FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (12 Viewers)

the girl I'm seeing was in China for 10 days. This is the red head jewish girl. She got back last night... I figured I'd let her sleep since she was jet lagged while I cooked. I got up at 6 AM, ran 3 miles around the lake in 75 degree muggy heat. Came home and threw chicken in the crockpot and made some slaw. Around noon she and I walked for a good 30 minutes. an hour later she's all pissed off because I just want to sit on the couch and watch baseball and she wants to take another walk because she's getting bored and antsy.

I nearly popped a blood vessel and told her it's probably best if she went home/

ETA: she went home. Poker and porn type of night now

I'm full. :X
I ate a disgusting amount of food today.

It was glorious.
Uggh.

The downside of living in a place where there is no chance of having a grill and you don't really have any buddies.

I made some chicken in a crock pot and drinking some Hendricks now.

I told myself last weekend how great it was to take the subway to get an authentic gyro because there was nothing else to do. Now I'm lamenting nowhere to play cornhole or ladderball and drink a case of Bud Diesels.
Oh, this is an mquinnjr weekend. Didn't really reach out to my friends to catch up, since I'm heading to the shore every weekend for about 2 months, and work is about to get nuts for the next few weeks. Kind of nice, in a way, calm before the storm personally and work-wise.

No grill in my complex, so did some Thurman's Hot Dogs and ground beef burgers on my dual Foreman setup. Treated myself, and it came out well.

Good time I gather to do a pulse check on 8/3 cornhole. I'm still good to go, and looking forward to it.

Not bad. I remember for about a year or two after "Girl You Know It's True", everyone was stealing Milli Vanilli's sample. Of course, THEY stole their version from The Soul Searchers.

I like this one a lot off that same riff (with "True" mixed in as well).
Yep - same "ting ting" beat of the Lovely Day remake. Big PM Dawn fan
Lovely Day remake and Set Adrift must have same exact BPM too. Noted for when I'm a DJ again in my next life

Actually went to my first wedding in Philly last weekend. Black wedding too. ####### perfect music all night. Lots of Will Smith and apparently Philly's own "Tuff Crew" were Hip Hop legends which I knew nothing about until the wedding.

Actually not bad for original hip hop dudes

I went to an interracial marriage with a former gf once. The wedding was awesome, great food and great time. Only thing that irked me, the wedding party was introduced at the reception in Phillies jerseys over their wedding outfits. The wedding was also in the lodge/bar area of a huge quad dealership. I was drinking with the gf's friend's boyfriend (all Yankees fans) and knee-jerk said, "I'm sorry, I have no words for this. But, I'm still sorry."

I'll say this. Born and bred Illadelphians are blue collar (for the most part) and don't give a #### who know it. I dig it.

I was at a another wedding of a friend of mine a few years ago and an old guy took his dress shirt off while he was dancing to unveil a Halladay 34 undershirt. It's a real thing.

Be right over after this Jays/Tigers game is over.

Feel like live betting for this could be a huge boon for either us or the books with real football 2 months away.

Oof...drank all day at the lake and ate 3 chicken cheddar sausages...have a pounding headache and my reward is to give the kids a bath
Ribs, wings, and bud diesel. My parents crapper will never be the same.

I know the city of Boston needed Network money to keep the fireworks going if they wanted to keep it free, but the whole stop the Boston Orchestra to they can light off fireworks over The Backstreet boys and Jay-Z is just infuriating. Give me the overture of 1812 anyday of the week.

19-11 with 17 seconds left?

I need to seriously think about how this scoring went before I hit ESPN. 19 = 2 TD's, 1 FG, 1 Safety; 11 = 1 TD w/2PT conversion + FG, or 1 TD and 2 Safety's?

Interesting.

Cabrera is not in the Tigers lineup on Thursday.

And with the grace of a swan, the wisdom of an owl, and the eye of an eagle, ladies and gentlemen this man is for the birds!

Jays/Cards 115/325
Alt RL that #####. Jays -1.5 +225
Booked

22/50
Justin Verlander blanked the Blue Jays for seven runs, allowing just three hits, in a victory on Thursday.
The Tigers ended up winning 11-1. It's the fourth time this season that Verlander has gone without allowing a run. Teammate and Cy Young favorite Max Scherzer has yet to do that once. While his first half hasn't measured up to his previous couple, Verlander is still worthy of All-Star consideration at 9-5 with a 3.54 ERA

It's genius plays like this that cause me to never put more then $10-$20 on baseball games. I don't know how you all do it.

Baseball is so difficult. Verlander had given up 3+ runs in 9 of his last 10 starts The WAR leader, triple crown king is on the pine, his replacement in the 3 hole is rumored to be hurting, the second .300 hitter on the bench, replaced by a .160 hitter. Top 2 relief pitchers (Benoit and Smyly) unavailable. Toronto throwing a steady starter, pretty well rested pen, nearly a full lineup (minus Melky), and they can't stay within 10 runs. At home, at +120, I'm playing this 10 out of 10 times (and probably lose all 10, lol). I miss props :D

If you bet on feel baseball is an everyday thing. I only succeed when I read about everything that happened every day and watch at least a couple games every day. It killed me at the beginning of last month having to study so much, but I ended up making an A in marketing and breaking even for June, so it was worth it.

Jorge De La Rosa was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks as an amateur free agent in 1998. And he is 8-4 (9-6 team’s record) with a 2.25 ERA in 92.0 innings pitched against them since 2004. But he is 0-4 (0-6 team’s record) with a 3.72 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched at Chase Field.

Still primed for UFC Saturday.

If you are into dark, but well produced movies (I am), these are great picks!

Haven't seen these in awhile, giving them a spin this weekend.

JB - any chance Murray loses today? I see that Janowicz beat him in November and +375 is an awfully big number...

Yeah, i haven't seen Kids for about 15 years or so. I was watching Adam Carolla on Jimmy Kimmel the other night and they did a bit with the guy from Breaking Bad where he referenced one of those movies. The movies are good one's, but yeah, you got to be in the right mood to catch them.

Not much to do with predicting future results, but the last time C.J. Wilson faced Boston (at Fenway on 6/8) he was the favorite versus Buchholz with a ML of -164. Wilson pitched 5.0 innings, allowed 3 ER with 3 walks and 5 K's, but Boston won 7-2. He had been 7-0 (team's record) against Boston since 2010. link

Boston is looking for their fifth straight win. But they are 3-7 last 10 away and have hit .247 while averaging 3.8 runs during those last ten road games. Angels lost 2 of 3 at Fenway last month, but have won 8 of their last 9. Last night Josh Hamilton said, "It's all about momentum," and you know our guy Trey would agree with him.

ETA: both teams have won 8 of their last 9

Been running a little better lately. Tried to post an over (that cashed of course) while standing in line for the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point on Wednesday but did not get a strong enough signal. 2-1 yesterday. Tomorrow the kids ship out with the ex's for the better part of a week. I hope to spend the weekend :banned: ing and :pickle: ing.

Just a parlay today risking one unit to win 2.3: TB/TEX/CIN

FWIW, Stuckey has been running pretty well in bases as of late and is on KC, CLE and SF today.

Back at it with the Cards tonight (Westbrook) opening a series at home vs the Marlins, RL +120.

If my Dad were alive he'd be 101 today! Lived a happy, healthy 87 years. I turned 45 about 2 months ago. That peter potion was still potent at 56! GB Dad! Here's to strong seed in the bloodlines - still plenty of time to screw off before settling down and getting serious about raising a family!

BetUS challenge:

social commentary: i've lived in dc for my entire life and last night was the first time I've seen fireworks on the National Mall
