FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (7 Viewers)

A few pga matchups look inviting. Vijay over the other Singh -170. Vijay had rare week off(should be well rested), playing well of late, and has won this thing before. Jeeves is streaky, better at euro tour events, and didn't play well last week at bridgestone. Looks very obvious hence the juicy price. Simon Dyson -130 over Jeff Overton. Dyson showing good form recently(euro tour, bridgestone, the open). Overton with some noninspiring efforts lately. Stricker over Bubba -105. I liked stevies final round last week. I think he might be a nice darkhorse this week at 35/1. In the battle of who is playing crappier right now...... i'll take shaun micheel over rich beem -115. Both players to likely MC, but micheel should prevail.

Thanks for posting once again, intelligent commentary hard to find out there.

Verlander doesn't have two ugly starts in a row too often, much less three..
Value is value, generally anyone over +160 is value in bases, let alone the Yankees.
I completely disagree with this, just because it's + doesn't mean there's value.
If you blindly bet the dog in every mlb game this season besides the Astros, you would be up money. The edge goes down as the season progresses.
OK so you magically know the astros are going to be terrible and you just ignore them? If you bet all the dogs in 2011 you'd be broke and have no money to bet on the 2012 baseball season. You can't make generalizations like that and expect to win long term, it just doesn't work, if it were that easy we'd all be rich.

:goodposting: How many years now before this season have the Pirates been terrible? If this was last year, you'd be saying the same thing but with the Pirates. Let's include them this year since they're usually terrible but have been a money making machine....

You bet every team +150 or better in the month of April and you will make money, every year.

You bet every underdog compared to every favorite over the course of the season and you would lose only about 1/4 as much.

I never said bet the underdog blindly this time of the season, but I think it would have been asinine to have money on Verlander -173 last night.

You can do whatever you want it's your money but making general assumptions like this in sports betting will lose you money.

You can generally assume the Astros are terrible. They've won 4 of their last 35 games. (You read that correctly).

Has this been proven? I'd be interested to see some statistics.

Wanna hear a funny story? It's a little tale I like to call "My life"...

I bet on Jered Weaver exactly ONE time this season.

Jered Weaver is 15-1.

Take a guess which of those 16 decisions was the game I bet on Jered Weaver.

I laugh to keep from crying.

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Mexico!!!

Can't believe how much I enjoy soccer, just what i need another sport to follow

Atlanta Braves +130

Atlanta Braves -1½ +200

Milwaukee Brewers +100

St. Louis Cardinals -1½ +100

Texas Rangers +103

Just basing these wagers on my opinion of the pitching matchups with a slight fade of the PHI offense and Cueto away from home.

Los Angeles Angels/Oakland Athletics Under 7 -110

Locking this in for tomorrow. Good pitching matchup and venue, umpire Bill Miller 6-17 o/u.

Going with Mcilroy big this week, to win the tourney and pretty much all his matchups.

Played much better last week and hopefully his recent downturn has changed courses. Has as good a shot as anybody with his length. The mental game has been whats lacking imo.http://www.pgatour.com/golfers/028237/rory-mcilroy/season/#uberTook a few more matchups. John Huh seems to play similar courses well. I have him in a first round matchup with brian davis. +100. Took him in a tourney matchup against brendon de johnge. +100. Cameron Tringale over Blake Adams -120.Sidenote: Usually at parlay all props at SB, they have some of these golf matchups. I'm not finding them this week. Anybody else with an account there seeing anything different??Sidenote part 2: Trying a Martingale system on the Tribe. Losers of 11 in a row. -140.

Gents,

5Dimes has done a site update. Noticed they now have daily fantasy sports leagues (just like FanDuel, etc.). Checking out for MLB, goes anywhere from $1 - $50 per entry. Looks like the rake is 10%, not too bad. Salary cap based like the other sites, has injury updates and all. For BB, field a SP, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, Util. Looks like anywhere from 4-10 teams. Total points leagues (not categories, which is nice). NFL will be non-PPR, which is a slight bummer but whatever.

They're going to have this going forward for MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL. It's pretty sweet, has a "Research" tab where you can see all teams injury reports, schedules, player stats, and AP news feeds. I am ALL ABOUT this, love the 1-stop shopping for wagering and daily fantasy sports. And the fact that they've given the always great options but plain-looking book a nice face lift.

P.S. - Also added that mini-blackjack client that BookMaker uses.

5D is 4.5 out of 5 for me, fantastic options and no worry payouts. If only they improved live betting man, they'd be even more in their own tier for US players.
