I'm seeing an average of 65% of bets are on East Carolina on four different sites - that goes against your previous posts about fading the public. That concern you?

Might be one of the biggest mismatches on paper. Who knows with these, I don't love the bet but Ohio is a pretty bad football team and ECU is pretty decent.

ETA: Pinnacle has Birds -7.5. No brainer teaser option if it sits on 7.5, but that's a heavy line for a road team, even in a big spot like this without Romo.

My logic - Let's assume the Eagles get the #3 seed with a W Sunday night. They'd draw the Saints/Cards at home in the Wildcard, then the Panthers on the road. I'm not going to pretend they can take down the Seahawks if they matched up @ Seattle, but I'm thinking it could provide some nice lay-off opportunities along the way if they could advance in the Playoffs for a small investment.

My bowl game breakdowns don't help me at all with the Hawaii Bowl tomorrow, I had Oregon State as a 2 point favorite and a total of 63. I also don't think balcony peeing Southwick being out means much, Hedrick is completely capable of running that offense. Both teams got housed by Washington, Oregon State won by 4 @ San Diego State and Boise lost by 4 @San Diego State. Five of the six Oregon State losses came to bowl teams, the sixth loss was to FCS power Eastern Washington who probably could beat most of the teams who have already played in bowl games.

Four of the last five years have been blowouts, underdog has also won four of the past five. Public Oregon State with great vigor yet the books are holding Boise at +3 -120. For the total Oregon State can't stop anyone good at all, and Boise tries to run 100 plays a game. I like Boise and the over a bit here, but since I'm trying to apply more restraint to this bowl season I actually might lay off here.
