FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

Taking the over 5.5 -120 here. These teams have played 3 times this year, and scored 30 goals in those games. :banned:
GREAT call here. I don't know why I didn't play this. Covered midway through the 2nd period.
Yeah, great call. I'm pissed because i was going to play the Flyers overs for close to the rest of the season, and i forgot to. ONe of the safest plays of the night, good call

Sharks within 2. If there's a goalie you want to face when trailing by 4, tough to find a better one than Steve Mason. Shots are 26 to 15 in this game in favor of the Sharks.
way to jinx it :bye:
:(I'm on the Kings for a unit and Calgary PL for .5 unit.Ducks dead tonight? Need them to wake up.
They lead in shots, 13-9, half way through. Legs might be gone though on this trip, but they have rallied in a few of the games.

RN, G-town... :sadbanana: 5Dimes LOVES having me as a valued customer right now.

I think I'm good to tail the rest of the BBall season in here, you guys seem to know what's good. I'll start making suggestions/ discussing plays again (FWIW) once we get into baseball.

Plopped down a bunch on New Mexico -5 1/2 this morning.
:banned: :excited:
Yep. A little nervous when people hop aboard -- don't want to disappoint -- but screw it. Over the years I've always had a good, realistic read on my teams, but this last year, OOF. So you have been warned (after the fact, haha). Also, there is this guy on the CSU message board who's always on the wrong CSU side. Nice guy, but the WORST. And yes, he's on the Lobos too. :lmao: I figured there'd be more than just gussy on CSU tonight, with that line movement, but maybe not. Or maybe bmjtncnflmlbnba didn't want to post. Doesn't bother me, guys, at all. Like gussy said, I will bet against my teams no problem; it's like you win either way (except if NMex wins and doesn't cover, then they can go to hell).

This one will be watched from the bar, btw. :banned:

Oh, and check your pms.
That's how it ALWAYS happens, lol

I generally have a better feel for under games but they are :X stressful.

Also faded the Ducks so I'm against the flow of traffic there.

1st inning no score/score bets. Those take stones and ice in your veins to place, and years off of your life. Can't wait to do it all over again this season.

Baseball is my favorite sport and I generally know more about it than anything but college football, but I've never gotten a feel for betting it outside futures.

sixers -2 2nd half. another homer bet tonight, which is never kind to the accts, but they will be able to play Memphis tough in the 2nd half, always bounce back nice in the 2nd half of games

I find doing fantasy baseball, just like football in some aspects, helps you pick up on key trends, etc. to find value. Still a crapshoot, but solid wager opportunities can be found. Long shot dogs with an under the radar/non-household name pitcher or great pitchers going against good offenses on bad to moderately bad offenses when the price is right are my absolute favorites. Made alot of money off of Danny Hudson before he and the Dbacks picked up steam and Kershaw the first few months last year playing good teams.Tons of ups and downs betting results wise, but I'm with you, my favorite sport next to football to bet.

Oh I play fantasy baseball. I think the reason I don't bet baseball is because I do not and will not watch any other game if the Tigers are on (right now I'm watching Pens/Rangers and Devils/Leafs over Wings). Plus in summer I'm busy with life so I don't really have a whole lot of time for it. Don't really plan on starting to be honest.

I don't think CBB totals are efficient enough to assume they will always regress towards the mean. Curious to know how far back you looked.

Based on your statement, I am guessing you think I am simply taking the Avg Pts? Is that correct?

Yeah I'm not an every day MLB guy, I go big on the weekends when I can sit and watch games from 1PM to 1AM on a Saturday. I love it, I just got the MLB.TV package, roll the 2nd TV out and sit back and enjoy so I can watch the Phils and out of market games. BTW, Verlander against good teams when the juice was somewhat reasonable was like an ATM machine last season, especially road games.

If it's X more than the 1st half total, you take the under 2ndIf it's Y less than 1st half total, you take the over 2nd

No?

1u on BAYLOR/TEXAS UNDER 73 - get it quick, it's getting pounded!
opened at 74, moved to 73.5 and when I entered my wager it was already down to 73
I'll try this.Overnight hockey play:Rangers/Pens U 5 +120 2u
I'm in with you on the Rangers/Pens U 5 - just got it for +121!
Thanks for the pick DD.
I normaly dont do sides or totals in hockey, but this one was a great bet. Well done DD.

No. I could see why you think that though, being that I bet the 1H lines. I am considering dropping the 1H plays, they are just additional plays/hedges.I am better with examples!

So for example, the Clemson game. 1H line I took u55.5

I had Clemson o120 for the GAME.

Since the 1H went UNDER, you think I went with the OVER.

Right?

It's easy to come up with thinking I would use that theory because since you know I bet all unders 1H... there are only 4 potential scenarios.

1H-2H-GAME

U-U-U

U-U-O

U-O-O

U-O-U

I don't think it would ever work if you took the UNDER everytime the 2H LINE was MORE than the 1H TOTAL, and visa versa.

brutal ending for those on cleveland cavs. :hot: Detroit hits a "meaningless" deep 3 at the buzzer so cleveland wins but does not cover. Sorry to rant. :bag:
