FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (2 Viewers)

Going with Ball st. and the over. I wasn't overly impressed with conference USA. Thought the Mac was much better top to bottom. Worried slightly about QB position, but Ball will pound the ball on the ground regardless. Not a higly rated pick, but 7.5 seems 2-3 points more than I would have thought this line would be. I'll take the value, even if its only in my head.

Tonights CBB Action:

Stanford -2 1/2. 4 basketball units. This is my biggest CBB play ytd and I believe by FAR the best bet on the entire sports board tonight. This is a not very good Northwestern team who lost their top player from last year in Shurma and now has their top returning player this year hurt. They struggled for a while at home against a much weaker Texas St. team. I really think Stanford wins by double digits.

The rest are all one unit plays:

S. Utah +18

S. Illiniois -9 1/2

N. Arizona +16 1/2

M. Tenn. St. -6

Sacramento St. +1

60-61-2 -5.4 units

Speaking of which, and I'd wait for modogg to weigh in but that price of -205 on Jim Miller isn't going to get any lower and I'm going to put 2 units on it now (with mo's blessing). I think I've seen all of Joe Lauzons fights. I like him, but whenever he's faced a upper tier fighter, he's lost. He's been beating down patsies so farin his career and losing in big spots.

I think Miller picks him apart
i think so too. J-Lau is a strange one though, he has looked good in spots. But Jim Miller is coming off his loss to Nate Diaz and should have a big chip on his shoulder. Only concern is J-Lau has funky BJJ, but he was only ever sub'd by Diaz, so he should avoid getting stopped. lot of rambling here, sorry about that, but yeah, Miller at anything around -200 should be gold.it's a tough betting card, lot of close fights. i know bloody elbow hasn't mentioned any picks yet so i can't copy from them ( :P ), but i'm leaning Belcher, Boetsch, Leban, Halloway, Johnson and Wineland for now. haven't looked too much into the card yet, but if the odds are close to even with those guys i like them.

Cleveland Cavs +2 1st HALF - 105 - last time in Indy they had a 15 point lead early and lost by 15; WIth Waiters back, I think Cleveland gets out fast tonight

Ball State/UCF U 30 -120 (1H): I think the Defenses have an advantage here at the start given what he keep hearing about QB's and such. I think in the 2nd ahfl is when we see the offensive explosion

Ball State +7 - Following DD, Bender et al.

The only time I ever paid pesos for a hooker was not for me, but a buddy who was with me at a place called Blackjack in Cancun, Mexico. And it was the actual city version of Cancun, not the tourist version. And it was ironic because the woman I purchased was actually from Russia. Because she was the only girl in there who spoke English. And my buddy said that she had a really bad attitude. The next night we stayed out until dawn after meeting a bartender who took us to a place called Risky Time where all the local bartenders and waitresses would go after their night shifts to drink after the sun came up.

Ball State about to get housed. They look completely outclassed. Time to go scratch around in the late CBB games to make up for this mess.

I see quite a few teasable games on Sunday which usually spells trouble.

Redskins -6.5

Houston -7.5

Indy -6.5

Cincy +3.5

SD +2.5

Really like Indy straight along with the Giants. Thinking also about teasing Atlanta tomorrow night through zero just to make sure nothing stupid happens, like them winning by one point. Plus I hate them but I can't see them losing outright to Detroit.

i just got home at halftime. Has the knights D been dominant, or what has happened to the Cardinal offense?
They moved the ball well on two drives...One scored a TD...the other stalled in the red zone and the BSU kicked SHANKED the FGSome dropped passes, Perriman is housing it for CFU, and Wa La

Thanks for the update. Threw a quarter on UCF third quarter -.5 to try and reverse jinx this into being a game.

