FFA Wagering Thread: THERE HE IS!@! (9 Viewers)

One of the best days of the year today. I used to play hooky from school starting in 9th grade on this day, will be playing hooky from work at about 3pm. Seems like I might be due a dental appt, lol.

#6 Ohio State -6 over #11 Dayton South Region/Buffalo, NY, 1u, Ohio State ML -300, 5u. I think Ohio State has a huge defensive advantage here, and I love senior backcourts. Buckeye's defensive tenacity should prevent them from getting behind if they start throwing up bricks for a stretch.

#9 Pittsburgh -6 (-120) over #11 Dayton South Region/Orlando, FL, 1u, Pittsburgh ML -290, 6u. Pitt flexes some muscle today vs Colorado minus Dinwiddie. The Buffs have held their own without him, but largely against average opponents. Against superior competition, they get run over. I think the Panthers are that kind of team.

#7 Oregon -5 vs #10 BYU West Region, Milwaukee WI, 2u. Ducks have figured it out after starting out hot, and then slumping midseason. They were relying too much on SG Domenic Artis, and they've gotten away from that and back to playing team basketball down the stretch. I don't think they'll go far, but facing BYU without Collinsworth today should at least get them to Saturday.

Smith (osu) under 11.5p -130

Cooney (cuse) over 11.5p -110

Saunders (harv) under 11p -110 (this is 14 at sportsbook)

Scott (col) under 8r -120

Moser (ore) over 13.5p -120

Wilbekin (fl) over 2 made 3s -120

Payne (msu) over 7.5r -120

Turner (ncsu) under 10.5p -120

Evans (slu) over 6.5r -120

Bell (nova) under 14.5p -130 (also like under his combined number at sportsbook)

Carson (asu) under 8.5r+a -140

Beamon (man) under 16.5p -110

Smith (lville) under 1.5 made 3s -120

#1 Florida -21 vs #16 Albany South Region, Orlando, FL, 1u It's really too bad Mt. St. Mary's didn't beat Albany on Tuesday. They'd have at least run with the Gators because it's what they do, and it would have been exciting, although likely the same end result - a blowout loss. They shot like crap, though, and it cost them. So the way I look at it, the Mountaineers lost that game more than Albany won it, and the Great Danes will pay the price today. Their offense is putrid, and they have nowhere near the caliber of athletes as the Gators. Billy Donovan knows not to call off the dogs, so I don't anticipate a mercy backdoor here.

thx for

Biggest game bets today are Cincy, American, Oklahoma, Milwaukee, and Louisville
I think American has a credible chance for an upset today, and I'd bet it if the game was anywhere but Milwaukee. I'd really like to bet the Bearcats, but I like so many other early plays more - I'm superstitious about brains vs brawn in that one. I don't think Milwaukee belongs in this Tournament, but I don't see Villanova beating anyone by 20, either. I'll bet Louisville later if my early plays work out. You're much better at this than I am, so my cautiousness about your plays is just me being foolish. I like them all, I just don't have the stones. Good luck!

Looks good

I'm on Harvard S/U and with points.

I have no idea what i'm doing...which makes it kinda nice. I get to wager on the teams with the best looking jerseys.

My first dog!

#10 St. Joseph's +6 -120 over #7 Villanova East Regional, Buffalo, NY. I think St. Joe's has more versatility on offense. The Huskies simply have no inside game, and have to rely on their long-distance shots falling consistently to beat anyone convincingly, and those are lower percentage shots. St. Joe's Achilles Heel is turnovers, but they are very efficient on offense which can, and has overcome that. I think this is going to be a shootout, and St. Joe's will keep it close, and might outright win if the U. Conn. bricks 3's, which absolutely could happen...
