrible game at NCSU this year but NCSU is a pretty good team in hindsight so I don't know how much that is worth. South Carolina is the real deal, no issue with that one and Ga Tech is tough to prep for on a short week.

They have a common opponent in Maryland which both barely beat but Clemson beat FSU, Auburn, Va Tech twice and Wake while WVa played ok in the first half vs LSU and have beaten a bunch of 4-8 and 7-5 teams. The game I saw them play vs South Florida in the last game of the year was the sloppiest game I saw all year, they were a mess. On Clemson's schedule I think WVa compares most with Auburn who Clemson handled 38-24 so I think we can expect a similar score tonight. Does it feel like a trap? No but I have my biggest wager of bowl season on this so I am a bit nervous.

:blackdot: : 2012 NFL season double unit size on teasers in december
lumpy - what was the total teaser record for the season?
I have absolutely no clue. I only know that 2 weeks swept, week 15(6 teams) and week 17(10 teams)The middle weeks of this NFL season were completely dead for teasers, one week I didn't even play any.2 sweeps and no real disaster weeks is enough to make it a very profitable year. A $50/teaser leg bettor should have made ~8-10k if they were betting +180 3 teamers.

I need to do the three teamers next year. Still getting my feet wet on teasers (just started playing them last year, and following the rules this year) in general but I am terrible at sides and totals and will play nothing else next year in the regular season unless I get a hot RN TT play.

It's like all the awful FBG posters all decided to be Laker fans at the same moment. I went in there once about three weeks ago, never again.

Call me crazy but I see real value in taking the Gmen and Pitt to emerge from their respective conferences. I played Pitt to the win the SB and the Gmen to win the NFC in the last couple of weeks at nice odds. I did not play them for more than pocket change however. :bag: Pitt is the most complete team in the AFC. NE, even though they are getting Chung back, is going to struggle with a physical team like Pitt. I also can't see Balt beating Pitt three times in one season. Add to it that Ray Lewis is not 100% healthy by all accounts and I do not think it is all that hard to see Pitt emerging from the AFC. I can see why you like NE, but I personally would rather take the longer odds.

As far as the NFC, the Giants present the most value, IMHO. Neither GB or NO has a defense to speak of and SF can be shut down if you can slow Gore down. The Giants are getting healthy and peaking at the right time. They just got OSI back and may get Ballard back this weekend as well. They have enough of a running game to keep the other team's offense off of the field and a pass rush that will cause matchup problems for other teams offenses. Clearly the Giants will need some breaks to emerge from the NFC, including it would help if SF could beat NO in the likely 2nd round matchup, but I don't think it is completely out of the realm of possibilities.

Full Disclosure.. Gmen :homer: but I'd like to think that I can somewhat objective in my analysis of them.

good stuff. And I view Pitt similarly. Maybe it is talk-radio chatter, but I think both the Gmen and Pitt ability to rush 4 and get pressure could derail the GB/NO/NE onslaught. And the gmen can slow down the game. Hell, they've done it before to a much better NE team.

Hey Lumpy. Do you remember how long it took for you to actually receive the card in the mail? I am still waiting to receive mine from 12/13.

The over is up to 64 tonight. Glad I'm in at 62 for 4 uinits (I'm stepping it up here at the end)

I also have Clemson -3 for 2 units. Qucik note on the W Va games i saw this year... they are a below average 1H team, but they are a very good second half team.

I think I'm gonna play the halftime total also depending on the first half. Seems to me the first half might not be firework filled, but both teams should put a good amount of points on the board in the 2nd half. Off the total since I have so much riding on the side.

Took a little over 2 weeks, you get screwed because of the holiday. Once you get the card, 3 days for the withdrawal to hit the card

I think the Giants lose straight up to ATL :bag: Atl is a terrible matchup for them, I think they matchup better with every other team in the NFC

good point. But I'm not sure about Matty Ice on the road in January. Cold as #### here now. Not sure what the weekend is supposed to bring.

what is the "unclipped" limit on futures @ Sportsbook?

500? (I seem to recall it was the same a props).

As an aside: action on the side tonight is again limited to an arbitrary 1100. So weird. Why now?

Lakers fans basically make NBA regular season following on this site impossible. Just try to step into the main NBA thread and get a discussion started that doesn't end up with comparisons to LA. I would give +250 to anyone that can get 5 posters to reply without turning it back to being about LA in some way.

Awful - glad it's not just me. Unbearable. Add timchochang to the mix as a Lakers (and Steelers :lmao: ) fan and I'm officially out. Absolutely unreadable crap

Thanks...yeah I made a payout request around 8pm on Sunday and the money was on my giftcard around 11pm last night.

After the last two nights, I'm trying to figure out the most creative way we can lose the Clemson -3 bet.

How about this:

Game goes into the 16th OT. Clemson gets the ball first. The first three downs, there are perfect passes to wide open receivers in the end zone. Each pass is dropped. 4th down... FG is good! The play is reviewed, and overturned, as it actually went wide right by ten feet.

West Virginia takes over. First play, a Clemson linebacker picks off a pass, gets down to WVU's 5-yard line, where he is tripped up by a squirrel, causing him to fumble. The ball is picked up by a 450-lb. Mountaineer offensive lineman, who then rumbles 95 yards, untouched, for the game-winning score.

That scenario would surprise me less than anything I just lived through.

42-38 West Virgina is down by 4 with 13 seconds to go, 4th and goal from the 9. Smith drops back and trys to hit the TE in the front half of the endzone, but the Clemson Linebackr picks off the ball and starts to return the Int for 6. A WV lineman gets in his way at the 2 yard line and he side steps the tackle and tries to duck the RB who almost gets him by steping back into the endzone where one of the WV WR tackles him for a safety as time expires.Final Score 42-40

Something like this would be SO AWESOME, I'd love to watch all of the gambling forums just explode....I have the over so at 42-38 I'm already sipping mai-tai's

You gotta go back and read Covers over the past two nights. The entertainment value is off the charts. Between Oklahoma State missing a cover by 1/4 of a yard, and then VT's TD getting overturned in OT, it's been an incredible stretch.