Oh well, I think maybe i am a black could for you Gussy. I did happen to tail here, really wish NW would have fouled a bit a the end of the game and let Stanford get to the free throw line. Pretty sure that is the case anytime i play a basketball bet that is +2 - +4

MTSU under looked dead in the water at the half. I dropped by the house for five minutes just in time to see the halftime score tied at 31 and get scared. But even if you took that under where it closed at 122 you still had a comfortable win. I got to watch that one cash over a plate of hot wings w girl number two at Pluckers. The bartender turned ESPNU on one of the televisions just in time w 3:45 left in the 2nd. Too bad for BYU though. I also dropped the ball and failed to place a bet on the Beef O Brady spread. I want to know if Ref cashed that UCF ticket tonight.

Absolutely terrible beat but if it had been a double digit game like I projected it wouldn't have mattered. Stanford up 2 with the ball under their own basket with 3+ seconds left and Northwestern isn't even competent enough to foul them. If this game just goes down like it would have 99% of the time Stanford would have been at the line up 2 with 3 seconds left. They were still in the one and one so it was anything but a sure deal, but the odds should have been in our favor. Maybe it is you GB :)

I wanted to post this, but the hamster behind the wheel needed a break between 9-10am.

Reading/MC Draw +875

Reading over MC +1800

0.5U each.

Anybody here actually like Detroit tonight? Atlanta has everything in the world to play for tonight, can wrap up the #1 seed and rest players next week with a win. Do they come out flat after a huge statement shutout win last week? The Lions always find a way to lose this year even in games where the have a decent lead, plus they have a ton of injuries. Yet the line is only 4. This game smells fishy.

Good half, although Reading has almost no forward momentum. I'm pulling for this.
I always bet these extreme long shots. It's a lot of fun at a really low risk. Think of how many tough call outcomes you'd have to parlay to get odds like this on any other sport. I'll take 90 minutes, even though it's worst vs. 1st, one single outcome. It's a long season, and upsets happen. Agreed on the game, Reading is getting absolutely no pressure at all. We'll see how this works out.

If you guys are looking for a way to get your SO drunk, there is this chocolate wine, Chocovine. There are a couple different brands. I am pretty sure it is not suited for a more discerning palate, but if you are with one of those girls who used to love Boone’s Farm as a child, get some of this this stuff for her because it is pure alcohol and goes down easy. It is basically just Yoo-Hoo for adults.

My linkGluhwein it the sheeeeeeet.

I was working in northern Germany during Christmas last year. They had this stuff everywhere at the Christmas markets. It's warmed wine, and is amazing. And I'm not a big wine guy. You get it with or w/o a shot of rum in it. :gorum:

Never made it at home, but you reminded me. Might be time to look up one of the recipies over my break and try it out.

I'm on the Cajuns this morning. I just like their body of work on the season more than the butt pirates. They proved they can match up with bigger schools with that game they almost pulled off against Florida. They had a bad two week stretch where they lost to an inferior N. Texas and conference champ Ark. st. The Pirates got pasted in all their games against quality opponents (south carolina, navy, ucf, and north carolina).

I'm not locking anything in yet. Bender (+7.5) and the Doc (at +8.5, great number) are both on Ball State plus points and I've seen a lot of love for the Cards so far. I just wish we knew more about the QB situation. And can't verify but have heard Latavius Murray may be questionable? IDK but that would be huge.

Ball State ended the season 6-0 its last six games. And beat Toledo during that stretch. So I dunno.

(edited to correct Ball State's end of season record)

eta2: FWIW the backup QB for Ball State is probable w a concussion..
Yeah, got it at open. This is my first handicapped by the numbers play (autoplay), so I'm very interested in the outcome. Plus it's the Beef O'Brady Bowl, big stage tonight fellas.
Did you play Magnum P.I.'s accountant in a 1980s porno?

CBB

Cuse -10

Murray St. +5

Neither are system plays, both are gut plays and technically, both go against the system I've been playing. I question how much Dillard will play, if at all for Dayton. The line moved based on the rumor that he was now a game time decision. I just think Cuse has too much for Temple. I watched Temple play Duke, and while I think Duke is better than Syracuse, I don't know that Temple has enough to hang with the Orange. At all.

61-68-3 -11.5 units
