Parlayed Red Sox/Rockies u10 and Cirstea on the women's side for +175.

Took the under by itself, as well. I'm trying really hard to give away the money I won from the Heat series so I can take a break before football season.

Kershaw pitched a complete game shutout last time he faced SF at home on 4/1. And he has a 1.74 ERA at home versus SF since 2009.

Jose Alvarez (2 percent ESPN.com fantasy ownership) has faced two of the top eight offenses in the majors (Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians) in his first two outings and has led his Detroit Tigers to wins in both games, posting a 2.45 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10 strikeouts in 11 innings. On Wednesday, the 24-year-old left-hander faces another above-average offense, that of the Los Angeles Angels, whose 4.5 runs per game places them 10th in the majors. However, the Angels have lost six of their past eight road games, scoring three runs or fewer in four of those contests. link

Anyone have any contacts at RB besides Kurt? Someone over there(I'm guessing not Kurt, I know he's up to his eyeballs in other problems) decided after 2 Golf Majors had been played to reduce my bets on Els and Watson to not win any majors this year. The reasoning was a slow pay after the SUPER BOWL. I was a month late settling up. It was ~15k I owed and I had a bankwire get hung up from betonline but I was late and have no problem admitting it. My argument is that this slow pay was long before the first 2 majors were played. I basically got freerolled for the first 2 majors.

Wish I could change bets halfway thru if I didn't like the way they looked. :wall:

Baccarat question. First, please read this:

Those who dabble in baccarat know that the bet on the banker hand is slightly better than the bet on player. Both are among the better bets in the casino, with a house edge of 1.06 percent if you bet on banker, and 1.24 percent if you bet on player.

The banker bet actually wins a little more often than it loses. With all hands considered, banker wins 45.86 percent of the time, player wins 44.62 percent, and 9.52 percent of hands result in ties. Since the ties push, banker wins 50.68 percent of the time when there is a decision, and player wins 49.32 percent.
Considering the bank wins a measly 1% of the time more than the "player", I'm having a hard time rationalizing why anyone would ever pay the 5% commission required to bet on "the bank". Wouldn't it be more prudent to bet on the player every time and skip the commission?
I would still really, really like to discuss this if anyone has baccarat experience.

Since that post last night, I have since learned from Wizard of Odds and others that backing the banker (despite the 5% commission) is the smart way to play, especially if you are playing a progression system, because the banker has the "last draw" - similar to 21 - but this is based on the player's cards.

Would like to hear anyone's personal experiences with the game. I don't want to go into the roped-off baccarat room where all the snooty people are. I'll be playing mini-baccarat, which has the same rules but encourages t-shirts, sandals and drunk people who haven't showered recently. Right up my alley.
I don't have much experience other than playing drunk once or twice. I think I was just randomly switching between Player and Bank, although I do recall playing another time and just doing what the Asians do...except one time I saw a nice old asian man put out like 2K on bank after I already had $20 on player...I won he didn't

I meant to tell you guys this story the other night when you couldnt stay awake for your tourney

Back in my poker playing days, and the general boom... My brother registered on pokerstars for a Deep Stack Omahi tournament. He called me 10 minutes after it started and said "I thought it was a Hold 'em, can you play it?" I loved Omaha, so obviously said yes.

I call him back at about 4:30 AM. (Tourney started about 11 hours prior) and said I am heads up for the whole tournament. Woke a couple friends up and they got on to watch as I won it. Only time I ever won a MTT over 4-500 people. Was a pretty cool day. Went into work the next day with no sleep and just talking all sorts of junk. Was ready to retire...until I realized I had to split it with my brother which I did graciously.

Been there.

Back in the poker boom heyday, of course I'd keep staying up til 2 AM and bust out 2 slots before the money though and I'd punch my computer really hard.

BTW - busted out in 14th last night REF before the next break so didn't need your help.

I'm going to play one of the deep stack 15K guaranteed tournies tonight I think.

Option Maven - there's one that starts at 8:00 pm

50 dollar buy in, guaranteed prize pool of 15K.

Was ready to retire...until I realized I had to split it with my brother which I did graciously.
Been there.

Back in the poker boom heyday, of course I'd keep staying up til 2 AM and bust out 2 slots before the money though and I'd punch my computer really hard.
:goodposting: Punted my laptop once after getting destroyed in the big Sunday Tourney just into the money and was top 4-5 in chips 4 hands earlier.

In.

Great, you homos are gonna make me get a sportsbook account.
Do it. Do it. Do it!!!!

Would love to play some poker with a few of you cats.

I can't get into the poker league. Pushing all that money around on Paypal is never a good thing.
Its a real PITA... and the only one who wants to play for any "real" money is OTIS and he only wants to play heads up holdem, and as it turns out he's good at that.

Hey Bender - do you mean the $33 PLO8 with the $1K guarantee?

Ref

Let's play some PLO8 on sportsbook tonight

I was the guy who kept making the final table and busing out in 9th. I'd make 5-9 times my buy in but go to bed at 2AM like you (those $75 token tournaments on full tile were great). My friends would tell me what a good consistent player I was, but I literally never won a big one. In the mean time all three of my online poker pals won at least $4K twice.

Great, you homos are gonna make me get a sportsbook account.

Sure - lets go with that. There was another one with 15 guaranteed for 50 but now I don't see it.

It was NLHE tho

I made a ton of money playing 2-4 NLHE live and 4-8 PLO8 live

I played in a ton of monster tournies online (no ring games really). Won one big tourney (and had to split it) and some of those 90 and 180 man tournies that were SNG. loved those.

But, I busted out waaaaay too early in tournies I had a ton of chips in with 100 to go. I would throw it into overdrive entirely too early. So many times I would text my buddy

Derek##: (9:41pm) Chip Leader, 87 left, winner gets $16K

Buddy: (9:43 pm) What tourney on pokerstars?

Derek ##: (9:47 pm) Nevermind, im out...wanna bet on a west coast basketball game?
