FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (10 Viewers)

mo, how did mma pan out this weekend?
Good. I started off rocky losing a b.s. decision to start the night, but won most of the other bets throughout the night. had a lot of favorites so the winnings weren't huge, but i picked the most of the fights right

Bad break on Bolden would have been even for the day, may have a small one tonight still

dude why do you keep bumping your own picks
to show win/losses. If someone is interested hard to follow props without looking the crap up yourself unlike lines where everyone knows the outcomes. I wouldn't want to look up someone's prop bets afterwards if I was interested easier for me to just do it

Texas A&M La Tech Total at 80. Wouldnt bet the under if you paid me.I'd bet the over if RN said it was OK though. ;)
Whoa, you were all over this GB.90 points with a whole quarter to go. (Great game, BTW. 46-44. It's on ESPNU.)
Well how come you didn't tell me OK?I needed a break today. Played my props in the AM and just chilled out with the three units on totals I had booked earlier in the week, Yesterdays NCAA card ripped the heart out of me. Such a juicy card I was hopeful for a big week.Funny thing was I used yesterdays experience to look like I actually know something. When the Pats were up by 10 with the ball I told my whole family that was over today that they were going to lose, or at the very least they wouldn't win by more then a FG. It didn't go over well and I was told I was crazy. I basically told them that the entire world was on the pats -4 and Vegas was going to get killed if the Pats covered. And what do you know?

I don't think any of the regulars have a real issue with this. I think it gets jerky when they only bump the winning ones or if they are posting bets that just plain don't exist in the real world."Guys I got 39 units on the Pakcers +17.5, but i had to lay -115"

feel pretty good about this one:

Texans ov 14 -130 2nd half.

Houston will have to skip the FG's to catch up to GB. GB still has a shoddy defense, especially with their injuries tonight. 2 TD's isn't asking too much from the Texans offense

ETA: Aggh, i got a weird message at realbettors: "Over maximum total bets amount limit" Does that mean i am cut on that second half team o/u prop bets?

mo, i've gotten this message a billion times, doesn't mean you're cut. pm or email kurt.

okie-dokey, thanks  Looks like the safe-guard may be a blessing in disguise if Houston can't turn it around at all

alright, now that live betting will be providing a nice butt-whooping to me again tonight, let's get down to real business. What are the leans on this Dancing with the Stars Crap:

55001

EMMITT SMITH +250

APOLO ANTON OHNO +150

GILLES MARINI +400

SHAWN JOHNSON +115

SABRINA BRYAN +2700

KELLY MONACO +1100

MELISSA RYCROFT +1200

KRISTIE ALLEY +4000

BRISTOL PALIN +1900

I know Emmit, Kirstie Alley, and I know of Bristol Palin. So who is going to win this crap? Zander always had some thoughts on this, maybe he throws his 2 cents in?

I decided that I am going to tone down the sides and totals and just focus on props this week. That said I just looked at next weeks NCAA card and two games stand out.

Clemson -9 vs Va Tech - I haven't liked anything I have seen out of Va Tech this year and Clemson can score in bunches.

Nevada -6.5 vs SD ST - Everything I have read says Fajardo will be back for this game and even if he isn't I still like Nevada here.

I have a notice trend. If the nfl SNF is over, the MNF is under and vice versa.

Saints/chargers. sNf. = over

Texans/jets. MNF =. Under

Giants/eagles SNF = under

Bears/cowboys. Mnf = over

Pats/ravens SNF. = over

Pack/seahawks MNF = under

Today pack/Houston SNF =. Over

Chargers/broncos MNF. =. ?????

Just a little observation.

Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati Over 39½

NORTH TEXAS +10½

Shooting for a middle with SD +6½ in another teaser.

100/400

Cardinals +102. One FULL unit, I usually only play baseball at a half unit per rate. I freaking hate the Cardinals but they have that "feel" again. Carp is money in the playoffs, don't trust Vogelsong in this spot at all.

I will be playing the unders in the MNF game tonight, just waiting to see if the public comes in on the overs and pushes it any higher.

The "public" has 0 influence on the total. If you're waiting til the last minute to bet this you're losing. Tonights game is a good example, opened at 50, saw 51(an important # in NFL totals) and then got slammed all week down to 47/47.5 If you like the under you missed it already IMO.

This might be a different story if it were in Denver. Manning has been a lot better at home. And I think you are giving up a few points here ATS betting on Manning. I think with the help of the home field advantage they will force Peyton into some mistakes. And I think SD will be able to move the ball tonight. Tracy Porter is still in Denver right now and even before his injury I think the Denver defense was not that great. Add the situational division rivalry, and SD coming off the close loss to New Orleans and I'm on SD.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS PK -110

One thing that's been successful the past few weeks for me (except the Jags/Bears game) is playing no NFL unless over 80% of the public is on one side, in which case I play the other side.

This weekend, according to the site I use, the Browns and Raiders were candidates.

Browns won outright comfortably and Raiders covered comfortably.

Lumpy or someone feel free to tell me why this is stupid but since I went 2-0 this weekend just playing games that fall into this category, I'll be happy to post them here Sunday. Maybe there's even a name for this type of wagering, I just don't know what it is.

Worth a try while it lasts. I will say the Jaguars two weeks ago were a strong candidate and they got beaten like a rented mule.

You know we are right there with you man. In it to win it.

FWIW, GooRoo called the ROY pick back in like July when subscriptions were pretty low. Gems like that are worth keeping subscriptions current IMO.

Peyton doesn't seem to have a great history against the Bolts. 1-5 in his last six meetings against them from what I saw somewhere.

RGIII is clearly a strong favorite at this point, but after reading this, I wonder if he can keep up what he's been doing. 70% completions is amazing. He's also rushing for more yards per game than Trent Richardson.

Andrew Luck ranks 5th in the league passing yards/game and has that signature comeback win over Green Bay on his resume. Tempted to put something on him if the odds drop.

Ron Rivera, head coach of the Panthers, oversaw the Chargers' linebackers in 2007 and was their defensive coordinator between 2008 and 2010.

In March, during the NFL owners' meetings in Palm Beach, Fla., the topic arose about the Chargers' past success against Manning, about how much of the game when defending the cerebral passer is played before the snap. Quickly, Rivera brought up Pagano, “one of the better X's and O's guys” in the league. His understanding of the Colts offense, Rivera added, proved an asset."

“I think in talking about route combinations and what they tried to do against us,” Rivera said, “just understanding what they were trying to create in terms of the high-low combinations, the crossing combinations, stuff like that, John had a feeling for that."

“When I first got there in '07, listening to him talk about it, I'd say, 'Oh. I see exactly. OK.' Things click as you watch and try to understand what those combinations were trying to do. … When we would sit down and we would talk and when we would get into those meetings, I'd listen to him giving offensive perspective, especially Indianapolis. I learned a lot from him.”

“I'll say this,” Rivera said. “When we were playing against Peyton, John Pagano was a big part of the things we developed to play against him in terms of our coverages and our techniques. … It's going to be interesting now to see how John does against him now that he's facing him twice a year.” link
