FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (7 Viewers)

I don't mind losing a few bucks when the Silver & Black play well.

This is the first time in awhile I haven't been suicidal after 5 weeks.

I watched exactly 3 plays of the late snf game

with that said i'd love it if they made it a regular thing but i'm sure it's some type of contract problem with the other networks

Thirteen consecutive hours of football with a tight 30 minute window before SNF to make a food run.

Give us yesterday's NFL schedule and two MNF games on the regular and I think we would be good.
They need to do a better job of evening out the 1:00 and 4:00 games. Only have 2 4:00 games suxor
I feel like there has to be an ulterior motive at play here. Maybe phasing out the value in having Sunday Ticket, as has been mentioned in other threads as a reason for the lop-sided slates of 1PM vs. 4PM games.

I have to think it's something along the lines of monetizing the telecasts. And yes, it really stinks.

well, there were 4 teams on bye and they lost the Oakland game due to the baseball playoffs. Plus they lose 2 games to Thursday night and Monday night. I think every early game on Sunday was played in the Eastern or Central time zones so that's the normal kickoff time.

Yeah, it was a bad week logistically. It just seems like there's generally not a lot of volume in the number of 4PM games vs. 1PM anymore, which I love.

The Jets field the best defense Matt Ryan has faced this season. They rank No. 2 in total defense and are tied for third in sacks (14). They allow the lowest completion rate (51.4) to opposing QBs.

On offense, Geno Smith has 11 turnovers. And no quarterback in football has been sacked for more negative yards. He faces the 26th ranked pass defense that allows a 9:3 TD-to-INT ratio and is tied for 27th in sacks (7). He will have Stephen Hill, who practiced fully Saturday with no restrictions, and also Mike Goodson and Chris Ivory against the Falcons 6th ranked rush defense.

The Jets also made a change to the starting lineup this week in an effort to fix things on offense. Rookie Brian Winters will start at left guard instead of Vlad Ducasse, who struggled the past two weeks with penalties and pass blocking.

The Jets have only been underdogs of 9.5 points or more four times under HC Rex Ryan. All four were at Foxboro. They covered the spread three times.

Mike Smith's Falcons team is 9-0 SU and 5-4 ATS as a favorite of 9.5 or more. Fun Fact: Smith's first NFL job was as a defensive assistant for the Baltimore Ravens in 1999, under defensive line coach Rex Ryan.

Looks like the early wiseguy money moved the Jags off that all-important 28 down to a tantalizing +27.5.

combo of SB and Bovada
*1 Winslow under 5 rec (-125)
*1 Winslow under 54.5 rec
*1 Powell under 62.5 rushing
*1 Powell under 90.5 rush.rec

think with goodson, and ivory back powell might not see as many snaps as he has.

The last time the Falcons were a 9.5 favorite was week 11 last year, at home against Arizona's 2nd ranked pass defense at the time (9th overall at the time). The Falcons failed to cover the spread, but won SU 23-19 after enduring 5 Matt Ryan interceptions, and 6 total turnovers. The Jets come into tonight ranked 7th against the pass.

RB live betting for baseball is pretty good, lines up during the inning

I'm not getting #### done at work right now

The Falcons are 1-3 SU and ATS this year, but have outscored their opponents 34-0 in the 1Q. They have been outscored 23-36 in the 2Q, and 37-68 in the 2H. The Falcon defense allows 65% of their opponents total points to be scored in the 2H.

2u ATL -3 1Q
This is a little more risky than what I have been trying to do lately but it will be fun to root for. I'm in there with you at -3 on a 5¢ line. Looking deeper I found that the Falcons haven't allowed a 1Q score in the past 6 games, and haven't allowed a 1Q TD in ten games, since 12/9 at Carolina.

edit: since it's still technically week 5 might as well hose off the inside of the party bus for the clean sweep, let's party

falcons 1q at 5 dimes is -1/2. am i seeing something else?
it's -140 there though.

I played -3 (-110) at RB.

probably just a matter of whether you want a a 3-0 or 6-3 lead to be a win or push and how much that's worth to you in vig.

I like it. I think Detroit rolls today, honestly.
Jesus, sometimes waking up at 3pm pays off. I wouldn't have seen this one coming either, FTR.
Baseball is a dumb, arbitrary game. I'll take it though.

Doyers starting Kershaw in g4...woof.
On the bright side I got free beers and was able to talk myself out of a parking ticket after the game (meter had to have expired minutes before I walked out and Johnny On The Spot was writing one up...asked him to give me a break and surprisingly he did)

I'm not going to make it to LSNF, I've got a pirated version of Downton Abbey on deck. :(
NTTAWWT

Seriously, is it any good?
Sorry, forgot to respond to this. I enjoy this show a lot, but it's obviously pretty talky and nowhere near as action-packed as a lot of other "prestige dramas." That said, it's well-acted, well-written, and pretty interesting historically. Season 1 was probably still the best, and they've lost a few pretty good actors, but it's still an enjoyable watch.

:confetti:

Patriots -1.5
They're getting healthier, I'll take it.
